A practical routine is much more productive than an ideal one... 👍But sometimes both coincide

I have almost overcome all my distractions and reduced my social media time to less than an hour. Being a college student I study for around 8 hours on Saturday and Sunday and around 4-5 hours on week days. I can proudly say I have been quite consistent on this☀️

Hi sir I just needed a complete study plan for 2025 lot of students are misguiding it i have seen your previous video we just needed an elaboration with that including covering the csat and optionals and preparing for language papers.
More of an ideal one than productive. Also it is not possible for a college student to give 9 hours a day to just study. Plus you forgot about reading newspaper which takes at least 2 hours. In my opinion, a realistic routine will help more rather than what the society thinks is an ideal one for UPSC students.

News paper reading slowly reduces to 45mins once you start and have practice
I used to think same when I was just starting the preparation. Believe me, this will change. Your newspaper reading time will reduce. 9 hours will feel very easy, once you start. Just start with whatever you have. And slowly you will nail all this with ease.

@Manuj Jindal IAS sir, I am working in a private company and get only Saturday and Sunday if I need to follow the schedule as you have explained. I reach home between 8:30 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. every weekday. Can I continue reading of topics and make notes whenever I get time during weekdays?
Sir if we take a small nap in between 2:30-3:30pm,won't it affect us during the exam?bcoZ CSAT is also at that time of the day only,in mains also we need to write exam from 2--5pm,so if we take a nap in between that time daily,won't we get sleep in exam at that time?or our brain efficiency may decrease while writing exam,since our mind got addicted for a nap at this time?pls do reply sir

When to start with csat ...for 2025 attempt
I made 100 time tables but unable to be consistent on that I studied if 1 hr left from the time table felt anxiety and sad 😢 how to maintain consistency 😔
Wake up nd 3 hours ... make it gold.
Taake half an hour or 45 mins break then sit for another 3 hours.
By this u already hv done 6 hours take an hour break and then go for other 3 hours . Now at last give 2 hours for planning tomoro and revising what u did today also revise and get pictures sp to relate them .. go for walk or chill etc etc.

My daily routine -
1. Wake up at 5 AM, drink warm water & relax. At 5:15, I go on my terrace & do meditation & yoga till 5:45 & 10 minutes walk.
2. From 6-9 I study nonstop, & I study the subject which is more rewarding & require optimum level of focus bcs i believe in "Eat the frog first".
3. 9 to 10, freshen up, a light breakfast then again study from 10 to 1.
4. From 1 to 1:30 I hv my lunch & from 1:30 to 2:15, I take rest or nap
5. Back to study at 2:30 till 5 p.m
6. From 5 to 6 I go for a long walk (2-3 km),
7. Back to study at 6:30 till 9 (subject which require less focus or the subject which I supremely strong at.)
8. From 9 to 9:30 dinner then after 5-10 minutes of walk then I go on my bed with a book (not related to UPSC), bcs I love reading non fictional books specially which are based on International relations, internal security & spirituality & about 10:30 I get to sleep. This is my daily routine sir & I hardly miss it. As far as phone is concerned, I don't use it at all bcs there is nothing in my phone to use. I stopped using Facebook in 2019, I never used Instagram in my life, i stopped using Twitter in 2022. So there is nothing to use in my phone. Today is Sunday that's why I watch some guidance related or study related videos other wise i hardly use my phone infact 22 out 24 hours my phone is on flight mode.
The passive study you were talking about, is the hardest thing for me, I try to do it but it's quite tough for me.

@@smitavishg just look at some pyqs. Once you see a question you cannot answer, you will be forced to look it up online. And then from there you can extrapolate that energy to study at least for an hour or two.

I think a small amount of exercise/gym/sports for 1-1.5 hrs where you don't think about anything related to the study materials would be beneficial, as it resets your mind and prepares you for the next day. Also It makes you less exhausting

I don’t like the idea people make preparations of any exam sooo Imaginary.. it’s not practical.. you can do it max to max for 3-4 days after that you’ll be drained..
Sir i started preparing from jan 1 and continue till 5 jan but 6&7 i didn't give my best focus like those 5 days how to stay consistent sir bcz there are so many people who is telling me that i can't able to crack this exam,i should go for masters etc and after hearing this my parents also told me like this😢
