Thank you so much I have just made my second batch and it's beautiful too I can't thank you enough how much you have helped me to make peanut brittle I have tried so long and so hard to make it and I greatly appreciate you take care I'll see you in the next video
I made your recipe today. Wondering what wattage is your microwave? Not knowing your wattage, I followed your instructions to adjust my microwave to 70 percent. When I got done, it was so pretty just the right color. I let it cool for 45 minutes, I lifted it up to break it up and it only bend and began to fold on its self. My 1000 watt microwave should not have been adjusted down. So maybe you could add the wattage power of your microwave to the instructions it will help to achieve the desired results of non tooth breaking. I was really excited to get those results, as it looked so good and tasty! Please know that I am not disputing your recipe just my lack of information on reducing the power level on my end. Thanks for the recipe and how you presented it with a smile in your voice. 😀
I apologize for just now responding. I have been very ill with the you-know-what virus. I believe that I listed the wattage and spoke about the wattage in the video, my microwave is 1000 watt. It is a Panasonic if that helps. You adjust the percentage only on that last minute, not the whole time. I am sorry for any misunderstanding. Every microwave is like peoples ovens, they are not all of the same. When I fist bought this microwave several years back, it took me several times to get the brittle among other recipes "right" Once you have the times that are right for your microwave, write them down. That is what I do. LOL I sure hope that you will give it another try, it is truly a good recipe. Let me know if I can help you! I will respond, I am very slow still right now. :D
I do a double batch so it goes in the first time for 8 minutes double sugar and corn syrup. I stir it it goes back in for eight more minutes and I bring it out I add the peanuts the butter and vanilla and stir until it's melted and it goes back in for 3 min and I'm going to stir it uputes and it's done and it will fill an entire half sheet tray instead of staying in the middle and not spreading out well.
The easiest way to get it nice and thin is to pour it out put a piece of parchment paper over it and grab a rolling pin and roll it out quickly and then pull apart from the paper off. Mine runs at 100%, the whole way through.

I have always used lightly salted cocktail peanuts because dry roast peanuts have garlic and onion on them.

It looks more like honeycomb than a hard toffee peanut brittle which is nice.
My microwave is identical to yours!

What is the power of your microwave?
PS I always have all of the recipes and directions in the description below the video.
I’m a little confused
Those little broken pieces are testers.
LOL You bet! Those tasty little pieces never happened! They disappeared! :D
