This is good, but I feel like officials like the Police would forget what the militia stands for and what it’s all about. How do you make a militia when your local law enforcement hates the existence of a militia and sees it as a threat? Then what?

One thing most people are missing. The 3 percent fight. That means we need just as many supplying and supporting. I can fight. I would better serve by teaching others to build and use arms. I prefer the fight to teaching, but I am more useful as a teacher. Most are more useful providing cash, food, shelter, information, etc. Be what makes you most useful to the cause!

What do you do when there are State laws prohibiting paramilitary training by groups of civilians? I live in Montana and our Constitution says that the right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of their person and property, or defense of the civil power shall not be called into question. There is also a section which talks about the State militia being every person from the age of 18 to 45, but there's also a law forbidding civilians getting together for paramilitary training. Not sure what is meant by that.
@Jacob Howell a lot of people think that, but the United States Constitution is an agreement between the Federal Government and the States. It's not a rule of law for the individual State Governments, but only for the Federal Government and specifically defines the powers ceded to the General Government by the States. In other words the States are Sovereign and in reality hold more legal powers than the Federal Government. The Bill of Rights is a promise made by the Federal Government to the States that they will not disarm the State Militias. This is why every State has it's own Constitution and unless there is a declaration of rights within the Constitutions of each individual State that is equivalent to the Bill of Rights in the Federal Constitution, the States are not legally bound to protect the natural rights enshrined in the Constitution of the United States. We are not a single nation, but a federation of several Sovereign States. This is why we need to think locally and act locally. Pay attention to your State government more than what the Feds are doing. Read your State Constitution and know what your State and local laws are.

Hmm, interesting ideas. Living in a suburban neighborhood in a very diverse area, with most of my friends being Democrat’s (or if they’re Republicans they’re fudds) and only 3 gun owning friends, not able to own a gun myself for another year, creating a militia would be very difficult. But maybe some day. Or maybe I’ll get lucky and someone else will create it, but it may be me in the coming decade. Hopefully there isn’t a need for a militia just yet for us in Florida.

Thanks for all the support; believe me, I think it's complete hog-wash that Iowa has standing legislation banning militias. We do have many patriots who're essentially giving the middle finger (nods to FreedomFighter & Blackriflesmatter). Wish we had more active LEO in our ranks. Exactly!!!! While a fictional book written a decade and a half ago, I highly recommend "Enemies Foreign And Domestic", by Matthew Bracken. He describes a time in and around Virginia, eerily close to what is going on today, and pressure tactics used by Federales to cause people not even involved in militias to infiltrate and become rats. Thought provoking and a good read.
There's two ways to deal with infiltrators. First, extreme vetting done properly will disclose law enforcement officers before they ever step foot in the ranks. Second, don't break the law, and there's nothing to snitch about.

I would be very cautious about allowing law enforcement or politicians anywhere near your militia. Most militias are fairly secretive for good reason.

I am bothered by the fact that there were only 3 people of color there and that was including my self, we are all needed in this movement and I implore you to stand up and be seen and let us unite together in the voting booth, in Richmond speaking with our legislators and if need be in our Militia to fight against this tierany. We don't need more government interference we need less.
You said old people could join, I am in full agreement with that. I'm 68, can't run, can't fight, but I can purify water safe enough to drink. I'm a great trapper and forager and can put food on the table. I can tan hides and make clothing out of them. I can build perimeter alarms and I am a pretty good shot. Just can't run or fight with my fake knee and bad hip.
Us old folks have a lot of skills to bring to the table if this country was about to be overthrown. Everyone should want to have a part in saving the constitution and this great country if it were in jeopardy. But until then, I like my nice warm house.

What do you do when there are State laws prohibiting paramilitary training by groups of civilians? I live in Montana and our Constitution says that the right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of their person and property, or defense of the civil power shall not be called into question. There is also a section which talks about the State militia being every person from the age of 18 to 45, but there's also a law forbidding civilians getting together for paramilitary training. Not sure what is meant by that.

@Jacob Howell a lot of people think that, but the United States Constitution is an agreement between the Federal Government and the States. It's not a rule of law for the individual State Governments, but only for the Federal Government and specifically defines the powers ceded to the General Government by the States. In other words the States are Sovereign and in reality hold more legal powers than the Federal Government. The Bill of Rights is a promise made by the Federal Government to the States that they will not disarm the State Militias. This is why every State has it's own Constitution and unless there is a declaration of rights within the Constitutions of each individual State that is equivalent to the Bill of Rights in the Federal Constitution, the States are not legally bound to protect the natural rights enshrined in the Constitution of the United States.
We are not a single nation, but a federation of several Sovereign States. This is why we need to think locally and act locally. Pay attention to your State government more than what the Feds are doing. Read your State Constitution and know what your State and local laws are.
My concern is the states that have made militias illegal...

Hmm, interesting ideas. Living in a suburban neighborhood in a very diverse area, with most of my friends being Democrat’s (or if they’re Republicans they’re fudds) and only 3 gun owning friends, not able to own a gun myself for another year, creating a militia would be very difficult. But maybe some day. Or maybe I’ll get lucky and someone else will create it, but it may be me in the coming decade. Hopefully there isn’t a need for a militia just yet for us in Florida.
