BEFORE YOU COMMENT ABOUT SEAM'S PRONOUNS OR THE SCRAPPED INTRO PLEASE READ Hi everyone! Thank you all so so much for the love this video has gotten, it's been a surreal and overwhelming week and I could not be more grateful. I can say that work on my followup, "The Burgerpants Conspiracy," has officially commenced and I am more motivated than ever to make it the best it can be. :) In the meantime, I wanted to address a few recurring comments I've noticed: 1. The Scrapped Intro Yes, I know about the scrapped intro that supposedly would show The Knight at the top of a set of stairs. I plan to address this more thoroughly in the followup, but my short response is that I think the character who would have appeared in this intro is someone the game will try to convince us is the Knight, only to reveal the truth later. For my take on who that would be, stay tuned! 2. Inaccuracies about medieval knights and subject/object pronouns Long story short, I shared some misinformation regarding the way medieval knights were paid and the way object/subject pronouns are used. I don't think either of these inaccuracies discredit the theory, but I'll be correcting both of them in the followup. 3. The bit about Seam's pronouns I've only seen one comment about this which has since been deleted, but I wanted to clarify in case the joke causes any unintended harm - I'm not a transphobe, I'm queer myself! The joke was more of an excuse to do the ukulele apology bit and a reference to the fact that I kept messing up their pronouns while writing the script. I hope the fact that I use Kris and Seam's correct pronouns for the rest of the video helped communcate that :) Thank you for reading! Here's hoping that newsletter drops before we all lose it 🙏
you're queer huh?! prove it and kiss me, you magnificent motherhecker ...also for being the only vid on your channel, this is an excellent start. actual good job and i feel your theory holds very good ground. imma shill your vid to my pals on discord. and of course, despite my preferences, ill sub to you 👀 also your voices are immaculate. you sounded shockingly close to saltydkdan when you were doing that heroic voice. pleas more sir feed me more funny voice sir 😫👌
I don't think burgerpants will be the knight of any chapter, the entire point of the character is that he's complacent and lazy. And not the sans type of lazy, the type of 'done with everything'. He's unhappy but isn't willing to change things. He isn't determined enough to open a fountain which seems to be a requiremnet
Gaster: "I'm running out of people to call to convince them to open up a fountain.... who else is miserable enough in this place to need escapism THIS bad? oh wait let's call ICE-E's Pizza maybe they have terrible working conditions" Burgerpants: "if this damn phone rings one more time-"
@@cammyboigI just finished this video and went to your channel and I was surprised that this is your first video it's pretty good for a first theory video.
Your "Noelle's dark world = Angel's Heaven" theory makes the most sense out of any angel theory I've ever heard. Makes thematic sense, Noelle gets more screentime, and no timeloop bs. I'm 100% subscribing to this idea until chapters 3 & 4 inevitably destroy every theory
It even makes sense it is called "the angel heaven". She creates it to be a safe heaven/haven awa from the horrible reality that she is living in. So, it doesn't seem unlikely. What I am curious about is, since it happen when Asriel come back, will he perhaps help us, given he is another childhood friend of Noelle ? He would most likely be there, after all. You can't tell me that he wouldn't try to go check on her, after having heard everthing, at least to give his condoleances about her father's death.
Can we talk about how smart and cool "Silent Knight" as a title is? I believe that Kris, as a character, was named after Christmas, so Kris being dubbed the Silent Knight would be an allusion to the Christmas carol, Silent Night. In that carol, the night of Christ's birth - the first Christmas - WAS the silent night in question.
Furthermore, this Knight-naming convention would explain why Kris and the Holiday's were Christmas-coded in the first place - Toby loves puns, and the Christmas theme makes it easier to make puns for the Knight.
I love that, with the knight titles you granted, it would mean during Snowgrave, the Silent Knight and the Holy Knight would be working together, and causing all of the darkners to "sleep in heavenly peace"
@redsphinx113 maybe the vessel could be a secret boss in chapter 7 after things “end”. Think about it. We stop the roaring, and then we go back to hometown (same ending there, weird route or not). However, just like in undertale, we can still play around in the save file even after the “end” of the game. We could backtrack to the secret bunker, and then go inside. “But it’s locked!” I like to think maybe Asriel or Noelle gives us a key inside (Noelle after beating her in the weird route, mirroring a dark crystal like other secret bosses, and Asriel as a gift, which he presumably just found somewhere in college (man idk)). Then, going in the bunker, we get the final secret boss: yourself. Kris vs the vessel (you). And this could be why Toby deliberately puts it as “and one ending…?” Because that “?” At the end can resemble the final secret boss (yourself) that can change the fate of the story after it all “ends” (aka changing the future/epilogue with the outcome of the battle, which may vary depending on the route taken - weird/normal, and pacifist/genocide (hell, maybe even neutral)) Idk tho, just my mini theory on it all :p
All of this makes so much sense but what sells me is burgerpants as "Pizza Night". Absolutely something Toby would do. Can you imagine a horrible play palace themed dark world??? Starring the hero everyone loves, PIZZA NIGHT!?! 10/10, someone get toby on the line NOW
It’s easy to make jokes about Five Nights at Freddy’s but there is literally a moment in the game where Burgerpants calls his co-worker in a purple suit strange. Either there’s straight up going to be a FNaF inspired Dark World, or Toby Fox is going to mislead us and make it seem painfully obvious that the pizza place is going to become a Dark World only to subvert it in a funny way. Maybe at some point in home town the restaurant is locked up with police tape because the purple guy tried to stuff pizza into his own suit and take it home to eat.
@@WuhHuh I mean, if Kris, Susie, Noelle, Burgerpants, and one of the others (maybe Asgore is taking Kris out for pizza) were all there, then... you could very easily have Five Knights at Freddy's.
Y’know people seem to forget there’s another place the Knight could hide in the library: There’s whole ass second floor. They wouldn’t even necessarily need to be hiding from Berdly and Noelle, they could just be trying to wait out the musical traffic jam before running off.
@@pteroid11 Interesting point, but to me it still doesn't solve the issue of why berdly and noelle would stay in the room while a dark fountain forms. Though that could be where ms. boom is at when you first enter the library 🤔
@@cammyboig Oh yeah no I agree, I think it went: 1) Fountain Made 2) Hide from the honkening 3) Dark World formed 4) Noelle and Berdly enter 5) Kris and Susie enter 6) Knight runs off when the traffic jam dies down Your Mrs. Boom theory works in this framework because like even if people saw her exit the place, no one’s going to think much of it
@@pteroid11 It’s been argued that noelle and berdly were studying in the library before the dark world formed since their stationary was laid out on the table.
@@-ZHI never liked this reasoning because after you clear the Dark Fountain in Chapter 1 Kris and Susie are shown sitting down in front of a chess board with cards and toys strewn about, even though Kris and Susie never positioned themselves like that in the real world.
@@TrulySomeone exactly, its stupid reasoning to come to that conclusion. if it WAS formed while noelle and berdly were studying- You'd think they'd bring up the fact that some person just stabbed a gas pipe? Not only that but... dark fountains take like 2 minutes to form. I know Noelle's a deer, but you think the two of them would have SOME survival instinct to get the hell away from the mystery gas
23:28 Susie learns how to do it from Kris, Asgore accidentally overhears Susie talk about dark fountains, and Pizzapants learns it after Asgore orders a pizza.
Not sure how this could go down while ordering a pizza. If someone can write this interaction out, I would be so happy. But it does make sense for the deadbeat, running out of money dad to just order pizza instead of cooking it himself.
Also, maybe undyne would be plausible? Undyne/blooky (if kris released all the criminals after chapter 2) Undyne finds out either way, realizes how valuable being able to straight up talk to the objects at a crime scene would be for solving a mystery. So, new darkworld just dropped. This also means blooky in chapter 3 :)
The whole Noelle bit has me entirely convinced, especially your idea for what the Angel's Heaven actually means. Now I need to know the depths of the Burgerpants Conspiracy
If it was Ms. Boom who opened the cyber fountain, what if it's actually unintentional ? And Spamton's "No, I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to - -" line is quoting her reaction during it's creation. Since Spamton almost always speak in all-caps, only excluding the knight quote and the "Can anyone hear me? help..." line.
Honestly that actually could explain a lot. Unlike Alvin, maybe Ms. Boom was a lot more at peace with Gerson's passing. However, when your loved one on their death bed says they were able to create a whole ass other world, you'd be somewhat intrigued. You might be able to put off that intrigue for a few years, but all it would take is one bored day, really, to actually do it. It could also explain why Queen is looking for a new Knight, after realizing what she did, Ms. Boom abandons the Dark World, leaving them without a Knight
Honestly I think the adults in Hometown had adventures in the Dark Worlds way before Kris did. And that _that_ is going to be very relevant for future chapters
i'm interested in how you came to that conclusion. the only time an adult ever mentions a dark world is when kris talks to undyne about it, and undyne doesn't believe kris. other than that there's no direct mention of dark worlds from adults as far as i know, but it is implied that they don't know anything about the dark worlds. if your theory is true, (and i'm also keeping the video's theory in mind,) then it would mean that people creating dark fountains isn't a new thing and everyone has been doing it for a long time. that would actually be relevant in later chapters, because it would change the way that we and the characters have been thinking about dark worlds. whatever the knights are trying to achieve by making dark worlds, they've been trying to achieve it for a while. and with so many other fountains having been created, the roaring is a much more real possibility. the only thing is that it's impossible to seal dark fountains without a human, and as far as we know kris is the only human in hometown. so that would mean that either there was some other human in hometown a long time ago that sealed dark fountains but kids in hometown have never heard of them, or they just never sealed the dark fountains, and they're just all over hometown. if the latter is the case, then the roaring would happen any minute i think. i just realized this might come off as me being rude or trying to discredit your theory, but just to clarify i'm just trying to think about it and what it would mean
@@dookieface7083 Seam has obviously had experience with previous Lightners coming through the Dark worlds before Kris and Susie. Who's to say that some of the older people in town couldn't have explored the dark worlds in the past when they were teens?
This is an incredibly well made first video. Regardless of whether or not any of the theory material is believed or not, the production values here are really awesome. Great work!!
What if Gaster is influencing these ""knights"" into unleashing the Roaring by using the escapism they desire (the dark fountains) to free himself from _the Depths_ ?
And what if the prophecy was made by someone who doesn't want gaster to leave the depths? Creating false lies about the roaring to scare people from opening enough fountains and reaching the depths.
What if that's why Dess went missing? She attempted to become a Knight but got trapped because no human was there to seal the fountain and send her home
Actually, Toby, if he wished, could’ve called the Knight “The Roaring Knight” in chapter 1, since that would’ve made the reveal of the Roaring much more impactful so, in fact, looking at why “The Roaring Knight” is only called by that title in Chapter 2 from a narrative perspective makes it weirder that he DIDN’T introduce the Knight as The Roaring Knight
Kris opening a dark world in the weird route makes more sense then in the normal route. Kris just witnessed the soul go on a complete rampage, not just defeating, but freezing enemies, even making birdly uhh... Dead i think. We hurt noelle so bad and it scares them. They want control. To escape. What if the will of a lightner has an effect on the dark world itself. Making it so that we can only do things theyd like
@@dravendarkplays9607 ohhh interesting. So like in this context Kris would be opening the dark world because they're scared of us killing more of their friends, they'd rather it happen in a dark world because darkners are less consequential
So they just... Create a Dark World, a place where they know we have a much bigger potential to do harm (We've never been able to enter a fight in the Light World, even when Susie directly attacked Kris), and they drag Susie, their mother and potentially the police into it... Because they think that they "might" be able to control it if they open the fountain themselves? Put everyone in danger on a hunch? I don't like theories that rely on characters being stupid.
@@paradoxicaloutcome1007yeah i’ve only heard the theory in terms of ‘kris involves toriel/the police because they might know how to DO something about this’ rather than it being some sort of escape
@@ZannyAisling Still don't like it. It's obvious Kris is planning things in advance towards some sort of bigger goal, and theories like this kind of downplay Kris into some clueless teen who's just doing stuff on a whim. The events of Chapter 2's ending were planned as far back as the night before. The TV got plugged in between Chapter 1 and 2, and interacting with the sink at the start of 2 gives you "It's not yet time to wash your hands" as flavor text, suggesting there is a time for that- foreshadowing later events. Even eating the pie you could argue led to Toriel baking a new one, and inviting Susie in to help her with it. All of these small details leading up to Chapter 2's ending seems intentional. Kris is definitely doing something.
i really don't have something to say about the theory but i can say whit certainty that your stile of video( a board and red string AND "animation") is a breath of fresh air in this platform. thank you for the video.
There's a reason why Kris opened the ch3's fountain. First of all, notice how ch2's ending was a bit too specific: - Kris rips us into the bathroom cabinet and goes off-screen for ~20 secs - Toriel calls the police to tell them her car's tires were **slashed** (with big bloody red highlighted text), obvious to assume that Kris did it - Kris turns TV on - Kris slightly opens the front door - Kris opens a fountain In both ch1 & ch2 we can interact with Undyne to tell her about the Dark Worlds, but in both cases she'll think we're coping. In ch3 we'll have a conclusive evidence of existence of the Dark Worlds. When a policeman will check on Toriel's car they'll hear the TV static noise and face its direction. They'll notice the front door being unlocked and will come in our house thinking something bad could've happened and enter the Dark World. That's when the police will at least do something about it. But Undyne may still think we're coping. She's not the only policeman in the Hometown and can't work 24/7. What if Napstablook comes to check on Toriel's car? Ghosts don't need to sleep, and all actions are taking place under the cover of night. He's the most perfect candidate for the night shift. Undyne will miss the entire Dark World shenanigans out, and do you really think she'll believe in what Napsta will say about it? Nobody will be informed about the Dark Worlds' presence in the end.
I don't believe Gerson is dead. I think he created a Dark World out of his Lord of The Hammer book and, because he wrote it to be the ultimately fantasy world that appeals to Gerson specifically, one day he simply chose to never leave.
That begs the question of where exactly his dark world is? Because dark wolds aren't just some parallel plane of existence, them existing at all requires taking up an area of the light world and filling that area with darkness. It's not something that would go unnoticed for years on end, and is pretty obvious when you stumble across it.The only plausible location I can think of would be the Bunker, because if it's locked, noone without the key will be able to investigate and the place will just be assumed to be abandoned.
@@sarrakitty I was thinking that too. Imagine if a big twist was that Gerson wasn't dead and just in the bunker? And of course we hear Gaster's sound coming from the Bunker so maybe he is somehow using the power of Gerson's Dark World? I'm not entirely sure yet but someone did mention these Dark Worlds could assist Gaster in escaping the Depths or something
@@DreemurrsKid We don't even know if "The Depths" is a thing or not, it's effectively just fanon at this point, but if Gaster is plot relevant I highly expect he is, Toby probably wouldn't leave this many hints if he wasnt) I expect him and Gerson have either interacted at some point, or Gaster is using gerson, or his dark world somehow, given that this sort of theory assumes Gerson was one of the oldest Lightners around in this town who knew about dark worlds let alone made his own, and that Gaster and his presence in the game are highly connected with Dark worlds.
as a stickler who watched so many deltarune theory videos and debated lore with strangers since chap2 was released, your video is really good, its structually sound, presents new ideas, focused, and best of all.. actually takes into consideration the direction the game and toby fox took with their stories. it also got prediction that dont take it to fanfiction territories, the ones you didnt have much on or were close to fanfiction level you respectfully isolated from the video, that is so refreashing to hear.
Considering the plot is kind of a “whodunnit” with the knowledge that SOMEONE in the town must be opening Dark Worlds, “everyone did it” would be sort of an Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express-style reveal.
One thing I've never heard anyone draw attention to was how Berdly and Noel specifically *woke up* in the computer lab. Kris and Susie never wake up after leaving a dark world, nor act like they're in some just-woken-up stupor. If the dark worlds take time to fill with dark smoke in order to form, it seems likely to me that they were asleep before the dark world was opened. Maybe someone hiding in the closet had some knockout gas and a gas mask with the intent of sending these two to the dark world. It's anyone's guess if it would've been deliberately targeting Noel and/or Berdly, or if they wanted to know what happens when someone is already in an area as it gets turned into a dark world, or if they planned on making a dark world and had to resort to this "Plan B" when it seemed like these two were going to be there for hours doing school work. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the characters also wake up after leaving the Chapter 3 dark world since it's taking place at night, but Berdly and Noel is still suspicious.
We don't see how Susie and Kris are when they first wake up. The light are off. They could've easily been asleep on the floor when the fountain first sealed, and then gotten up during the scuffle to find the light switch. Also, check Berdly / Noelle's dialogue when they wake up and Susie's dialogue right after the fountain is sealed in Chapter 1. They're written very similarly, with lots of ellipses and word/letter repeats. Susie even questions if that was a dream or not, just like Noelle/Berdly. Occam's Razor says "Susie and Kris were also asleep in Chapter 1, we just didn't see it" makes a whole lot more sense than "the Knight pulled a SWAT team bust-in with knockout gas to open the fountain while Berdly and Noelle were in the room".
@@paradoxicaloutcome1007 From what the ending of Chapter 1 shows, it seems more like Kris and Susie go from standing in front of the fountain to standing in a pitch black classroom. Maybe the part where you say "we don't see how Susie and Kris are" is because there is no time between scenes A and B. And Susie's dialogue having lots of ellipses could convey that she's groggily waking up if the line was something like "Ugh... what... just happened to us?" but it's "Wh... what happened!? I can't see anything!!" it seems a lot like a confused panic, with many of the ellipses afterwards also being used in a more puzzled manner. And in a world where magic is seen as occult, thinking of dark worlds as a dream would be the way I imagine most people would try and rationalize it. And when we see Susie and Kris enter and leave the closet dark world of their own volition in Chapter 2, nothing seems to indicate that they are going to sleep or waking up. Also, if Kris and Susie were asleep during the events of Chapter 1, then that would mean that either they sleepwalked into the unused classroom, or that somebody moved them from the closet to the classroom. And if all four of our cast were asleep during the events of Chapter 2, we would basically have to shrug off the fact that Susie and Kris woke up before the others as a plot contrivance, I see no reason why they wouldn't have all woken up at the same time when the fountain was sealed. Toby certainly has put some plot contrivances in his works already so it isn't impossible that it's just for presentation's sake, but I think that the possibility of it being relevant to the story can't be written off until we see how future chapters handle things. And I'd say it's still difficult to understand why the Knight is doing what they're doing, how they know what they know, and how much *do* they even know. It's possible that Chapter 2 was an experiment by them, it's possible that this is all part of some calculated plan and that they're going all-in to try and bring about armageddon, and in either case I could see them being willing to knock out people with sleeping gas. Keep in mind that gasses for knocking people out can be as mundane as tanks of carbon dioxide or even nitrous oxide that dentists use before more involved procedures. It would be within reason that people in town would be able to get their hands on these as we have seen that there's a hospital in town, and if someone is able to justify causing a catastrophe, getting their hands on laughing gas seems trivial in comparison, you can buy them online.
@@pikmints They're standing by the time they manage to turn the lights on. They explicitly fumble around for a good few seconds, even hitting eachother. We don't know what position they were in the moment the fountain was sealed. They are not standing in the exact same position relative to eachother as they were when the fountain was sealed anyways, in both Chapter 1 or 2. I find it interesting that Toby actually obscured this in Chapter 1, given he didn't do the same thing for Chapter 2. I mean, you can also be in a confused panic when you've just woken up and can't see anything. They weren't in a room with a light that could be turned off when the fountain was sealed, some confusion is given. Noelle and Berdly had no reason to panic because the computer lab was already lit when they "woke up". As for Chapter 2, combining the third point with the second half of the second point, a lot of stuff with how Susie and Kris interact with the Dark Worlds changed. In Chapter 1 they walked around in the closet for a good while before falling downwards, while in Chapter 2 they could simply jump into Dark Worlds, and even leave Castle Town without sealing a fountain. Both this and them seemingly not falling asleep when leaving Castle Town or Cyber World could be a result of experience or repeated exposure, while Berdly and Noelle abide by Chapter 1 rules, so to say, because it's their first time. They only way to confirm it would be to see Noelle and Berdly enter / exit another Dark World in future chapters, I suppose. Honestly, the whole knockout gas thing seems way too contrived. There's no evidence of anything of the sort other than Noelle and Berdly having been asleep. And in any case, any theory that makes the assumption that Noelle and Berdly were asleep before the fountain was formed has to explain how Noelle and Berdly were seemingly awake in the Dark World while they remained asleep in the Light one to the point they don't wake up until after the fountain is sealed. The idea that you "wake up" from a kind of retroactive sleep the first time you exit a Dark World explains both this question and your question of "Did Kris sleepwalk over to the unused classroom", the answer to that one under this idea being "No, they weren't asleep until they returned to the Light World, they just moved there normally through their Dark World journey".
and the fact that noelle fully believes she's dreaming would make more sense considering that she fell asleep before the dark fountain was opened. but idk if i fully believe that theory after watching the video. i think it would be more likely that noelle and berdly fell asleep on their own and happened to be in the room when the dark fountain was opened. but the knight's motive for purposefully trapping people in the dark world isn't very strong. and if they didn't want that, they would have waited for no one to be in the lab to open the dark fountain.
@@pikmintsto address one of your points: Kris and Susie are not in the closet anymore because dark worlds still have correlation to their real world counterparts. Pretty sure that the closet is Ralsei's kingdom. Y'know, the one with the giant door that leads to a different space? Just like the closet is connected to the old classroom? Yeah
I'm still a fan of the "hear me out" silly theory of the annoying dog/Toby being the knight for chapter 2. Knowing it's just a meme but the annoying dog has been mentioned by various characters way more than the one interaction in undertale. End of chapter 1 it states that the dog/Toby is working hard on a game in the computer lab. You know funny fourth wall joke. Funny enough that's where ch2 is. Then in ch2 town exploration is blocked from the traffic jam caused by a dog in a toy car mentioned by undyne. The same traffic jam happening in the dark world caused by the same way mentioned by the queen. Then the dog appearing once again in the palace during the find the key mentioned by Susie to "get that dog" That's 3 different characters all in the same chapter mentioning the dog as a character and impacting the story progression. Compared to undertales one off joke of the annoying dog stealing papyrus special attack. It's just a meme but a funny thing to think about.
i really like this theory, it makes a lot more sense then kris being the sole knight, and i think it would be a great plot twist to find out there are far more hometown residents involved than we would have first assumed and there is a surprising amount of evidence to back it up! great video❤
Also, being sincere and honest, I want at least ONE Knight to be Quixotic. It simply works too good with the themes. Sometimes, you don't have anything going on in your life. You hold no importance, you have no friends, and the best place in the world is the solitary space of your own bedroom. If that's the case, why not take a page out of Don Quixote's book and imagine yourself a fantastical world where you're the main protagonist?
"is it right for this hammer to..." Seems more like he's going to open a dark world, than "is it right for this hammer to have opened a dark fountain yesterday" But who knows.
I think it can still work-- If he created the first dark fountain as a test, maybe he is speculating "is it right for this hammer to (end the angel's heaven)"? or something to that effect? Meaning that, after his successful experiment with the school's fountain, he intends on making another one (The Big One). Maybe Gaster is guiding him as a false prophet, guiding him to make dark fountains under the guise of "saving the world from the angel's heaven".
ALSO (omg sorry to keep yapping) if the above is true, he could have recruited his wife and one more person to try and become the trio from the prophecy. They could be represented as the "dark" side of the chessboard, which gaster is playing, vs our Main Trio on the "light" side with us as the playmaker.
@@honey3339 That fun! But angel's heaven sounds like it'd be a positive thing in a religion worshiping the angel. Maybe they're trying to start it and don't know what it'd really do.? Or they might even see it as a good thing. (Or the angel might just not be perceived as an all good deity in hometown's religion.)
i do really like this theory, while it does explain a lot about the lore i just cant force myself to believe the theory. what kept repeating in my head was when toby talked about how he imagined a fully animated intro for deltarune, with the knight standing at the top of some stairs as the bosses attack the heroes running up it. to me, this is solid proof that the knight is one person. other than that, i love the idea of noelle being the angel from the deltarune, and creating the angels heaven. the prophecy that ralsei tells doesnt actually mention a knight anywhere in it, only the angels heaven, so its certain in my mind that the knight is not the final boss, and instead would be noelle. bravo!
I forgot that Burgerpants was one of the other proposed options for a knight so when he was mentioned with all the others towards the end of the video as the pizza knight it was one of the moments of my day thank you
This is a bit of a random idea, but I wonder if Noelle and Berdly came out of the Dark World sleeping because they already thought it was a dream? Susie convinces Noelle during the game that their whole adventure is just a dream (not sure about Berdly though). Really shaky theory, but something I suddenly thought of.
I’ve had a theory that whoever becomes the knight enters a sleep walking like state, and the knight is kind of like an entity that takes over your body once you have the title *of* the knight. Plus, I feel like the knight tells each boss darkner (king, queen, and whoever else in the future) the exact same vague information about covering the world in darkness, but I think that once the knight shows/tells them that, whoever it tells projects their own motives onto it as if the knight agreed with them on it. Like, King saying “My knight, I will not fail you” and wanting to have revenge on the lightners, thinking that *that’s why* the knight wanted him to do it, Queen saying “it deigned to create this world” [deigned meaning doing something beneath one’s dignity, which i believe is how *queen* would’ve felt if she had to do something by herself and not have someone else do it] but also saying “I was just guessing based off the knights actions” It’s like how several people can have *the exact same dream* or look at *the exact same painting* and interpret it *completely* differently, or if you want to make it religious, you could say it’s like how people have interpreted the Bible to say all sorts of different things that align with *their* morals and beliefs with each translation, despite all of it stemming from the same book.
@@cammyboig I think once the knight takes over the body, and once it talks to whoever’s in charge and gives them the message, I think they leave through the fountain and whoever was possessed by the knight wakes up and doesn’t remember what happened. I don’t think it was the knight who took us out of Kris’s body (although that could make sense) since we’ve seen Kris take us out of them when they’re fully awake, so I think it was just Kris doing that. I don’t think the knight takes over the host (or vessel 👀 if you want to call it that) until they’re actually *inside* the dark world. Of course we’ll have to wait till chapter 3 in order to get any confirmation on this, since currently I have *no idea* how any of this would apply to Kris when they already put us back in before the fountain consumed us, and how would being the knight affect us, if at all? When Kris falls asleep in class, we don’t see what happens, so maybe it’s something similar to that? No idea 🤷
i really wanna hear the burgerpants thing and also thank you for feeding our brainrot this is such a great theory and this editing style is so cool and funny omg
deltarune chapter 8 kris: i-i’m… the knight susie: … i’m the knight too! ralsei: i’m also the knight noelle: i am the knight all of hometown, in chorus: i’m the knight!! and then there;s a boss fight with gaster knight or something
* Just a minor thing, but King and Queen's history can easily be explained with concept art. There's sprite mockups that show that Queen was originally meant to be a calculator, which obviously would have been used in the school. Mostly likely one of the students (or maybe Alvin/Ms Boom? again, both have school access) brought it over from the unused classroom a while back when it was still a used classroom, and it was just left there. * With Queen now being a computer, one could possibly presume that she is one of the students' (or again Alvin's) computer that used to be used when they were being taught in the unused classroom.
i really dig the corkboard and the red threads of insanity lol so unique. subbed instantly, can't wait what more you have in store because this video was awesome
I would like to point out that creating a dark fountain could be a physically exhausting experience, and that making more than one a day is likely to make one pass out. We don’t have any proof for or against the side effects of creating a fountain, because the only time that a character has created one on screen is Kris, and we don’t know what they’re gonna be like after waking up Though otherwise, I like the idea of there being more than one Knight. I think that trying to extrapolate it out to a whole seven knights is a _bit_ much, but I do agree that the fandom is very held up on there just being one guy:tm:
This is genuinely one of the best Deltarune theories I have ever seen. Though I am still team Kris-Knight, you made some really good points and really interesting side theories I agree with. Great video, keep it up.
I loved the slightly bit crushed effect you had on your voice acting. It reminded me of old acting in retro games, particularly Zelda CDI. And that's NOT a bad thing!
1:37 as someone who knows a little more about medivial fuedalism, i cringed so damn hard. No, knighthood is not a landed title, but knights where most often not firstborn sons of landed nobels, when land was conquered it was common to grant the new lands to these unlanded nobels, and a plot of land in a fuedal system was called a fief. The land has absolutely nothing to do with the office of knight, it just so happens the demographic most likely to serve as a knight is also the demographic most likely to be granted a fief. And receiving there own fief to rule over would almost always end there carrier as a knight and begin there carrier as landed aristocracy just like there fathers or older brothers.
@@cammyboig oh btw, someone granted a small fief with no vassals of there own, depending on where your talking about, would be a baron. Which is where the colloquial definition of a baron being a "powerful rich person" comes from. A lord a rank above that would be a count, who lorded over barons and ruled counties. Dukes had counts as vassals, and ruled a duchy, kings where a tier above that, and an emperor would be a tier above that.
@@huskadog7748i appreciate the education :) in the end I don't think the inaccuracy really affects the theory at large, it was just the initial thought that got the ball rolling, but this is definitely something I'll address if I make a followup.
havent even finished the video but its already epic, i hope your quest to be a new deltarune creator is completed edit: now ive finished the video! liked. subed. bell rang. great takes overall, would love to hear the burgerpants theory
This is a phenomenal video man :) I admit -- I saw the thumbnail a few weeks ago and didn't think I could stomach another knight theory. But you were immediately self-aware about that, and your presentation and pacing after that point hooked me. Easily the best video on the knight, IMO. Hugely appreciate that you didn't waste time recounting Deltarune's plot or well-trodden arguments about known knight candidates. You gave me just enough context to orient me and provided just enough evidence to get me thinking. Super efficient and breezy writing. It feels like you know your audience. I deeply enjoy your style. The corkboard felt very tangible and high-effort, and funny as you started laying images and strings over each other. The freakish Smiling Friends style rantsona was a good contrast to that -- made the video feel intimate and friendly. Love the idea that the Angel's Heaven is Noelle's dark world! It feels so obvious now that you mention it. Super curious what that might look like. I'd love a surreal kind of dark world that looks and feels exactly like Hometown, except it's at a point in Noelle's childhood where everything was going well for her. Dess is around, Asriel hasn't left yet, the Dreemurrs and the Holidays are still friendly with each other... Banishing that dark world would symbolically banish these characters' childhoods -- a high-stakes coming of age. Maybe the thing that grounds her is Susie. She gives her a reason to live for now rather than before. I think the idea of multiple knights fits neatly into Deltarune's themes. There's this sense that characters can reject their roles and take on others. In chapter 1, Susie switches between the roles of "good guy" and "bad guy" at will; at the end of chapter 2, Kris changes from a protagonist into an antagonist; Susie and Ralsei break their roles in the battle system and learn how to ACT. Even smaller things, like how titles change on the Snowgrave route (e.g. Kris becomes just "Leader"), or when you eat moss, inspect beds, pose differently with Ralsei. Who's to say that someone couldn't become a knight? Personally I think this even extends to The Angel -- I'm not convinced that The Angel is a singular person, but rather a role to be filled. Anyway -- this was a great video, and I'd love to see more from you :)
@@snarlinger I really really appreciate the kind words :) Seeing your first video come out of nowhere and get the attention it did was a big factor in my decision to finally throw my hat in the ring, so thank you! Your concept of noelle's dark world is absolutely sick by the way, it sounds like a perfect encapsulation of the game's themes!
I wonder if Deltarune is supposed to be some kind of simulation created by Gaster for The Underground. A simulation that lets Monsters experience The Surface without actually being on The Surface. It would fit in with the theme of escapism. Or alternatively. Maybe Deltarune could be a dark world. And that is the creation that Gaster fell into. I am sure there are problems with these theories though.
this is, imo, the only way having an undertale character as "the knight" is compelling. like, ok, _maybe_ i could put up with papyrus or burgerpants as the knight for _one_ chapter lol. i've had multiknight kicking round my head for a while, mostly because i like that "knight" is such a fun homophone for "night" ie dark world. if ch 3 doesn't start setting up the mayor or alvin or whoever tf else, this theory might have my heart. super keen to see more from you!!
I definitely think the fatalism themes will be included in both normal and weird routes, and we saw that even with Snowgrave, everything back in Hometown plays out more or less the same. I could easily see a scenario where Weird Route Noelle is even *more* devastated by Rudy’s death, and becomes entranced/controlled by Gaster or something
I liked the video overall, I liked the presentation the cork board is cute, I also liked that the video didn't waste my time. That being said I don't really agree with the theory overall I feel like having all these different characters, most of which no one cares about, making dark worlds would massively muddle the plot and be super confusing to casually players who see Kris being the Knight as explicit cannon. It would also undermine Kris' actions and devalue them as a character if they have to share the spotlight of being the Knight with a bunch of randos we don't care about as well as making Kris' actions regarding the soul make no sense. I could see other characters besides the knight making dark fountains in later chapters but as of right now I believe that all the ones we have been to so far have been made by the same person and that person is Kris. That being said I do agree with you 100% on your chapter 7 prediction. In fact the video I'm working on right now is going in-depth on the idea and covers some of the same points you made. But overall good video keep it up. 👍
@@blackchestnut First of all thank you for watching and commenting!! I really enjoy your theories (you're in that special thanks creator list at the end if you didn't notice) and am honored you took the time to check mine out. I think you certainly have a point regarding narrative simplicity and making the story too obtuse for casual fans, that was also part of why I was initially a Kris Knight guy. But as we're only 2 chapters in, I don't think it's impossible that the Boom family could get some more explicit focus in the narrative, especially if we eventually get a dark world in the church like many people speculate. And aside from the Booms, I don't know if I'd really count other Undertale characters as "randos," considering Toby's insistence that Deltarune is a game made for people who have already played Undertale. That being said I think you have a point about Kris' value in the narrative being undermined, but in my opinion, Kris was plenty interesting as a character before the end of Chapter 2 and if my theory does turn out to be accurate I can't imagine Kris will feel less important as long as they remain our player character. Also, glad to hear we're of the same mind about Chapter 7!! :) There's a reason why I made a point of how confident I was about that section lol
I'm in love with your editing and style of humor, but your theory is also super solid as well! Was skeptical with the thumbnail but you've totally sold me, immediate subscribe

I love the humor, the jokes, and the sprite character you have. It makes it feel so *alive* in a way I haven’t really seen before, especially with the bulletin board. Keep up the good work!!
Think your the first Deltarune theorist I’ve seen who does their own voices when quoting and that’s so awesome. For being your first video this is so fucking good I can’t wait for your next videos
Bro, I was never SO convinced by a Deltarune theory until now! The idea is genius and the video is REALLY well made, while also very entertaining to watch! I will for sure look out to other videos from you!!!
I do want to give a bit of evidence against this theory, and while its fair to not count it fully due to it not being directly from the games, this is something Toby himself said. When Toby released several unused tracks from Deltarune, one of them was a early rendition of the main theme. In the description he gave of this song, Toby said he imagined it like some sort of intro, with Kris climbing a staircase at the end of the theme, past all of the chapter's bosses until they reach the top, where the Knight is waiting. Toby used a singular pronoun in this situation, which leads me to believe there is only one Knight. Again, this isn't from the games and was a early idea of who the knight was, so it may not be applicable as much anymore, but it is still important to note. That being said, love the theory! I actually glossed over "knight" being highlighter when Berdly said it, and never realized it. While this is assuming there is only one knight, I wonder if Berdly actually saw something that could be described as a "Knight" when they were first brought into the dark world...
@@Typi Thank you for the critique!! I am actually aware of that bit about the scrapped intro. My take on it essentially is that Toby fully intends for a character in game to serve as a red herring as the Knight before the reveal happens, so that's who would have appeared in the intro. I have a bit more to say on the subject but I'm going to address it in a followup video :)
@@cammyboig Nothing prevents this knight from being "final", i.e. Noelle ( in general, even Rudolf can be a knight... Just imagine. A Holy/half-dead knight who will protect the Angel and his Heaven).
yeah this is a really great video. chapter 2 has been out for so long that it's hard to find videos that actually bring completely new ideas. the evidence makes sense and i really love how you're forming your own conclusion based on evidence and not going off of preconceived ideas created by the fanbase. it's honestly weird how so many people treat this as some kind of murder mystery and try to find who the knight is, i always assumed that the knight was just a person who creates dark fountains, and may or may not reveal themselves in later chapters. but this is a nice fresh idea that makes sense while also taking other theories into account. you got a sub from me and im excited to see what else you're doing in the future, im always happy to see new deltarune theorists exploring this game
this just changed the way i see deltarune holy shit. not just because of the knight theory, ive had similar ideas in my brain for a while, the noelle thing + the weird route being more focused on the metanarrative make SO MUCH SENSE my theory was similar, that "the knight" is more of a concept, but i never thought much into it and this is everything i could've asked for side note a really funny idea to me is that berdly made the cyber world by accident because he got frustrated and stabbed his pencil into the table or something. talk about concentrating determination into a sharp implement amirite
Compelling argument! Especially the 'Angel's Heaven' The idea that the Knight could be multiple people and be the 'Night' ushering in the dream world where our eyes are closed is something I'd considered in passing. Though, I never clocked Ms. Boom. I actually wondered if it had something to do with Shyren and Ice-E being in the second hospital room. Like expending that much determination meant they needed to have a long rest. Another argument is that on a Chess Board there are two Knights on both sides, so maybe there are only two, including Kris. This is kind of a side tangest to the school objects thing, but I was wondering if the Squeaky Hammer from chapter 1 might have been something Gerson used to pretend to magically fix things. Either cuz, it's a hammer, or like pretending it had magical properties and could heal scraped knees and stuff.
I just wanted to say that you weird little round persona is so charming, I love all the little sprites you made for this video! Excited to see your channel grow :)
BEFORE YOU COMMENT ABOUT SEAM'S PRONOUNS OR THE SCRAPPED INTRO PLEASE READ
Hi everyone!
Thank you all so so much for the love this video has gotten, it's been a surreal and overwhelming week and I could not be more grateful. I can say that work on my followup, "The Burgerpants Conspiracy," has officially commenced and I am more motivated than ever to make it the best it can be. :) In the meantime, I wanted to address a few recurring comments I've noticed:
1. The Scrapped Intro
Yes, I know about the scrapped intro that supposedly would show The Knight at the top of a set of stairs. I plan to address this more thoroughly in the followup, but my short response is that I think the character who would have appeared in this intro is someone the game will try to convince us is the Knight, only to reveal the truth later. For my take on who that would be, stay tuned!
2. Inaccuracies about medieval knights and subject/object pronouns
Long story short, I shared some misinformation regarding the way medieval knights were paid and the way object/subject pronouns are used. I don't think either of these inaccuracies discredit the theory, but I'll be correcting both of them in the followup.
3. The bit about Seam's pronouns
I've only seen one comment about this which has since been deleted, but I wanted to clarify in case the joke causes any unintended harm - I'm not a transphobe, I'm queer myself! The joke was more of an excuse to do the ukulele apology bit and a reference to the fact that I kept messing up their pronouns while writing the script. I hope the fact that I use Kris and Seam's correct pronouns for the rest of the video helped communcate that :)
Thank you for reading! Here's hoping that newsletter drops before we all lose it 🙏

Gaster: "I'm running out of people to call to convince them to open up a fountain.... who else is miserable enough in this place to need escapism THIS bad? oh wait let's call ICE-E's Pizza maybe they have terrible working conditions"

This is literally perfect 👌

And also how great the holy knight title is!
My goodness it’s all coming together
I love that, with the knight titles you granted, it would mean during Snowgrave, the Silent Knight and the Holy Knight would be working together, and causing all of the darkners to "sleep in heavenly peace"
Does this mean Berdley is important to the climax of the story??
So epic, so cool.
Also, the vessel is Jesus, (Gods will on Earth) ((Ours in-game)) or maybe Lancer (heavenly infant so tender and mild)
@@redsphinx113 this reminds me of this fanart of Susie painting Lancer as baby Jesus
And this could be why Toby deliberately puts it as “and one ending…?” Because that “?” At the end can resemble the final secret boss (yourself) that can change the fate of the story after it all “ends” (aka changing the future/epilogue with the outcome of the battle, which may vary depending on the route taken - weird/normal, and pacifist/genocide (hell, maybe even neutral))
Idk tho, just my mini theory on it all :p

It’s been argued that noelle and berdly were studying in the library before the dark world formed since their stationary was laid out on the table.
Undyne/blooky (if kris released all the criminals after chapter 2)
Undyne finds out either way, realizes how valuable being able to straight up talk to the objects at a crime scene would be for solving a mystery.
So, new darkworld just dropped.
This also means blooky in chapter 3 :)
Asgore orders a pizza and BP has to listen to him ramble about fountains instead of just letting him deliver it because he so lonely
Susie was there when Queen explained it, so she doesn't need to learn it from Kris.
Yo you were kinda cooking with this
Honestly that actually could explain a lot. Boom abandons the Dark World, leaving them without a Knight
i would like to point out that the Snowgrave spell blizard thingy is shaped an awful lot like a dark fountain
the snowgrave sound effect also kind of evokes the one for the fountain being opened, or maybe that's just me
@@gamingcookiereal it does somewhat sound like a dark fountain opening yeah

Actually, Toby, if he wished, could’ve called the Knight “The Roaring Knight” in chapter 1, since that would’ve made the reveal of the Roaring much more impactful
so, in fact, looking at why “The Roaring Knight” is only called by that title in Chapter 2 from a narrative perspective makes it weirder that he DIDN’T introduce the Knight as The Roaring Knight
Further proof that Toby Fox is in fact a human mecha piloted by a small dog
Kris opening a dark world in the weird route makes more sense then in the normal route.
Kris just witnessed the soul go on a complete rampage, not just defeating, but freezing enemies, even making birdly uhh... Dead i think.
We hurt noelle so bad and it scares them. They want control. To escape. What if the will of a lightner has an effect on the dark world itself. Making it so that we can only do things theyd like
@@dravendarkplays9607 ohhh interesting. So like in this context Kris would be opening the dark world because they're scared of us killing more of their friends, they'd rather it happen in a dark world because darkners are less consequential
i see only 1 problem with this idea. why would kris bring us, the player, into their escape from us?
So they just... Create a Dark World, a place where they know we have a much bigger potential to do harm (We've never been able to enter a fight in the Light World, even when Susie directly attacked Kris), and they drag Susie, their mother and potentially the police into it... There's a reason why Kris opened the ch3's fountain.
First of all, notice how ch2's ending was a bit too specific:
- Kris rips us into the bathroom cabinet and goes off-screen for ~20 secs
- Toriel calls the police to tell them her car's tires were **slashed** (with big bloody red highlighted text), obvious to assume that Kris did it
- Kris turns TV on
- Kris slightly opens the front door
- Kris opens a fountain
In both ch1 & ch2 we can interact with Undyne to tell her about the Dark Worlds, but in both cases she'll think we're coping.
This is just that one scp
Maybe Gerson fought Gaster at some point in the past
@@DreemurrsKid We don't even know if
"The Depths" is a thing or not, it's effectively just fanon at this point, but if Gaster is plot relevant I highly expect he is, Toby probably wouldn't leave this many hints if he wasnt) I expect him and Gerson have either interacted at some point, or Gaster is using gerson, or his dark world somehow, given that this sort of theory assumes Gerson was one of the oldest Lightners around in this town who knew about dark worlds let alone made his own, and that Gaster and his presence in the game are highly connected with Dark worlds.
as a stickler who watched so many deltarune theory videos and debated lore with strangers since chap2 was released, your video is really good, its structually sound, presents new ideas, focused, and best of all.. actually takes into consideration the direction the game and toby fox took with their stories.
it also got prediction that dont take it to fanfiction territories, the ones you didnt have much on or were close to fanfiction level you respectfully isolated from the video, that is so refreashing to hear.
Considering the plot is kind of a “whodunnit” with the knowledge that SOMEONE in the town must be opening Dark Worlds, “everyone did it” would be sort of an Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express-style reveal.
I agree with this incredibly handsome pillow and his senseless rambling. That's a prophet if I ever heard one
Toby Fox already confirmed Oberon Smog
Yeah

A new high quality deltarune theory/analysis youtuber? Tysm for making the wait more tolerable. I too have the deltarune brain rot.
Then the dog appearing once again in the palace during the find the key mentioned by Susie to "get that dog"
That's 3 different characters all in the same chapter mentioning the dog as a character and impacting the story progression.
"is it right for this hammer to..." Seems more like he's going to open a dark world, than "is it right for this hammer to have opened a dark fountain yesterday"
But who knows.
@@Rose_Haw honestly completely fair point. This is maybe the one piece of evidence I truly don't have an explanation for at the moment
He could be making a new one to be more successful with the hammer used to open to harness his essence and possibly the blade changes the dark world
I think it can still work-- If he created the first dark fountain as a test, maybe he is speculating "is it right for this hammer to (end the angel's heaven)"? or something to that effect?
(Or the angel might just not be perceived as an all good deity in hometown's religion.)
i do really like this theory, while it does explain a lot about the lore i just cant force myself to believe the theory. what kept repeating in my head was when toby talked about how he imagined a fully animated intro for deltarune, with the knight standing at the top of some stairs as the bosses attack the heroes running up it. to me, this is solid proof that the knight is one person.
other than that, i love the idea of noelle being the angel from the deltarune, and creating the angels heaven. the prophecy that ralsei tells doesnt actually mention a knight anywhere in it, only the angels heaven, so its certain in my mind that the knight is not the final boss, and instead would be noelle. bravo!
I've gotten a lot of comments about the scrapped intro, gonna discuss it in the followup :)

Like, King saying “My knight, I will not fail you” and wanting to have revenge on the lightners, thinking that *that’s why* the knight wanted him to do it, Queen saying “it deigned to create this world” [deigned meaning doing something beneath one’s dignity, which i believe is how *queen* would’ve felt if she had to do something by herself and not have someone else do it] but also saying “I was just guessing based off the knights actions”
It’s like how several people can have *the exact same dream* or look at *the exact same painting* and interpret it *completely* differently, or if you want to make it religious, you could say it’s like how people have interpreted the Bible to say all sorts of different things that align with *their* morals and beliefs with each translation, despite all of it stemming from the same book.
@@Ongle_Spongle interesting. So under this interpretation Kris isn't kicking us out of their body, the Knight is kicking Kris out?
No idea 🤷

I would like to point out that creating a dark fountain could be a physically exhausting experience, and that making more than one a day is likely to make one pass out. We don’t have any proof for or against the side effects of creating a fountain, because the only time that a character has created one on screen is Kris, and we don’t know what they’re gonna be like after waking up
Though otherwise, I like the idea of there being more than one Knight. I think that trying to extrapolate it out to a whole seven knights is a _bit_ much, but I do agree that the fandom is very held up on there just being one guy:tm:

@@cammyboig ya i was probably too harsh lol, i tend to be like that
@@cammyboig oh btw, someone granted a small fief with no vassals of there own, depending on where your talking about, would be a baron.

I wonder if Deltarune is supposed to be some kind of simulation created by Gaster for The Underground.

It would fit in with the theme of escapism.

this is, imo, the only way having an undertale character as "the knight" is compelling. like, ok, _maybe_ i could put up with papyrus or burgerpants as the knight for _one_ chapter lol.
i've had multiknight kicking round my head for a while, mostly because i like that "knight" is such a fun homophone for "night" ie dark world. if ch 3 doesn't start setting up the mayor or alvin or whoever tf else, this theory might have my heart.
super keen to see more from you!!
I genuinly don’t understand how no theorizing youtubers considered this for so long, nice to see the theory finally reaching a bigger audience :D

Can't wait for you to upload that insane burger pants conspiracy. I'm all here for it!
16:16 ONE PIECE!!!!!!!!!!!1!!
i feel like this is the best deltarune theory ive ever listened to . good job ! i look forward to more of your videos
um I think like youtube is displaying your uh sub count, view count, and like count improperly. I think it's taking off a couple zeros.
This is such a kind comment thank you so much 🥺
@@cammyboig video was so well done and blew my mind. you deserve it dude
shocked that this is your first video, it’s extremely entertaining 😭
yeah this is a really great video. chapter 2 has been out for so long that it's hard to find videos that actually bring completely new ideas. the evidence makes sense and i really love how you're forming your own conclusion based on evidence and not going off of preconceived ideas created by the fanbase. it's honestly weird how so many people treat this as some kind of murder mystery and try to find who the knight is, i always assumed that the knight was just a person who creates dark fountains, and may or may not reveal themselves in later chapters. but this is a nice fresh idea that makes sense while also taking other theories into account.
you got a sub from me and im excited to see what else you're doing in the future, im always happy to see new deltarune theorists exploring this game
this just changed the way i see deltarune holy shit. not just because of the knight theory, ive had similar ideas in my brain for a while, the noelle thing + the weird route being more focused on the metanarrative make SO MUCH SENSE
my theory was similar, that "the knight" is more of a concept, but i never thought much into it and this is everything i could've asked for
side note a really funny idea to me is that berdly made the cyber world by accident because he got frustrated and stabbed his pencil into the table or something. talk about concentrating determination into a sharp implement amirite
Went to see your other videos....holy moly I was not expecting this to be a "first video," it's incredible!!!
Burgerpants potentially making his own dark world certainly fits with the Ice-e teases that keep happening
Dang this video is underrated. Excellent production quality. Also probably the most likely theory video I've ever seen
Compelling argument! Especially the 'Angel's Heaven'
The idea that the Knight could be multiple people and be the 'Night' ushering in the dream world where our eyes are closed is something I'd considered in passing.
@@DakNJaxter your squeaky hammer theory is choice 👌
I just wanted to say that you weird little round persona is so charming, I love all the little sprites you made for this video! Excited to see your channel grow :)
31:48 the "hungry knight" sounds better imo, and references beloved indie games too!
