Here in eastern europe we bring the buckwheat to a boil on medium heat, then let it simmer with a lid on top in a way that lets out a little bit of steam. That way the buckwheat takes longer to cook, but becomes really soft and delicious

Looks like this would be a terrific substitute for rice and have lot's of uses - perhaps even a better alternative to the brown rice I include in the food I make for our two bull dogs
I'm hoping if I continue to seek out foods with anti-inflammatory properties I might get some relief from the pain in my legs and feet which ranges from annoying to excruciating. Was just on Amazon reading reviews on different Brands and saw comments by people who like their Buckwheat to sprout - not exactly sure why but I'll find out! Thank's Dr. Haider for another great video my best to Flora and please know Vincinte continues to be in my prayers.

    Hi Dr Haider
    Nice video.
Over the years I've heard/read of certain foods that have "spiritual" value. Foods such as rice, pinyon nuts, and others. They are added to a person's diet and makes the consumer feel better in mind, body, and spirit. Recently, I have taken to eating buckwheat in the form of *kasha* and find that it gives me the same good feeling that I get from eating pinyon nuts. Have you or any of your friends here ever had the same experience? So good to know that the buckwheat is doing me good. I hope it does equally well for many, many others.

You can also soak and rinse it, and you can then eat it raw, to get optimum nutrition out of it (cooking kills off some of the enzymes and antioxidants- leaving it much less life-force). After soaking & rinsing, I dehydrate them a little to crisp them back up and use them as mini-croutons for salads, or as a healthy nutty-crunch to raw vegan gluten-free and sugar-free home made healthy chocolates.
