Darksiders 2 Is A Perfect Sequel

- The Darksiders universe of games is dark, gritty, and full of styling on your enemies. I believe that Darksiders II is a perfect follow-up to the first game in the franchise. Let's take a look as to why I think that!

I love the Darksiders franchise! Here’s hoping Darksiders 4 gets announced soon!
Looks like you got your wish!
INDEED!!! Can't wait to see literally anything on it now lol
@@megamadvladr it damn well better be Strife’s solo game, ma boi is long overdue for his time to shine.
If the title has a 4 in it, there's like a 99% chance it's Strife's solo game. Definitely curious to see how they make him play lol
Darksiders 1 - hack n' slash
Darksiders 2 - action rpg
Darksiders 3 - soulslike
Darksiders is one of my absolute favorite franchises. Thanks for bringing more attention to this fantastic franchise.
I love the Darksiders world so much! Here’s hoping Darksiders 4 gets announced this year
Jesper Kyd's soundtrack elevates this game to a whole other level
Oh absolutely! I love going back to RUclips and listening to it from time to time.
One think i believe u got wrong about possessed weapons is that the stats arent random but are chosen form the stats of the weapons/gear u feed to the possessed weapon the only problem is out of all the stats u only get an option between 4 of those stats, i also dont remember if the stats overwrite by the order u feed it to the weapon, i havent played the game in so long but i remember doing experiments with possessed weapons to get a perfect weapon aka crit chance, crit dmg, life steal, wrath steal.
Oh interesting. I was under the impression the stat choices were from a randomized pool attached to each weapon.
I believe that if you sacrifice a weapon that shares an enchantment in the possessed weapon, during the weapons level up the value of that enchantment is increased a bit more then usual.
Very good video my dude, you have my like and subscription!
Thank you!
I love the ascetic and art style of the game, there is nothing like it, old GoW was close to it, I pray that we will get Darksiders 4 and it will be more like 1&2 instead of 3.
Edit: Death is not as in game strong as he always is because main restriction of power for darksiders is seals, reason why War was so strong in the beginning of Darksiders one because seals was broken and repaired. Also his power was sealed by council while Death's was not, thus is the reason for leveling.
The way I understand it is that all the Horsemen aren't full strength until all the Seals are destroyed. That said, War was depowered at the very beginning, whether or not he was at peak strength right before that is up for debate.
Death didn't get depowered in the same manner. The only things we could say that helped Death to get stronger was the other gear he could use for traversal and the like. I'm not sure it's enough to say he got stronger in the game, but I'm not against the idea either. I just saw the leveling system as a gameplay choice rather than a story choice lol
10:08 That's why you do it like you show it there: Dodge twice, then run for 1-2 steps to reset the dodge counter.
Exactly why I moved like that for most of the playthrough lol
The reason I thought Death had to collect items and level up because he wasn't given the complete ok to start his quest. Plus, the seal wasn't broken so his god like power wasn't available to him. He had to collect items and experience in order to survive his 100-year quest.
There may be a few interpretations for that with all being valid. I saw it from a story vs gameplay perspective.
A great example would be the OG God of War Trilogy. Kratos is so strong he can push titans back with his pure strength alone, yet he'll struggle with pushing a gate. The concept behind that was, sure Kratos was overpowered to all hell, but that would make for a boring game if everything was paper and cardboard to him.
Such an underrated game
I loved it lol
I really feel like the last 2 worlds (the angel and demon worlds) were a bit short and was going to have a more flushed out open worlds like the 1st 2
The original thq plan was to give a base story on each horseman then have all the horseman bring down the charred council with the alliances they made along the way (Samuel, Azrael, Ulthane, Uriel etc.) and bring back Humanity (Darksiders 3 when they were taken away to a safe place)
Just one of the reasons I’m looking forward to Darksiders 4! Strife is the only odd one out now. Also curious to see what they do for his gameplay
@@megamadvladr I think strife was going to be a bit like devil may cry when the 1st 2 came out but I think it's going to feel like strife in genesis the 4 things I would like to know is
1 what what type of new game plus system they're going to use for him
2 what is his abyssal armour going looks like
3 the style fighting they use
And 4 how he is going to regain health
Each one is unique in each game
Theses games are unique and interesting I would like a DS4
DS3 and Genesis really take the series through a different turn. I have little doubt DS4 will be a thing in the future, but definitely curious what they do with the gameplay in it.
War, Death, and Fury are melee attackers. Strife uses firearms. Gonna be interesting to see what they do
pretty good vid i hope u continue makin videos like this :3
Thank you! That’s the plan since I enjoy it too much lol
Darksiders 2 one of the best game ever
I like more of the first one but 2 is also good
I loved this game and the lore and the franchises so much. I was sooo disappointed in 3 and the other game that come out after. None of the other 3 horse men were anywhere a near as god a character as death was
I really liked War as well as Death, though I will say that all the stuff I know about Death is not only a bit more interesting, but I feel there's more to show off with him.
Fury is definitely different, never beat 3 but I'll be fixing that at some point lol
And Strife seems pretty cool from what I had time to play in Genesis.
All in all, I want Darksiders 4 lol
@@megamadvladr I’m selfish I want darksiders 4 as well but I want it as a legitimate sequel to 2 and play as death again
It'll more than likely be Strife's solo game if anything. After that, Darksiders 5 I would expect it to finally push past the ending of 1, where you have access to all 4 Horsemen.
All speculative of course, as nothing's been announced yet.
Darksiders 2 is my least favorite of the outstanding franchise. Too many of the quests are "find 3 of this thing" and there's even one of those INSIDE of another collect 3 quest. I disliked the dialogue wheel concept, as it was pretty unnecessary. You ultimately end up going through all the dialogue options, so I think it would have been better to just let the characters have a cutscene conversation (like War and Samaels chats in the first game -so much melodrama).
I love the series, but while I love the story of 2, the gameplay can be pretty tedious
First
The lore deepens
