    Really true
    The thing that you said aborto the box, if they can't solve the puzzle the movie ends. Haha

    I love this film because it's a perfect example of the journey of storytelling and how to use the tools and techniques of the artform to your advantage. The whodunit isn't the point. We know everything we need to know, just like in Knives Out, early on, and it's about getting us from A to B. That's the fun of the story. It's all in the presentation. That's as true to art as it can get without going full avant garde.

      I see what you mean!! I think it is (regarding a lot in life) that we are looking for different things in story and experience watching a movie or game. And that is the good thing, that we all see and appreciate it differently! I had a hard time figure it out in Knives out hahah, so for me regarding that, these movies were the opposite. Hopefully we will see a third movie that's a mix of knives out and glass onion, could be a nice combo!

      @Lirtzie Absolutely, that's art, it connects with us on varying levels, or not at all. That's just how it is. I'm definitely excited to see what Rian has in store next.

    I love how you said it made no sense that Miles would show them how to deactivate the security on the Mona Lisa, but I see it as another example of how dumb and full of hubris he is.

    The biggest flaw is that there is no way that Duke could have gotten a handgun past Greek customs, which puts a big crimp in the rest of the story.

      That always bugged me, too. I enjoyed the movie, so I let it slide, but I'm surprised more people don't comment on this.

      @@anthonyleecollins9319 A relatively easy fix would have been to have it be an island in the Florida keys rather than a Greek island. That would also eliminate the problem of international travel during the (Mexican Beer) lockdown.

      File under: Things Nobody Else Really Gives a Shit About.
      The script called for there to be a gun. They could have written a convoluted explanation of how it worked out that he got a gun there - or - they could have gone "This isn't really that important, he gets a gun on the island somehow, now move on with the story".

      Aaaah interesting input J!! I didn't even think of that 🤯 It is sure a detail they could have done differently!!

    • @Lirtzie
      @Lirtzie  Год назад

      They could have written it differently, I mean it could have been another item they could have used. That solves the problems with the customs and could have made it more interesting

    Hi Miss Lirtzie, great to see you!🙂It seems like a long time since your last movie reaction, but it has not. I guess that's the sign of a great reactor!🏆I did not notice Miles had the phone in his back pocket. I did notice on a second viewing that Blanc calls Andi by her real name Helen on the stairs before she is shot. I think you are probably smarter than the average viewer and figured out the mystery much sooner the most.

    • @AgentOccam
      @AgentOccam Год назад

      More observant perhaps - I didn't notice the handgun either. I don't really agree with most of her other criticisms, other than it is a bit more predicable. But this reactor is one of two or three who *thought* it was Miles, and then suddenly *knew* it was Miles all along. Convenient!

      Thanks Mike! I think we just notice different things in general 😊 and I am sure not smarter than anyone else watching it!! Hope you liked the movie and the reaction 🌼

      Hmmm I don't understand the convenient input Stephen? Should we change our minds when we got it confirmed that it was Miles, or I don't understand

    I really enjoyed this movie, except the last 10 minutes starting with that rampage. That was too much i guess. But Daniel Craig is really entertaining in this role. He's totally overacting this character, but it's intentional of course, and that really fits to him too (he's not like a Ben Stiller haha). And i love his accent also.
    I laughed so hard how you were annoyed by that random guy who appeared a couple of times without any reason :D If i know it correctly he's a friend of Rian Johnson, and that dude has a cameo in every movie created by him.
    8:58 just another little fun fact: That "bong" sound is Joseff Gordon Lewitt's voice. His also a good friend of Rian Johnson, i think that's why he got this little cameo in the movie (he had a cameo also in the first Knives out though).
    (Unfortunately) you're too smart and you figured out too early what the hell is going on and you ruined the surprise for yourself. :D I wasn't that smart when i watched it the first time, but i wouldn't say i was really surprised.
    And honestly i also liked the first movie more than this one.
    This was a really funny and intertaining reaction from detective Lirtzie :D

      Happy you liked the movie Jansoo!! Yeah the ending was different for sure 😅 I do like him a lot too! Overall they did a good job all of them. Omg Ben stiller, don't get me started...
      Hahaha yeah he was so unecessary jesus. They could have done his cameo waaaay more interesting and funny!
      WHAT?? that was Gordon's voice!! I really like him so that was a nice easter egg for sure. I could never have guessed that.
      Naaah I think we just paying attention to different things 😊
      Right! i liked it a lot more also.
      Thank you so much Janso!! 🥳

    It was the same person who wrote the jokes, so I guess you didn't predict that! But seriously, it was Rian Johnson who wrote both scripts (and directed both movies).
    Being able to work stuff out isn't necessarily a bad sign. It shows that they're not cheating. It *can* be worked out; you just have to pay attention to the right clues.
    Noah Segan playing the random dude was an in-joke. He played Trooper Wagner in Knives Out and has been in every one of Johnson's films. I don't blame you for not finding it funny, but boy did you overreact. He was in it for about 10 seconds in total. You literally spent more time talking about him appearing in the film in your reaction video than the time he appeared in the actual movie.

    • @Lirtzie
      @Lirtzie  Год назад +2

      You clearly didn't like the reaction Stephen or my opinions about it ahahah. Everyone can have different opitions and you are allowed to like the movie and I am allowed to not like it. For me, I don't like movies to be predictable. Is has nothing to do with cheating imo. It has to do with being inventive. And yes, doing a whole movie without being predictable once, no that is not what I expect. But it can reach a point when it get's too obvious.
      You know I am happy I did! He bothered me and I wanted to react to that, that's how it is in reaction videos ✨

      @@Lirtzie I didn't mind the relatively negative reaction, just disagreed with some of the reasons.
      *SPOILERS* for KNIVES OUT>
      Predictability is a funny thing. I saw some people claim to have deduced the murderer in Knives Out from the trailer. I'm skeptical of this claim, but their claim they knew it was Ransom from the dog clue was plausible. Some people (like me) saw that and went "classic red herring, no way it's him". Johnson sold me on the notion that Ransom didn't like his family and wasn't a good person, but wasn't the actual murderer and was genuinely (for selfish reasons) trying to help Marta.
      In Glass Onion, his attempt to distract from the otherwise obvious murderer didn't work so well. Unlike you I liked the first act and the fact Onion had a massively different structure than Knives. I liked the second act too. The third was a little bit of a let down, but I was still entertained.
      My point about predictability is that the writer has to accept that a certain portion of any given audience will guess the killer from their clues if they write it "fairly" (i.e. it is reasonably possible, albeit difficult, to detect the killer). Some made a connection with the clues on Ransom in Knives, some didn't. Some made a connection with the clues and Miles in Onion, some didn't.
