Also all the ships instrumentation in the background were Tektronix TM series test and measurement mainframe units containing oscilloscopes, frequency counters, function generators and multimeter plugins.
I liked that they tried to create displays that showed information about what was going on. I know it’s TV but a lot of effort was put into this show. The Galatica Bridge set was just amazing for a TV show.
What I liked about these episodes is that the Colonials finally went on the offensive. I know Adama was manoeuvred into it by Cain but it was the right call. They’ve been hunted for months and they took out a base, two base stars and at least incapacitated a third. They totally caught the Cylons off guard.
Adama was tied to a civilian fleet that could only go as fast as the slowest ship in the convoy whereas Cain Was operating independently & able to be more aggressive in his tactics. They need both warships to keep the remaining humans safer.
Liked when the Cylons we're surprised the vipers were heading directly for their superior forces, then surprised again when the Pegasus didn't stop to engage them. It's so interesting that Caine planned strategy on what he thought Baltar would do vs what the Cylons would do,(break off the attack on Pegasus to go back toward Galactica, then turning them back again to save himself.
I know they keep re-using footage for the space battles in this show, but it gets kind of nice. I tend to catch myself thinking “hey, it’s that shot!” pretty often.
I've grown to appreciate their creativity in finding new ways to use (stretch) the shots they had. Even when it comes to writing scenes to fit within the limitations of the shots.
Unless you watch it a lot you don't really notice the editing. It was mostly recycled shots most of the time - however the editing was so good you didn't notice.
Good thing that Sheba's father was able to control himself when he found out that this only daughter got shot by a Cylon fighter and would've been killed if Apollo hadn't saved her in time. Otherwise, he would've gone out of his mind.
Cain does lead from the front. And he also flew on the tanker mission to destroy instead of capture the Cylon tankers, so Adama would have to agree to Cain's plans.

In was in THAT instant when Lucifer realized just EXACTLY how RUTHLESS and BRUTAL Commander Baltar actually TRULY was. Granted, AFTER that particular dialog exchange Lucifer STILL tried to goad Commander Baltar, and STILL used a sarcastic tone, but NOT as much as Lucifer had done BEFORE. In my opinion, those couple seconds of silence were essentially Lucifer thinking to himself "Ooohh SHIT!! MAYBE I should tone down my sarcastic remarks". But that's just my own personal opinion.
