Nice setup...I wouldn't give up on that GoXLR yet, huge community out there working on providing users with stuff. I'll second the Elgato stuff, the Stream Deck +; I have 2 of them, is awesome. My RE20 is hooked up to a Wave XLR and controlled by one the SD +. I also have 2 XL's and 2 15's. Love Elgato, makes things so much easier. I'm not a gamer but rather a news reporter so my setup is much more geared towards collecting information. Your audio is very good, mic sounds nice. Good luck! Solid setup.

I am happy that since posting this video, I have learned that there are efforts to continue the lifespan of this device. And to your point, elgato devices have made every workflow in streaming easier. They don't miss. I'm more optimistic on the goxlr now, but we'll see how things turn out in future!
Finally someone tells the truth about single PC streams while using OBS. The fact that you still keep FPS about 100 and your GPU is a 3070ti proves it can be done and you don't need the 4080 or 4090 to do so. I also agree the Shure mic is a great mic I don't see the need to upgrade it at all your audio quality is spot on. Rhode procaster seems to be the most logical choice on the replacement for the GoXlr but that's all depending on you budget. I still wonder how long before the GoXlr bricks better have a replacement on hand.
The videos online with 4090s as single PC do seem a bit out of touch. I did buy my 3070ti prior to the release of the 40 series graphics cards. But i didn't buy a 3090 because i didn't think it would be necessary. And so far (knocks on wood), the 3070ti has been great! Of course 4080 and 4090 would have better performance, but they are not the requirement in 2024. I have fallen in love with the Shure MV7 but still can't stop looking longingly at the SM7dB. I have seen some comments on this video indicating the GoXLR will have some level of support, but to your point, I don't want to be caught flat-footed if it is bricked.
Can you do a video explaining your OBS settings for streaming that you use, and also in game WZ graphic settings? Im having a hard time streaming and gaming on my rtx 3060 without the encoder being laggy. Pls and thanks.

Curious SJ, how do you keep the Hue lights from flickering on camera. That's one of the biggest issues I've had in considering what to get for ambient lighting. Both Hue and NanoLeaf have some really bad PWM flicker in a camera.

you learn real quick on the disadvantages off owning a isngle cd i went full dual pc setup because one i also do lets plays series off stream when i am not streaming i still play games . two i keep running out of space no matter how many 1 tb drives i buy i have like 3 1 tb drive and one 2 tb drive in my main rig i still ran out of space .so i even got external hdd i got tired of that now i jsut dont run out of space since i use dual pc setup and i can play my games on max setting i know the down sides of streaming pc . because i started on a single pc setup . hell i started streaming on a console on my ps4 and xbox one on twitch then i upgraded too my pc then i got a AVerMedia live gamer portable 2 plus 4k capture then i upgrade too my dual pc setup with the elgato hd 60 pro then later i got a elgato hd 60 pro mk2 2.0 hdmi one not the new one for rthe ps5 and series x yet the 2.1 one . i got the 2nd gen 4k 60 pro mk2 not the 3rd gen yet plus my stream would crash if i used too much stuff
Aye I appreciate that! The frames vary, but I experience the frames dropping into the 90s from time to time. I think these games have become more taxing to play over the years.
Dual PC is best if you game on one PC and stream from the other. But if you game on a console, you can stream from a single PC as well. I game and stream from same PC but the overall performance is affected.
Love the setup and video. Your audio sounds great. That is the struggle i have with a usb mic. What mic boom arm are you using? I need a low profile like that.

If I was using a webcam, the capture card would not be needed. The capture card is needed to convert the HDMI inlut to a USB input, but typical webcams already have USB input. I hope this helps clarify!
Stream Deck's only being used for scene changing... and the GoXLR Mini's slowly losing support... and I also see there's no real space to add console gameplay should u need it... *Rode Streamer X breathing heavily in the corner right now*
Several of the buttons I used to use on stream deck have been outsourced to my Envision controller and foot pedal. I do have macros I will use from time to time but not often enough. GoXLR support has been something I am keeping an eye on. Rode is definitely a company I am looking at for potential upgrades LOL
i have the streamdeck + with the wavelink software i run it with a 2 pc setup to me its better then the goxlr chack it out to replace the goxlr only thinik u will need to go is get the elgato wave XLR to run the XLR mic
i'll have to look into it a bit more. I do know elgato is a powerhouse when it comes to all-things streaming. Only heard good things about their audio solutions.

what encoder are you using? what is you output set at 1080 or 720p ....what platform are you streaming to Twitch, Kick, RUclips or TicTok?

Bro love the video. I have a 3060ti and from time to time when I stream I have frames around 60-80 and everything feels sluggish.
