A mile from my house is a very old cemetery in the woods and on one of the tombstones it actually is inscribed with the mans date of birth, the date he died and under that it says A Minuteman. Really cool. Rehoboth Ma. The soldiers name was Joshua Pierce who died on Nov 25, 1801 at aged 19 years and 8 months.i have just uploaded a video of the gravesites of 2 patriots, check it out at on my channel, @UNoBugMe1.
That is cool, I am from WV, and when we visit the cemetery's, I also like seeing the ones from the civil war, and that era, it really makes you think. All the good and brave people seem to have long passed, Americans have become soft over the years.
There is Cemetery in Hometown Pa. Near Mahanoy City which is almost a ghost town now days. On a mountain side that is all grown up about the year 1993 I was working and working to work and finally deer season came. It's been my peeve to do my taxes while hunting and I also take a book along which means I am a ground hunter. I always find a nice low spot and settle in before sun up and stay there all day. The method usually works 4 me. But that year my usual spot the land changed hands so I had to find new spot which was this hard hill. I took pot luck searching and found this mountain hill side and faint trail that led up to the top. Only after discovering I was in the friggin middle of one ancient cemetery I then went a little ways to settle in a low spot on the tree line overlooking the place and as the sun came up it was a really warm clear day not like deer seasons of the past anyway I could now actually see the remnants of what had one big church down in the valley. Next thing I know I fell asleep. When I woke up I felt a presence so I stood up seeing this old guy that looked like Jesse Duke in his blue bib overhauls and huge white beard I said hello to him. He asked if I knew where I was at. And I just looked at him. I said there abouts it's Hometown right. He shook his no and said no the spot you are on I thought you were a grave robber lucky you were asleep he told me your obviously a working man I seen the tax forms and note book you got. I said I'm sorry if I'm on your property really I said. He said no you are on gods property hallowed ground he said walking 5 feet in front of me he brushed away some weeds from a ground stone and I mean one ancient stone held a picture of a marching drummer. He said you're 5 feet from the little drummer boy. Thee drummer boy he said to me. He told me that in the 1970's he and Calvin Yates had gotten hired to stop grave robbers here it had become rampant because most of the soldiers were buried with guns and gear here. He said he used to have a John Deere tractor to cut the cemetery but he said he was losing the ability to use his shoulders. When this guy turned around to leave he had an old black powder Army Colt 45 on his hip. The back of his belt had 149th regiment on it and I yelled knowing the 149th was the Pennsylvania Buck Tails. I joined the Buck Tails shooters guild here in Pa. when I was 13 years old. This old man was stunned at my revelation I belonged to his charter. He then introduced himself Clay Nonnamacher. When I researched this thee Clay Nonnamacher actually died at the battle of Gettysburg. I am only assuming this was possibly a grandson of his. There is little if any written history on this cemetery and the church. It's not far from Locust Lake area of the Tuscarora State Park. My other hunting spot was only about 3-4 miles from the lake and cemetery area. When you look down off that hillside on a really clear day in the valley you can see remnants of what was once a town. I have no clue what town it actually is. Only the old timers in that area know shit. Mostly everyone there now is from someplace else far away. For years I had planned on doing a video but life & work keeps getting in the way of it...
@alan wake I think what would be more effective would be the proficient people that passed Reid's course to go out and teach others in places where Reid can't be.
@alan wake I mean no disrespect. If we as a people had trained better, He shouldn't have to give out his services for free. The term Minuteman is to be able to get ready for conflict in a minute.
@@arena_rock_man9030 I know I would like to travel to Reid's class but I live in Texas and work all the time and I don't get vacation days so if I don't work I don't get paid.
wake disagree. I've looked into the cost of procuring the land, landscaping, building, licensing, insurance, marketing, staff, webpage, phone# etc etc it would take to open a commercial rifle range and I speculate Reid still has a decade or so at least before the millions of dollars in loans are paid off. And technically- Reid is providing free "training" materials in these videos
What I would add to this is training in utilizing and firing from cover, and recognizing cover vs. concealment. A lot of people have no realistic idea of what things will stop bullets, and it could cost them dearly.
For those who haven’t been to Valor Ridge, get Reid’s book Pistolcraft. Fantastic info for gaining the proficiency he mentions here, albeit for pistol. The book has drills to gauge yourself, but the structured dry fire drills have been particularly helpful for me.
Ever since listening to one of your lectures years ago at, let's say 'Jame's place', I've been a study of yours. Your history lessons are of the up most accurate, and no holds barred. If Maryland had an electoral college type of voting system those of us in the rural counties might stand a chance to have our voices heard. Alas, as things stand, the populous counties next to D.C. and Annapolis get to direct the rest of the state. Ugh.
If at all possible leave Maryland asap . I did, and it was the best decision I ever made . Took me 37 years to leave Montgomery County for Dixie but, I did it . No regrets .

@Rick Christopher I use old cans soda can stuff like that and I can tell when I hit them because I could either fly up in the air or if they scoot across the ground I shoot him as the moving across the ground tons of fun
Something I always hear from people talking about these situations is get your bullets and guns. But something everyone is leaving out is food and water. If something does go down 6-8-12-24 hours In, if you don’t have food and water and a resupply, you’re not going to last long. Also some form of hiking stove and fuel for said stove. Got a trauma kit? A tourniquet? Maybe 2. Time to get it. Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
My Patriot 1 year dry food supply is a good start. Things that you will also need in your quiver: Water Purification tablets [so u can drink water from almost any source without getting sick], seeds to grow veggies when u can, MedKit AND a Trauma Kit, Antibiotics[I use fish ABs in the liquid form [u can get it at almost any pet store, couple GOOD knives, flint and steel and lighters, tools [at least a multi-tool, tarp, obviously a great set of boots and plenty of socks along with a warm jacket, ... Firearms: AR platform[ I have both 15&10. Bolt Action rife [large caliber] I use .338LM 2 pistols, I use Three, 2 smaller calibers 9mm and 5.7 and 454 Kasul. Ammo: No less than 1000 rds of every caliber. I would suggest that you also reload all your ammo, so having propellant, Primers and bullets is a good idea. A suppressor[ I have 2, both by Silencerco] the Omega works for AR 15,10,300,ect and with the ASR mounting system, u can just switch from one platform to another and only need one. My second is for the big bore 338LM...being quiet is very important for hunting as well as concealability. Extra firing pin and spring for each platform. Cleaning kit and gun repair kit. There are other smaller things like toothbrushes and campers pot and utensils and stuff. I have been putting this stuff away for 5 years now... Better to have it and not need it Than to need and not have. Oh yeah, if you can manage it..a reliable 4 Wheel Drive vehicle and if u can afford a razor with a trailer, those 2 items come in VERY handy, especially the razor so when u are hunting alone and u field dress and animal, it's far easier to bring it back to your base of operations.
the writings of Tench Coxe were more direct. In his third “Pennsylvanian” essay he wrote as follows: (Capitalization and italics are his.) The power of the sword, say the minority of Pennsylvania, is in the hands of Congress. My friends and countrymen, it is not so, for THE POWERS OF THE SWORD ARE IN THE HANDS OF THE YEOMANRY OF AMERICA FROM SIXTEEN TO SIXTY. The militia of these free commonwealths, entitled and accustomed to their arms, when compared with any possible army, must be tremendous and irresistible. Who are the militia? are they not ourselves. Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man against his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American. What clause in the state or federal constitution hath given away that important right . . . . The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.” i2i.org/more-news-on-the-constitutions-ratification-the-meaning-of-militia-in-the-second-amendment/
There are already militias all over the country. There is even a California state militia. The problem is that these militias train in conventional tactics, which won't be very effective against the US military. Asymmetrical warfare is an ugly business though and can get your group labeled as domestic terrorists.

I think a great starting place for common folk is attending an Appleseed event and eventually achieving a Rifleman's score with a centerfire rifle. That's a fairly good standard imho
I bought Pistolcraft last year, it's a fantastic well rounded and common sense book. I shared it with my buddy too, he's a pistol instructor at the county sheriff's office.
Fyi- although I live in FL, I emailed gov. northam and to him: come hell or high water, I will do everything possible to ensure his gun confiscation efforts fail.
What scares me is I think a lot of semi-noble LEO’s who would normally not violate someones rights will be put in the position- by their own administration to either do their job (violate people’s God given rights) or lose their jobs. And those cops are going to be thinking about providing for their families and what happens if they get fired. The unions are in bed with the administration, so they won’t help. If you think for one second the government won’t play dirty and tell the cops to think about their families if they lose their job, you’re mistaken. Also, look at Katrina and how many cops took guns from law abiding citizens while conducting welfare checks with swat teams. They went into peoples homes took their guns at gunpoint and left them defenseless... Sorry Reid, I disagree, I think when push really comes to shove cops and sheriffs will fold and break the constitution. Just my opinion.
Rick Christopher true. I’m certainly not saying all leo’s will be like that, but I worry about even the good ones weighing feeding their family or standing for what’s right. Unfortunately that’s the choice they’ll have to make, and it’s one no one in America should ever have to make.
"Should the need arise"..... Yes, the need to have a group now is real. Hopefully and playfully we will never need one. Even in peace, when natural disasters happen they are needed to stop looting.

Really the points simple one goal no rogue operations. Its lawful so at the same time need to not be angry emotionally. Its about national security. No different American flag is our symbol
Large known militias will not be as effective as small ones that no one knows about until they are needed. It's harder to stop an opponent that you never knew existed.
M Via their tactics will never work against a vastly superior foe. Except the American revolution, Vietnam, Afghanistan twice, and Iraq. Not to mention a ton of other conflicts. History shows that barely anyone has had the stomach to fight total war since basically wwII. Thank you for your service but history shows you are wrong. There have been a million papers written on it.
Thank you for mentioning the importance of communication. Especially in this modern era it will be greatly needed. Any future conflict even internal will also be fought in the commo, cyber realm.
Thanks Reid we live in Virginia we are fighting this nonsense till the very end and we are winning. There is a petition out to impeach our black face governor.
Personally as a former soldier you need a militia with a minimum of 15 to 20 in your group. If you have a group of 3 to 5 you will be terminated by the opposition after your 1st encounter or you may have one survivor if you are lucky.
I don't know if that many is necessary but I would definitely think 10 would be a good minimum number. That provides for two fire teams that can manuever in the fight and utilize basic infantry tactics.
You should read about some of the little groups of fighters during Vietnam. They didn't train to sustain fights against a platoon of American soldiers. They trained to find soft Targets and create gradual casualties. Know your area well. Know how to get in and out. 2 knowledgeable individuals can jack shit up if they keep their role in realistic perspective.
@Zoomer Waffen indeed the cong did suffer major loss. Does not take away from the fact that there were some very successful little tiny groups that made it to the end. Same is going to be said for Afghanistan when we finally leave. We will leave and there will be little tiny groups that remain that have been fighting for a very long time.
Read more about the tactics of the IRA. They worked in small groups to battle the British Army and prevent infiltration. The Taliban also have good tactics that work. It's not about overcoming. It's about Guerilla tactics.
Pulling everything tight is essential now. Good post. Keep working on it. We're watching. ... Former HM during desert Storm. We're with you and watching.

I would of loved to see someone ask those "constitutional scholars" that were infront of congress what their interpretation of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED means... On second thought maybe not, I don't want to puke in disgust of their awnser.
@Rick Christopher agreed. There's hardly any true constitutionalists in government anywhere. When was the last time they passed a bill giving more power to the people or limiting their power we just get crap like the "patriot" act and more taxes. When was the last time their was a candidate you actually felt good voting for instead of feeling your choosing between shit or poop? I had a run in with LE a while back making a stink about cc I bring up the constitution he scoffs like its a joke and didn't want to hear it then chuckles while asking if im one of those "constitutional extreamists" whatever that means, like its bad to believe in or somthing. They operate like its already gone.
There's a few monuments built to my half Cherokee/English militia fighter family members who fought other Cherokee who were fighting on the side of King George as a proxy force. One of my militia family members was only 13 years old. Even if he was just packing muskets for his father while his father did the fighting, I could only imagine the horrors of war they seen at such a tender age. War is hell, and should be avoided. But sometimes it just has to be done.
Getting to know people based on shared principles, be it cultural, religious, political or whatever, is a great place to start. From there you can build trust which matters more than anything. One of the big concerns I'd have about showing up somewhere to fight alongside strangers is the competence of those strangers; if you get shot by accident, you still got shot.
Good advice Reid. However, one thing you didn't mention is that you need an actual PLACE to drill. Lots of folks have firearms. Some take formal training like the kind you provide. What most don't have is a place to practice those skills. Public gun ranges can't or won't allow the type of practice you need. For those in the middle TN area, I have that place. Just north of Nashville on I-65. Dead Possum Gun Club. Check us out on Facebook. And yes I know I hijacked a post to promote my gun club. You wanna train or not?
I own firearms, and I'm well trained with them. I'm not in my prime anymore. The question I have is what is the best option to seek medical training? I feel this is going to be a crucial skill if i form a local militia.
Thanks Reid, fantastic video, and a great subject. As someone who can't afford to go to your programs, I am thankful for the training ideas you put out in the videos.
That seems foolish on their part why not want people with experience? Prbly just young arrogant fools playing airsoft in the woods that would tuck tail and run when they hear the first bullet snapping around them. Like Reid said best to go with people you know and can trust who are dependable, train together so you can predict their actions/movements in different situations to a point when you communicate without yelling and becoming a bullet magnet. Rather than being with randoms who could be unpredictable fools that get themselves killed or straight panzys that break the state record in the 100m dash running away.
You know when you said it's the Indian not the arrow. I just thought of something that I said to some one else the other day. the Apache Indians they could shoot six arrows to one bullet .capacity off of a lever-action by a soldier that were attacking them.. not only that they shot the arrows upside down on a moving horse at a moving Target....
The U.S. Army did not use lever action rifles during the period of the Indian Wars. Single shot, breach loading Springfields were the arms of the day until the Spanish American War.
@@nullface_YT Fratricide is an accurate adjective of the left. If we look back at East Germany under communist rule, paranoia and suspicion of family and friends was quite common. We wouldn't be looking at 70-100 million people slaughtered by the Communists throughout history if it weren't a thing.

If anybody has noticed, this issue is not being talked about in the media neither the mainstream or any other media. And that has to stop. This needs to be screamed out at the top of our lungs to any and all that can hear it. America as a whole must be made aware of the situation in Virginia.

Wow!! Wish you had his name.

@@arena_rock_man9030 yes!
Th e rmal scopes , observation post, trip wires attached to flares...etc. There is so much more that can be done.

Have a good time fighting a tank....your kit is useless.

@@beardedobserver5947; when that gubberment tank runs over your ass you won't need a tourniquet. I have no use for anti-government Nazis.
Bolt Action rife [large caliber] I use .338LM
2 pistols, I use Three, 2 smaller calibers 9mm and 5.7 and 454 Kasul.
Better to have it and not need it
Than to need and not have.

In his third “Pennsylvanian” essay he wrote as follows: (Capitalization and italics are his.)
The power of the sword, say the minority of Pennsylvania, is in the hands of Congress. What clause in the state or federal constitution hath given away that important right . . . . The unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people.”

This is not the 18th century......the militias are nothing but rabble....poor frightened little ones-the gubberment is out to get you....
There are already militias all over the country. There is even a California state militia.
The problem is that these militias train in conventional tactics, which won't be very effective against the US military.
Asymmetrical warfare is an ugly business though and can get your group labeled as domestic terrorists.
CA state militia have slingshots and an ammo pouch holding limit.
War in general is ugly. Quite frankly, I don't care if we get ugly on people who do not respect our rights.

James Karl Most will absolutely
Rick Christopher true. I’m certainly not saying all leo’s will be like that, but I worry about even the good ones weighing feeding their family or standing for what’s right. Unfortunately that’s the choice they’ll have to make, and it’s one no one in America should ever have to make.

@@justus005 Yeah extended attrition warfare is a preferable approach for a guerilla force, especially if facing technologically superior forces.

I hope my Mauser can keep up!😆
A Mauser sure can! I been practicing!
6.5x55??? Amazing is understatement, if you ever get the chance to swoop one, better jump on it. Won’t regret it
Good advice Reid.
Some times your local fire department will offer medical classes for first responders. Look into it.
Thanks Reid, fantastic video, and a great subject. As someone who can't afford to go to your programs, I am thankful for the training ideas you put out in the videos.
contacted the Militia here in my area they told me they did not have any need for me, I am too old and they prefer not to have Veterans as members.
Very interesting
Are you sure these guys ARE Patriot militia and not some group of militant fringe group or something?
Prefer not to have veterans? Bizarre, I would steer clear.
It sounds like there were deeper issues they recognized....most groups are heavy with Veterans
Excellent video. I would agree a small group of people they know everything about each other is more effective than a large group
No they couldn't
And don't forget they were eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches while they were doing it too
It's the Comanche and not 6 to 1.
The U.S. Army did not use lever action rifles during the period of the Indian Wars. Single shot, breach loading Springfields were the arms of the day until the Spanish American War.
