If you buy a used bike, you should do a full fluid change, because you don't know when they last changed fluids. Oil, coolant, clutch fluid, and brake fluid, along with checking or replacing pads, and check the rotors. Clean, lube and check chain tension. Basically just assume it has never had any maintenance at all done, and do it all yourself.
What’s your take on “Break in Period” I’m very curious on your opinion as my new 2025 Ninja 650 is on the way and it’s my first Brand New bike Love the videos by the way!
RTFM

These growls are deep <3
100 percent agree with everything you say in this video.
I think 2002 CBR1100XX’s HP is 152 ps,perhaps.
Well this isn't anything particularly new. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Motorcycle City / Carnell were a huge national chain of multi franchise dealerships, who went under in 2002. Exactly 10 years later, another massive concern, George White went the same way and boy will I always remember the day they closed their doors. My local branch had my bike in for warranty work and getting it back was like getting water out of a stone. So this seems to happen every 10 years or so and every time the same theories are shouted. "Ageing demographic, no young riders, bikes too expensive, too difficult for new riders to get licences", blah blah blah. It's nothing new, just that you younger riders don't look at things from a historical perspective. The motorcycle industry has always been like this. Peaks and troughs. When we see the actual manufacturers ceasing production then there'll be cause for concern. Yes Harley Davidson are struggling but that has more to to with evolving trends than no-one out there to buy bikes. The market is simply resetting itself as has happened many times in the past, so no need for the Doom and Gloom
as rider whos 6'7-6'8 i love the ZX-14R it sits so much more comfortable for me then any other sports bike
This is why not to buy an ex demo bike!!
I have no idea how to operate a motorcycle and always thought it's a difficult thing to learn but this video is amazing.. Thinking if I should get that motorcycle license now 😂
How do you switch front to back with your camera.
just purchased a 2002 with 15000km on it i cant seem to change it to miles, near mint bike im 3rd owner 2k
Bought mine new in 2000 off the show floor still have it 24k on the clock its titanium havent done much to it other than aftermarket cam chain tensioner dropped ride hight just a smidgen and put a hair dryer on it bike is like ridding a jet engine its very smooth but very hard acceleration and its not a me too bike which is nice as well. That being said there are alot of top notch bikes out there these days and myself i would like to get a newer Vmax to puts around on as well
Motorcycle industry now self destroying itself just like the British segment did in the late sixties, early seventies by forgetting the customer is always right and what they can afford but also justify spending
Have an 02 centennial, dropped a tooth on the gearing and has the massive midrange map using the tune ECU software. Makes a huge difference. Unfortunately it makes a big difference to the fuel economy as well, in a bad way though.
Interesting comment about the 15K miles mark on how long these engines lasts. If there is a full service history and the engine had its regular oil change done, there is no reason why that engine cannot last a lot longer than that. I sold my sh125 for £1300. It was 4 years old and it had 65k miles on it. 😂. No weird sound, no problems. Had the head steering bearings changed after 30k. The bike was obviously going full throttle all the time. I also don’t agree with the Chinese makes anymore. They’ve come a long way and if you just going to put on a couple of thousands miles practice and sell it, you might be all right. I tested a Zontes and a Benelli at the ABR this year and they really aren’t that bad. They come with crash protection as standard. Yes, I wouldn’t keep them as a long term commuter bike either, trying to put 65k miles on them 😂, but if you need a bike to practise on and you know you’ll get a bigger one soon then a Voge, Zontes or Benelli can be an option as well.
Boy do i love zx14s but that one piece seat gotta go. I can't buy another one until they change it
Just hate that stupid 180 parallel twin It shouldnt sound like this
Too much chit chat BS about nothing
Zx9r
These 6 reasons apply to most bikes minus the weight these to me are not reasons merely just points
So... Would you say this is closer in spirit to the CBR650R or the CBR600RR?
When ninja 125 will be launch in India ??
Nice one for this. Wish i were there bro 🤘
Do we really need to avoid the highway because i have a tunnel where i can't go through bc of an rule and we need to take the highway to be able to go to antwerp. Greetings from Belgium
Perfect, Wonderful Demonstration.. Happy New Years Brother God Bless
Thank you. As someone who is a complete novice on motorcycles this is an excellent video. I feel more confident merely watching this video lol
Excellent video.
I'm confused why it wouldn't work on carburetted bikes? 😮
I’ve had both, I love both those bikes but the gen 2 is quite a bit nicer ride, the standard suspension is considerably better let alone a version equipped with the Ohlins/Brembo upgrades. The motor is considerably healthier on the gen 2 but the gen 1 is no slouch and I really like the look of the gen 1 but I fell in love with the gen 2 and lastly the seat on the gen 2 I found to be quite a bit more comfortable.
Why r u saying one two five? Just say 125
Plus I love the v4 your at 140 redline in 6th release the throttle and lean into It again and it will keep climbing some don't know that the v4 revs fast but you can let off and it's like getting 7th gear
I loved My rc36 vfr 750 done by Honda racing had bored jetted and full yosh exhaust with 10k red line top speed of 158 but in 6th on highway at 130 crack the throttle ful your taking A 180 17 tire and it's breaking I literally hsd warmed my perelli track tire up sides to and on 95 in Maryland hov lane 155 I Left a black line when I pulled her
Erm you're saying a faulty kill switch is nothing to worry about - until that day you need a burst of speed to avoid disaster and the faulty switch decides it's going to change its mind again. As it's probably a very simple fix it seems unwise to wave it off as unimportant. Your "universal" checks are more relevant to the buyer who intends riding home. The value of a bike is so condition/model dependant there is no substitute for research. I do think you have something to offer the less experienced but you flirt with the recieved rather than earned knowledge conundrum. This is normally obvious when people suffer from verbal runnaway and talk themselves into corners that the real world refuses to agree with.
I had a tuono V4 amazing bike, i feel like the MT10 is better on the streets but i feel like it might lack that "something" that the tuono has, not saying is a bad bike but tuono is by far one of the best bikes i've ridden and owned, really fun but pain to ride at slower speeds, also i'm worried about tank width, tuono was really thin, just like any other V2, slim, great, the MT10 feels beefy. Have you riden both? What are your thoughts? ( i have a Honda NC750X DCT for commuting, so this would be my second-fun bike for when i want to go hot to work ).
Test rode 1 last month , ended up ordering the 636
you need to try the yamaha fjr1300 - seriously underrated bike! then you've tried the full set!
Just seen your video, thankfully Kawasaki have proved you wrong as the ZX15R is now coming. Looking forward to trying that out see if the emissions rules has strangled its power.
can be caused by engine power from 125 cc to 182
Doesn't ZH2 have quick shifter? Why are you using clutch to shift? I'm just curious, quick shifter not that good? Thanks for the video!
It’s the “Zed” X 1400R in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, basically every English speaking country except the U.S 😏
incrideble explanation my brorhter.
im 5foot 8 will i flatfoot it
Mate, "rpm" is already in plural. RevolutionS per minute. There's no "rpms". Ride safe.
There not , my 750 easily quicker than my 600 PERIOD !!
I daily a ZX-9R E1 but this generation of the ZX-10R (Gen 6?)is growing on me. Worth an upgrade? I'm thinking of a custom colour scheme though!
I'm nearly 70 most od the lads I ride with are younger than me, but not by much. You only have to look around at bike meets to see the demographic. Its all older riders with few young faces. FAced with anti goverment sentiment on both sides of the aisle, rising costs, diminishing disposable income. It is easy to determine the direction things are going in. It helps explain why classic motorcycles are falling in value. Rider's of a certain age are leaving this earthly abode with nobody behind them.
Hello……..I did my CBT on a twist and go about 7 months ago but 2 weeks ago treated myself too a brand new Honda CB125R.. having never ridden a geared bike before coming across this channel that I have been referring back to daily has been an absolute absolute godsend… between my father-in-law and you guys two weeks in on my new bike and I’m feeling very comfortable on the road… really appreciate you guys taking the time to do what you do with these videos..👌🏼 Merry Christmas and a happy new year 🎄🎉🙏🏼
what if you are in an expressway? you probably gonna die
My Suzuki is 40 years old and has 3 disk brakes, , full floater suspension, four valves to each of 4 cylinders, anti dive forks and four carbies .... 400cc ..... air cooled and lives in hot Australia ....The half faring can be dangerous on windy days due to the lightness of the bike blowing the bike sideways. A naked bike is best for bikes less than the weight of a 500cc
