You make mistakes in every facet of life. I don't think I've ever come across a person who is so self entitled, up their own back side and utterly wrong in every way.

Yup, totally misguided to put it nicely. Doesn’t understand many things, least of all how to ride properly. This video is new nugget - apparently motorcycles have either 1 swingarm or 2 swingarms 😆

2 hours too far? If I restricted my old bike purchases to an hours range then I would never find anything interesting. I often travel 6-8 hours each way, but will try and get them delivered if thats an economic option.

Ive got a 955 Centennial with 17k on the clocks , lovely bike but make sure you upgrade the wiring from the reg/rec to the stator and wack an r1 regulator on or it might go on fire like mine, use a trolly jack under the suspension linkage with the sidestand down , solid as a rock doing chain or taking wheel off 👍

Although we don't have CT (mot) in France, us bikers keep up the maintenance & look after our bikes. Kids on scooters not so much.

Nice video with some really useful info. One thing is bothering me, what is the part (from around 10:00 to 11:15 in the video) that's very shiny and appears to be unscrewing itself as you ride along?

I had one of the last ones ever made. It was fabulous. I wrote it off on the Black Mountain road in south Wales. Never been so gutted . With a race can she absolutely sings.

Small critique - move your helmet camera upwards a little. Looking at the tank/handlebars instead of the road makes me dizzy, lol.

‘The bike never seems to wheelie on camera’ Yeah sure, I bet you’re a real Evel Knievel behind closed doors. 1-wheelies are not cool and 2 - it’s even less cool when you’re totally incompetent. It’s probably down to the lack of ‘a double swingarm’ 😆 Damn these manufacturers only fitting one swingarm to a bike.

I have a SSSA, replaqced it w/ 2nd generation SSSA "short" from the 2008~2010 Speed Triple. The 2006-2007 Daytona 955i came w/ this SSSA the last year it was produced. The swingarm is bulkier w/ a carved out "scallop" in the slab side. Mine power wheelied w/ stock gearing, both swingers, although it wheelies easy peasy w/ new gearing and shorter length swingarm, wheelies better when you jab the front brake lever, compress the forks, then whack the throttle open .... "Shakey" Byrne's wheelie of choice.. The owner MUST gear it down.. try a 17T up front.which is -1. won't cost him a new chain.. but thats not going to be enough, go +3 to 45T rear sprocket.. which I believe will still take the stock length link chain..Rotate your eccentric fully forward..if he were to replace BOTH sprox, he should go w/ a 520 chain sprocket kit.. , 530 is fine, but heavier .. that said, mine power wheelied easy stock gearing ...

The mistake was that you didn't buy a 2006 and up.
    They're so much better.
2hrs distance for pick up isn't much.

Same same except for clutch cover -which is a straight swap, internally same except the ball bearing detent arm and detent wheel aka 'star' wheel which are easy to replace and cheap .. I went a step better, replaced my entire shift internals w/ a new Sprint 1050 "linear" parts, a new detent star wheel, ball bearing detent arm, associated parts all from the Sprint 1050.. about $100 pop the clutch cover off, remove the shift star wheel, detent arm, a spring, and install the new linear parts.. shitfs like BUTTER !!.. the 2nd gen SSSA cost me $90 plus paint match black ..If you go w/ the 2nd gen swinger, you can buy rear huggers in carbon, same w/ upper and lower chain guards whih also need to be replaced if you swap out the swinger.... I did it for aesthetics only, but holy shit does it handle far better w/ the new shorter 2nd generation SSSA.
