    When your spearman get close find a slight elevation change if available, spread them out in a line, and stand still for the +10 vs charging units. Let the bandits come to you, then as soon as the bandit's moral starts dropping order your spearman to push forward.
    I took my 20 spearman and cleared 4 bandit camps without losing a single man in one shot. Afterwards run your troops back to town then disband them. Hope this helps.

    PRO TIP: First thing you do is upgrade the tents to workers camp. It gets rid of the homeless negative. It also makes each family of 2 become a family of 3. If you build homes right away you'll get families moving into the settlement the 2nd month. Also make an area for 90-100 market stalls framed by roads BUT only build 3 stalls. Just make sure you make sure it gets 1 of each of the 3 types. You just demolish the repeat type each time until you get the 3. Reassign the families running them to the granary and storehouse. This way all production buildings have working families NOT wasting them on the stalls.

      @@TheOnlyL0nzY I keep running into issues with traders either not selling my goods. I had a ton of veggies and some iron slab and it didn't sell them even though it showed a trade guy at the end of the line. Also just had the hunters not work properly with the policy and the double meat. I hope the stuff I've been running into gets solved in patches.

    • @Potent_Techmology

      Could you please explain the 1 of 3 types? Is it RNG or you can't select a stall to be built?

    • @ETWL897
      @ETWL897 7 месяцев назад +4

      @@Potent_Techmology Sure, no problem glad to help. The 3 types of stalls in the market are; Fuel, Food, Clothing. They are built by the AI after you lay down the marketplace. Just pay attention to what's being built by highlighting it. If a duplicate stall starts being built demolish it (the duplicate stall only) right away and repeat until you have 1 of each. YOU DON'T WANT YOUR PRODUCTION FAMILIES RUNNING STALLS. YOU'RE LOSING PRODUCTION THAT WAY. MAKE THE GRANARY AND STOREHOUSE FAMILIES RUN THE STALLS. You can see the family who built it's work assignment by clicking the people. If they are assigned to another building reassign them to the granary (if it's a food stall) or the storehouse (fuel and clothing).Then simply reassign another family to the building where they were from. If it's a plot with veggies or an orchard I assign them to the hitching post or stable them remove them from the building, thus freeing them to farm. You can simply repeat the process for each set of three as you expand your settlement size. If you're spreading out a bunch from the location where you have the market area, you can place some sets of 3 in outside wings of your expansion. Just remember to build a granary and storeroom near each new market area of 3 stalls. Then you move the people running them into the storeroom or granary. I hope this helps, please feel free to reach out for any other questions as I've played a bunch and do love it, even with the bugs and stuff.

    granary and storage near the market... and always and i mean ALWAYS
    to have at least one person into Granary and one into Storage.. they will serve
    as market stalls and keep those houses full all the time.. and don't build farms

    Sorry but this video contains a lot of bad advice, especially if you plan on moving to the challenging difficulty or doing some of the harder achievements like merc only. The worst advice by far is making double housing plots and making them first. Always make single homes with a workshop in the back. Farming and gathering in this game is terribly inefficient at best and unnecessary and as a result the entire farming and gathering skill trees are very bad and a waste of points. Unless you're doing a no trade challenge I highly suggest using a trade rush strategy.
    Heres the build order I recommend: Granary (temp assign 1 to bring in starting supplies), Storage (same as granary), Lumber Camp (assign 2), Hunters Lodge, Forager hut, woodcutting camp, assign 1 villager to each. When you have 10 wood pull one villager out from the lumber camp and build 5 single family plots with workshops in the back. After that's done build a sawpit and get 20 planks so you can build a church. Build a well. Build 5 more housing plots with worshops. Build a tannery and a trade post.
    At this point you should have 10 houses up with all their needs fufilled and 1 person in the forager hut, hunters lodge, woodcutters lodge, tannery, and trade post. Use 25 of your 50 starting gold to buy 1 goat extension and the other 25 to open a trade route for leather. As your population comes in start assign people back to the lumber camp and the granary/storage. Order to unlock traits: Trade Logistics, Charcoal Kiln, Better Deals. Sell the leather, charcoal, and excess berries for absolutely massive early game cash and use that cash to get yourself more goat plots (we're going up to around 35 eventually) and more oxes (I recommend getting 3-4 oxes and 2 horses. Once you get around 10-12 villagers you can start thinking about starting weapons production.
    If you get a good map and follow this build order by the time you get your first bandit raid on challenging you should have a full 36 unit batallion of spears. By the time the first baron raid comes you should have a little under 3 batallions of spears. You will need to hire mercs for the first baron fight in challenging mode. Normal mode you can progress much more quickly.

    • @khure711

      1 thing I think most people miss is not building the sawpit first. Build planks, upgrade hitching post get second ox, then begin building out as you said. By getting a second ox you build your town faster because the ox isn’t forced to work entirely in the lumber camp allowing you to build everything else.
