UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. It has three parts, the Prelims exam, the Main exam and the Personality test, which you need to clear in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. All other Group A services of the Government of India recruit people through the UPSC Civil services exam itself and because of this, there is a lot of competition in this exam. Hence, your UPSC preparation should be strategic, informed and well planned.
Your UPSC preparation should not be based on blind adherence to any program. Rather you should give a thought about how your are preparing. The best way to go forward is to study the blogs and tips given by previous year toppers about how to go about UPSC CSE for all three stages of UPSC Prelims, UPSC Mains and the Personality test also known as the UPSC Interview, and then make your UPSC preparation strategy accordingly.
Doing static subjects like polity, economy, environment, geography and history for your UPSC preparation is a solid bet to increase your chances of clearing this exam. But this must all be supplemented by current affairs for best effect.

Do the work.
Team UPSCPrep.com
Depends on person to person I like to study one subject
I also it's very effective
Meanwhile, IITians enter the chat
After studying for two years , I know he is right.
Don't listen to anyone just believe in urself and in ur own strategy.
Giving too much time to any subject in a day reduces retaining power
Productivity km ho jaatii he jitna ki mene try kiya he
Thts why its also okay to continue 2 subjects
@@hppppp0pp921 yup🙂
2 subject with optional....or one subject and optional is enough
one sub + optional and daily CA@@chandra3293
Correct.
Sahi baat hai specially when we are begineer it is better to complete subjects one at a time rather than juggling withmultiple.
I think reading alternate gives variation in mind and good for understand
Etna pdne ke baad sb bhool jata he
Kya pda 😅😅

I studied 6 subjects a day for months n qualified upsc prelims 2024 in my first attempt ,so don't spread fear everyone has got his or her own journey let them njoy
Brother if I am studying a subject whole day then my interest is like gone so I don't think I can follow it😅
yes sir
Just one subject a day, might create monotony and taking more than 5/6 subjects also can create chaos , and might decrese the retention of the material in brain. So imo , finding a middle ground and sticking to just 3/4 subjects might work for most people
Nahi bhai... Hmara brain kuch structure lekar chal rha h jo same hain...iski scientific study dekho, dekhi to mne b nahi h but 2 subjects lekr chalte hain boht se log jo ki retain bhi kr pate hain hum
yes sir this is true
Morning optional 5 hours
Then polity, economics and night current affairs
Day done 🤞
Better to study one subject for proper concept clarity
I agree
Valuable information 🙏🏻
We should focus on our strategy.
Thank u sir 🙏
Thank you
Best advice ❤
Much needed video in my life
But we get bore with subject after three hours
I’m studying 3 subjects a day 😃 History CSAT & Economics
Me 2 subject hi pdta hu...lekin jb exam aate hai to 1 1 hi pdta hu
True
Please do one or max 2 subs a day with proper interest and Curiosity
Doing more subjects is all about cramming and turning pages...
Everysubject is trying to teach u something..just grab that essence
Study for not just clearing the exam but for Your personality development also...
Whatever u study apply it to real world , apply it to real world problems.
Do a subject wholeheartedly
Do it like
No body can do it better than me approach and see the magic
Please everyone
Dont let studies bore you
It will be tiring.
Treat books like your friends and see the magic.
Koi 5vi 6ti ka exam nhi h jo ratt ratt k pass ho jaoge..!
Be blessed
Sir sach mein मैं isi doubt mein tha ki kahi mein galat toh nhi krr rha hu ( ek hi book ko poore din pdh rha hu) but aaj apne isi pe short bna dia... Tq sir 😊
I was doing this same mistake. Now I will complete 1 subject first.
Everyone strategy is different ,
Best way is to Study Smartly
Don't need to Coverup whole book if we have less time at our hands
Focus on the most important and most frequently asked topics
Mugup them and when done we can move on to complete the remaining. Even a Brief Reading is also Acceptable
Yeah to some extent it may be true, but i feel reading only one subject for longer period could make us feel bore, it reduces our focus nd interest as well.
If someone is reading for 10 hours and still able to read 50 pages then he should reconsider his career choices.
When the material is dense, it makes sense to slow down to digest it better.
No point in rushing through a book only to realise later that you didn't understand what you were reading.
But if you can endure those 3 4 month believe me interleaving have been scientifically proven to be one of best study technique
That way you can establish Interlinkage between inter and intra subjects
One book after finish another book... Also take huge amount to huge time..... Maybe more than multiple subjects at day and apart from HYPERTENSION of huge unfinish reading, current affairs, other negligible topics.
What about student they have to study 5 subject daily
🙏🙏🙏
2 subjects including the optional right?
I have the same doubt
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mai 3 subject padhti hun 1 din me Target to 5 subject ka banati hun par din bhar me ya to 2 subject padh pati hun ya 3 subject usse jyada nahi
Sir maa aabhi delhi mee hu but maan nahi maan raha ki UPSC ki preparation yaha si karu , I am confuse? ? 😅 help me to make a decision -
Sayad wohi prblm meri ho rahi hai
Unless you are an IITIAN, you can't study 5 subjects in a day.
They are best at time management skills.
I can only read 5-6 pages a day of spectrum 😢
Isse accha sujeet sir se pad lo
☺️
👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏
No we should distract our mind
continuity feels boring and after a time our mind stops to take the information .
Mera to 3 hai bhai 😂
mai toh GA/reasoning/ quants padha hu 1 din mai 2.5 hr ka shift laga ke
my target is rrb ntpc
Same mistake I have done sir 😢😢😢😢
1 din main 15 page bhi nahi hota hai sir ji
Ek subject ko padho phir usko 1 mahin chord do...phir dusra pakro usko karo..aise me sab chopat ho jayega.... isliye tmko jaise thik lagta haj wo karo...mai ne hourly basis me divide kar rakha hai subjects or ek din me optional+CA+modern+art and culture+economy+environment+newspaper+polity+society+ancient+IR ye isko 1 week follow karta hun phir dusre bache se subjects me switch karta hun....kiyuki agar ek v subject lag kar rha hai to mere mann ko Shanti nhi milti hai
You are wrong. Aap ek food 20 days kha sakte ??😮
Sir mujhe ye confusion rehti hai ki kisi book ki first reading mein mujhe sirf read krna h yah learn krna h.? Pls reply
First read kro tb bs casually pdhte chalo kuch chize ekdm smj ni aayengi lekin kuch bht ache se aayengi ek bar jb uski reading khtm hogi to us se related kahi koi MCQ question mile to usko solve kro
Jb ap second reading kroge na apko aisi aisi nyi chize milegi apko lgega are ye kitna important h aur ye to apne phle dekha hi nhi ...(ye smjh ques krne se develop hoti h)
3rd reading me fir se apko bht kuch Naya milega Jo apko 1,2 nd reading m nhi Mila tha
Dheere dheere chize yd bhi rhegi apne aap aur jo na rhe usko ache se smjh smjh k read Krna
Thanks for asking the question and thanks for answering the same.
I had doubted myself that ek baar me mujhe kuch smjh kyu nhi aata.
Do you have any group of newly preparing aspirants?
Please suggest
Aisa kuch mat socho.
Jitna ho sake achche se concepts ko samjhte huye padhte jao.
Fir chapter reading ke baad ek 10 mins ka break lo. 1 hour lagega samajh kar padhte huye.
Fir break ke baad, book ko band kar do. And apni memory se chapter ki full understanding ke notes banao. Sirf text mat likho, tumhe Jo samajh mein aaya woh likho. Aisa bhi hoga ki Miss ho jayega koi topic woh check kar Lena aur tu he hamesha yaad rahega
Sir CSE pyq book for both mains and pre gs paper
And for essay
Philosophy optional
Can you suggest me ??
Jagrati awasthi ki Lelo bohat achhi
Nope. Sorry sir. But i disagree.
It depends on individuals how and what are they able to grasp and retain.
