UPSC Civil Services Exam is one of the most prestigious exams in the country. It has three parts, the Prelims exam, the Main exam and the Personality test, which you need to clear in order to become an IAS or IPS officer. All other Group A services of the Government of India recruit people through the UPSC Civil services exam itself and because of this, there is a lot of competition in this exam. Hence, your UPSC preparation should be strategic, informed and well planned.
Your UPSC preparation should not be based on blind adherence to any program. Rather you should give a thought about how your are preparing. The best way to go forward is to study the blogs and tips given by previous year toppers about how to go about UPSC CSE for all three stages of UPSC Prelims, UPSC Mains and the Personality test also known as the UPSC Interview, and then make your UPSC preparation strategy accordingly.
Doing static subjects like polity, economy, environment, geography and history for your UPSC preparation is a solid bet to increase your chances of clearing this exam. But this must all be supplemented by current affairs for best effect.

    1. Nobody cares how much you studied until you get results
    2. Focus on what you can control (game ko khelna sikho, game nahi badlega)
    3. Planning is good, acting on the plan is better
    4. Most things you do are procrastination in disguise
    5. People who clear it aren't smarter than you but much more disciplined
    6. Those who succeeded had the same problems
    7. Unfocused? Fix it
    8. Nobody thinks about you as much as you do
    9. Success in upsc comes from doing the same boring things over and over again
    10. You already know what you need
    11. Don't fear uncertainty

This video couldn't have come at a better time. Today is a dark day for me. I did not clear pre this time. I gave one year to prep. And I want to appear next time as well. I want to work harder. But my parents today started looking around for guys to get me married. I am devastated. I feel as if everything is falling apart. Thanks for reminding me that life will always be unfair. No matter who it is, close ones or anyone, people's support will always be limited. Our own mind should be strong enough to face every difficulty. I will not conform, I will persevere.

I know my comment won't change the reality. But try (fight as hard as you can) and convince them you don't wanna get married rn. Marriage is a huge huge commitment, esp in India where marriage= having kids.
Study double, try to get a job, become financially independent, do whatever it takes but don't get married unless you are absolutely ready to. This is something I relate to very strongly despite being a guy, and the harsh reality is , it is what it is, that's how it is in India. Best of luck, hope your parents are rational about this.
P.S. I don't understand the concept of arranged marriage, it's basically like forcing your daughter to have physical relations with a complete stranger. Literally.
Mai khud itni bhavnao me beh Gaya 😂😂 coz the girl I love is about to get married next year and idk where my upsc preparation will take me. If I clear this mains maybe I have a chance, if I don't then khatam tata bye bye. And I'm only 25, I think it's such a young age to get married and have the responsibility of a family.

Or vese ladke bhi km nahi hein aajkal jb job mil jati hai to unhe shadi bhi job wali ladki se hi karni hoti hai ya fir dowry chaiye kyonki ak ki job se to aajkal ghar chalne se rha. Simple, job less bt educated ladkiyon ki to kadar hi nahi hai. Bhago fir aisi ladkiyon k piche jo tumhe " chakkarghinni " bnakar rakhti hein.all the best.😁miyan pyar karna aasan hai nibhana bahut mushkil.

I very strongly believe that luck plays a huge role in UPSC preparation. Since the syllabus is infinite, you HAVE to get lucky to get the same questions which you studied/ or not get easy standard questions correct due to minor slip ups. This applies to prelims as well as mains and the most in optional. The exam isn't entirely based on your skillset (as compared to an exam like IIT-JEE per say).
I'm saying this coz I know for a fact I got lucky this prelims, I didn't deserve to clear the exam with so many silly mistakes yet somehow I did. I got 2 difficult questions correct coz I glanced over that topic the very morning of the exam (luck factor).
Fortune favours the brave in proverbs, IRL anyone can get lucky/unlucky. Getting to top 75 ranks to become IAS is absolutely insane.

Luck plays a role at every stage of this exam.
But you wouldn't have gotten those 2 difficult questions right if you didn't have the notes / material to glance over. Definitely not if you hadn't studied them at all in the first place.
Paraphrasing Thomas Jefferson: the harder you work, the luckier you get.

    Prelims clearance is just about luck in present scenario. Jinko notes making bhi teacher se puchke karni hoti hai, jinhone kbhi ans.writing k bare mein kbhi socha tak nahi vo log clear kr liye yrrr...."वो कहते हैं ना कि मशहूर हुए वो जो कभी काबिल ना थे,और तो और मंजिल भी उनको मिली जो कभी दौड़ में शामिल ना थे।"

Luck has a role to some extent but not more that 5 percent we all have attached so much emotions to this examination that we over analyze a question in prelims and make it wrong argentina worst economic crisis I made it wrong despite knowing argentina has an economic crisis by over analyzing worst this is just one example there are plenty of such existing secondly we get stuck in coaching institutes trap free mentor ship ye trick wo trick ye notes wo notes ye research wo editorial what the hell.prepare for this examimation like you used to prepare for your class 12th iit neet examination in that same manner.Instead of tests do pyqs instead of pt 365 do india year book content enrichment for mains (go through india year book) its is a one stop solution along with pyqs for mains its fully rich in content open it and see open and see the way upsc repeats pyqs observe and see how much time do we waste watching youtube videos chaning strategy day by day lets become our own mentor for a single attempt and then see where you land up .give 3 attempts without backup take a backup and then give the next 3 .Do not overhype this exam the more emotions you attach the more over analysis you do snd you fail prelims again .
