I’ve had my Maverick eight months now it’s an XLT hybrid no extra markup because I waited for this truck 10 months and the dealer honored everything that we spoke about ….. I paid 32,500 out the door including an extended warranty, platinum, bumper-to-bumper
It's cool how you looked at your watch after almost every take. I was thinking "Ok,..that's a different kind of transition that I have never seen anybody do"
Since Ford has deployed project for „small truck „ I became fan for it . Market needs different options to choose what is personally good for You.I believe Ford has gave opportunity for it. So , now I searching opportunities to buy , but definitely will go for 2.5 hybrid option , with XL trim or XLT depends of load . Very good presentation, clear and open . Thank You .
I bought a 2022 Ford Maverick hybrid I waited 7 months for it I absolutely love it it has 42000 miles I'm developing a shimmy at high speeds I believe it is a CV axle There have been a lot of recalls I bought the extra coverage because it is the first year truck no regrets I love it I'm going to buy another one
If I buy one and I’m considering it, I would order it as an XL, 2.0EB, AWD and 4k tow package for the upgraded cooling package. It would ultimately be more reliable and less costly to maintain than the hybrid.
Your build is nearly identical to my own. Except I chose the XLT trim level without the “luxury” add-on. I ordered it in July 2023 and I’m very excited to be picking it up tomorrow.
I looooove the look from the Ford Maverick. My family is all about Toyota vehicles, they can’t stop praising how reliable Toyota’s are and I believe it. It’s just that this truck in particular is so nice looking because it looks simple, it looks kinda retro/classic, and the small size (the original size of truck) is just more practical than your midsize and full size trucks. This is gonna be a really tempting truck for me lol. And Ford is, from what I’ve heard, the most reliable of the American car manufacturers. I might have to betray Toyota haha.
Austin, thanks for this video! If I were to buy one, I would go for the XL trim with AWD and the 4k tow package. I personally really like the look and classic style of the steel wheels! Keep up to good work. :)
I ordered a 2024 XL Hybrid Atlas blue 14 months ago and just got it.....Sticker was 25,020 dollars...The only extra option I got was the Hybrid.....I'm very satisfied with the ride comfort and the way it sips fuel.....40 highway, 50s in town......
I went shopping for a few months and I ended up with a Red Ford Maverick 2023 XLT fully loaded Tremor. It’s just fantastic. High off the ground Great vision Square shape with lots of head room. AC very powerful Seats very comfortable Great for parking in Brooklyn Makes me feel safe. Cheap plastic is real great. Has bind spot monitors Heated seats Clear view out the back with no chicken window and tinted windows are not dark. The red is a orange red so looks very cool. Screen is small but ok. Music/sounds system is fine. Has full size spare tire Bed is not big but good enough for every day basic needs. It fun to drive even in Brooklyn. The only issue is I wish Ford bind spot and land keep’s would make sounds.😢 Also I wish you could put a extra front bumper.
Unless there's an exception for the fleet vehicles, there isn't a manual rear sliding window for the '24 model year. Just the power rear window on the Lariat.
Cut them some slack. The Maverick is the only thing Ford makes that folks want right now… Their other trucks are ridiculously high priced. The dealerships are close to folding. I went to a Ford Dealership in Temecula, and they promised sticker price for any truck Ordered direct from Ford thru them. I ordered like the second day they were taking orders. It took almost 6 months to get it, but I got exactly what I wanted. And I paid the sticker price. I have a friend who bought one off the lot and paid a markup, but the markup was only 2 grand, which made his truck 30k Still 15k cheaper than a comparable tacoma or ranger.
@@stevezilla68 I have a very similar configuration, less the moon roof. I was “lucky” to have my build delayed so much that they pushed me to 2023 and I got price-protected. Had they not done that, I likely would have cancelled even with the increases at the time.
My 17 F150 was Flawless not a single proton 95K and my 23 F150 seems to be on the same path! Both are lowly XL’s with 2.7 Ecoboost engines and pretty fast to, I’m fine with a recall and I have one, it happens to all the brands. But so far my 2 F150’s have been way more comfortable reliable and efficient compared to my 2002 Tacoma which rusted out and my 2015 Tacoma that chugged fuel worst shifter I ever drove and horrible comfort, was rusting in less than 2 years, but I did get a great trade in on my 2017 F150, in 10 years I’ll be 71 if God allows that for me, I’ll probably buy a Maverick m, easy to get in and out of.
I love my Maverick (which I bought just this week), but have to laugh: it's designated as a "small" truck, but I have to mount a step stool to clean the windshield ... and I'm 6'0".
ty for sharing, over all kool truck I mainly buy the more base models for work or around town beating and I get cost saving + lowering your expectations for price point but common 2024 and manually adjusted mirrors, 🤣 that's just a new ford low ... Kool truck but at certain price points certain things in 2024 should be standard.
Crazy thing about the manual mirrors; I would expect them at least to have a little joystick inside the door pillar with linkage to manually adjust the mirror like on older vehicles but no, you actually have to lower the window and push on the mirror glass with your fingers! Considering my car is a base model and it has cruise control and intermittent wipers the mirror lack of features is pretty weird.
Ford has to many recalls right now that means quality is not going out the door anymore Ford needs to get there shit together and build a quality trucks and cars
The Ford Maverick is rated as one of the most reliable affordable cars, and one of the most reliable trucks on sale. It's more reliable than a 50k Tacoma or 90k tundra. I might need to get software updates, but at least my engine isn't blowing up.
For $25k? Yes, a good value. Good luck getting it at that price however. Dealerships froth at the mouth to offer "VIP perks" or dumb BS to pump that price right into the low 30s. Unless you're placing an order and waiting a year or more, good luck finding an XL hybrid at that price and a dealer that isn't trying to rip you off. If you get below $30k, go for it. If it's above, walk away. Speaking from experience, I should have negotiated harder. They'll keep ripping us all off if we keep buying XLS above msrp. Don't let them tell you it's a union strike problem or a supply chain problem. It's a "let's give the CEO a 30% YoY pay bump and ship all manufacturing to Mexico" problem. Let's not forget the 5+ recalls on the 22' and 23's. Safe bet is to only look at 24's, and even then, with a healthy does of realism. This isn't a $25k truck, it's a $30k truck minimum after taxes, add ons etc. The $19k era is long gone, and good luck with interest rates. Anything below 8% with good/great credit is standard. Go in PREPARED.
The great news is here in South Louisiana. Especially at Terrebonne Ford and we don’t do any sort of add-ons or packages or market adjustments. It’s just the MSRP plus TT&L.
Trucks are for having room for stuff more so than room for 4-5 people. If you have more of a need for room for a family rather than for stuff, I get it. But a 4-4.5' bed? Great gas mileage is a plus. But I have no use for a 4.5' bed. That's a hatchless hatchback. Or a suv with open air rear storage. Or better yet, call it a small bedded sedan. That being said, I'd buy a Maverick if they had a small cab 6' bed option.
Exactly! This thing is like an ute, which is big in Australia and I imagine if ute-styled vehicles were released in the US they would also be popular but its use case is distinct from a truck imo. I was also on the fence with a maverick, I was saying just that for about a year or so "If only they came with a six-foot bed!". Ended up going with an access cab tacoma with a 6ft bed instead.
Ranchero was more car than truck as far as looks. I feel like the maverick was the successor to the Ford Explorer Sport Trac which was the Explorer suv made into a truck the same as the maverick is an Escape/BroncoSport turned into a truck. Sure it doesn't have the body on frame but it is targeting the same audience.
No its not cheap! In West Virginia you could work 80 hours a week and still couldn't afford the cheap flatbed Toyota truck that they wont sell in America.
I'd lease one of these for a few years, ain't no way I'd buy one. That carbon buildup at the intake valves makes me nervous, only real way to clean it is to remove the head and walnut blast. I would not use a spray cleaner, you can lock up the engine. And finally you can add a catch can and that will definitely help but you'll just be delaying the inevitable. Most people that buy these things have no idea what they're getting into, they're not car people. They just see shiny and sign their life away.
That stuff is coming to an end on the Maverick. I bought mine off the lot at MSRP a month ago. In another two months or so Ford will be pretty much caught up with all the preorders and dealers will be getting stock orders.
I'm on my second one, bought the 23 XLT Hybrid, then traded it for a 24 Lariat Hybrid and my son also bought a XL Hybrid. They are awesome.
I bought one. 2.0L ,XL. I have been pleased with my purchase. It's the light gray color.
I bought a 2024 with 8 miles on it. Brand new. No problems. Drives and runs great. 2.0L non-hybrid. All gas.
My son just bought the 2024 XLT Hybrid a couple days ago, and he loves it.
I'm thinking to buy that too
I’ve had my Maverick eight months now it’s an XLT hybrid no extra markup because I waited for this truck 10 months and the dealer honored everything that we spoke about ….. I paid 32,500 out the door including an extended warranty, platinum, bumper-to-bumper

I bought the XL 2.0 all wheel drive we love it. If had a choice would buy it again
Thanks for commenting 🫠
I have the exact model in a hybrid ( minus tow ) in a 2023...I paid for a ceramic coat to pop and permanently shine the Oxford White. I get 47 MPG.
That’s awesome fuel economy
Wow, excellent MPG. EPA messed up when they rated it at 33 highway.

Subaru Outback Onyx XT.
Ford needs to get the quality up - they have the highest recall rate in the United States.
Meh- I have had one since they first went on sale. Every recall has been for something truly minor. And not unusual for an entirely new platform.
Have a 23 ecoboost XL with a fullsize spare in area 51 paid MSRP of $23,500
I've ordered a white XL hybrid 2024 but still waiting for it.
Do you have somewhere to be? You keep checking your watch.
It’s how I’m controlling the camera…lol

Nice trucks. They are changing whatbsome folks want. I.e. Senior retired men.
mexico is part of America they have some cheap truck there, ram 700, CHEVROLET
MONTANA...

Hope to pick up my 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid from my dealer tomorrow. That will be 272 days from order to owning.
I'd buy one if Ford didn't rip off the customer with ridiculous pricing.
Cut them some slack. The Maverick is the only thing Ford makes that folks want right now… Their other trucks are ridiculously high priced. The dealerships are close to folding. I’ve owned an XLT hybrid for about a year… most practical vehicle you can buy today IMO. Too bad the price has gone up so much recently…
For sure. I paid $29k for a 2023 hybrid XLT with moon roof, BAP, and a hitch. Same configuration on a 2024 costs $35k
@@stevezilla68 I have a very similar configuration, less the moon roof. I was “lucky” to have my build delayed so much that they pushed me to 2023 and I got price-protected. Had they not done that, I likely would have cancelled even with the increases at the time.

With the tailgate down she is 6 1/2 feet. Every foot counts on this little truck 👍
I’d buy one.
I would buy the Lariat
Thanks for commenting. Me too
I love my Maverick (which I bought just this week), but have to laugh: it's designated as a "small" truck, but I have to mount a step stool to clean the windshield ... and I'm 6'0".
austin why do you keep looking at your watch-got something better to do?
It my view finder and how I control the camera
Nice job but only comes with a 4.5 foot bed , it won't work for me .
They’re literally all over 40k at my local dealerships for XLT’s. Like what
I’ll ship you one at or below MSRP if you want
My dealership has one for 8k markup before all the extras they get you with .good ol pinstriping and vin eching ! carmax for the win!
What region do you live in?
Its the re-rise of the mini truck

Nice little truck but I'll stick with my F150 XL
"Truck" in name only. It's actually a small suv/crossover with a small bed. Small trucks actually don't exist anymore!
"Destination Charge" == rip off
Why?
little tiny truck
my dude the maverick is the same size as early 2000's F-150's
Different for sure
So that’s not the cheapest truck. So you are lying. Got it.

my son bought one. now he’s not my son he’s my daughter 😳
Cheap for a reason. One of the BIGGEST pieces of junk Ford has ever made.
Why’s that??
Sadly this guy forgot about the 10k market adjustment scam this dealer will probably end up doing. Its bs
