I can't say that I can offer any other particular tips as I've never consciously tried to look taller. I do or have done most of the seven that you mention but just because I have always done so and it is part of my ingrained personality. The one thing that is difficult for me is the fitting clothes. I fluctuate so I usually try to find something a little in between--that is, not overly baggy but not exactly form fitting either. And I never close any jacket or blazer etc. As for pants/jeans unless I have to have a belt, twine or another layer (like jogging pants etc.) under to help hold them up better or I will be tugging them up constantly and I see where that does make a person look shorter with baggy or droopy pants. Boots are usually something like the second pair you showed or military style deck boots and last time I thought about it they probably add at least 1.5 inches if not a little more.

Bonus Tip: Buy your boots half a size up (I am a size 10.5 so I buy a size 11) and then add an insole for added height and to fix your posture Edit: I invest in a redwing insole. They're hard and made for your feet type but they can be pricy
The Monochromatic look doesnt work if you are fat. You'll want to wear something to break up the outline otherwise you'll look like a pool table walking around. Horizontal stripes will make you look taller and not as fat but thats been out of fashion since the 80s. Really, these tips only work if you have a normal or low BMI.
I think I'd agree that "every inch counts" if you're starting from say...5'7. If you're 5'2 on the other hand, you might as well just wear what makes you feel comfortable because another 2-3 inches aren't going to make much difference at that point.
Oh wow good thing I couldn't find a tall coat that pleases me, but when I wear my over the knee coat I get a lot of compliments, especially from older women, calling me elegant.

I learned that it doesn't matter if we look taller to attract women. No matter how physically fit we are and how stylish we dress some women my compliment our style (like some women do to me) but still see nothing but height and just say things like "I wish you were taller". I've heard so many compliments from women talking to each other about how hot I am and how I dress nice but the following comment I over hear is "He's too short". I deepley appreciate Courtneys effort in suppoprting shorter men though.
She did videos in the past about how height doesn’t really matter. Now she does a video about how to look taller; lol… This implies that height is important
Yeah, because that's what people want to hear and I think she is a very good natured person so would like to promote an idea that we'd all like to believe. Unfortunately so far, reality and life experience has shown evidence to the contrary. (I'm speaking as a 5'4 man.)
What she is saying is that height shouldnt be the most important thing. But make no mistake, height matters to her and every woman. Dont be mad at women for being women. She actually measured her husband with and without boots. It matters.
Boots are great for organically adding height, but if you want a slightly more covert approach, you could opt for elevator shoes that have inserts inside the shoe rather than at the bottom of the sole. Of course the caveat with this is that you might be perceived as insecure once you take them off since it will be a noticeable change. In terms of perception, two people of the same height can actually look shorter or taller depending on their anatomical proportions. If you have longer legs and a shorter torso, you'll appear taller than if you had a longer torso and shorter legs, for example. "Every inch counts." A lot of women share the same sentiment, Courtney. ;)
My friends son works on satges for Hollywood and he was shocked when the directors had Tom Crusi in high sole foot wear and stand on boxes during scenes. He told he mom saying "Mom, Tom Cruise is like the greatest actor in the world and the make him stand on a box during scens in the movies he is in" It's like our society looks down on taller women dating shorter men or something.
Hey Courtney, there were some ads I got on other videos that used deepfakes made from your videos to market some garbage tutorial thing for men… if you find any of those, I suggest getting them taken down.
So hey Courtney! Hope your trip is going well. I'm "Hollywood Actor Height", so I tend to take a few tips from their wardrobe managers. I definitely agree with the fitted look. One of the tricks that I have learned from wardrobe managers, is "lining" the look; if it's colder outside, and the material is thinner, one of the tricks is to "line" the legs, so that your legs look fuller. This also works with denim. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't skip leg day. But compression pants for men actually keep things surprisingly neat. Boots: So, since you've mentioned boots a few times, I've went on a boot spree. One boot that I don't hear about often (but enjoy, is the Goral Sharman. It does increase height, but they're a pair of boots that feel like sneakers. And the quality of stitch and leathers are amazing. And this is coming from a person who gets Frye boots sent to him regularly from ABG. Hairstyles - I really agree with this. I like going between "The Ivy League", and "comb-over fade". It keeps the hair neat, while also allowing for height on a "comb back". And? If you want a slightly messy look? It also allows for "Asian Messy" to occur, as well. Either way, given my hair style, it can add an easy half inch to an inch (depending on how much of the "chop" or "layer" I ask for, depending on season). One more thing... I originally balked at the idea of corduroys, but am giving it a shot. I have to admit, I was wrong about it. Thanks for the suggestion. I think I now have a little over two dozen layered pieces that are corduroy. 🙂
@@CourtneyRyan I'm actually six feet tall, so I don't think that I can dress to look shorter, even if I wanted to. I'll take the advice, but I don't have to follow it. Thank you.
Just an FYI. Just came back from a cruise. Did not use the same shoes I was measured for. Therefore sui pants looked a little short. Great tip with soles if shoes and adding insoles but need to know how your pants are measured!?
Women shouldn’t be shaming men on their height and more people need to be calling them out on it and shame them instead! Heightism is just as bad as racism and sexism!
This video was better than most because you physically held up clothes you wanted to give us an example instead of proving pictures. This would be great in your fashion videos because we get a better feel of what they look like. Especially with some close uo shots too
All good points. Except careful about the boots and insoles: If you’re too short, those 2” will be more obvious when she eventually sees you barefoot. They will call your short ass out “wait, how tall are you again?” Or “were you wearing lifts?” While, I have far better success wearing my boots and lifts on dates, whether it’s the third or fifth date, when they figure out your actual height, either you never see them again or you’re short ass is friend zoned. Best way to look tall and be attractive: be tall.
hello courtney ryan and how your own day and night going and have you thought about starting your own podcast for youtube and spotify with your husband and the girls you have in your own videos in the future
Im 5”6 . I just learned to embrace being a short man . Could I workout more yes. Could I dress better sure. However, I don’t care that women like taller girls. I cant change it so I shouldn’t care.
While I appreciate Courtney and her content, at the end of the day if a woman is that shallow to reject you because of your height, then that is every indication that she's not the one for you. Also ladies, the same principle applies if a guy rejects you because your boobs or ass aren't big enough
I have to ask a thing about the hat styles, that you have mentioned Courtney. What do you thing about the style of Humphrey Bogart that you have showed (meaning to ask you when do you think it should be used), Courtney?
my 6' 4" friend explained it like this; to men, a man is short if hes significantly under the average. (usa thats 5' 8") but for women, men are short if they're under 6 feet. and if they're taller than 6' 3" they're classified as 'freakishly tall' by women, and run into the same discrimination short guys get
For real, even in my friend group it’s a mixed bag with the 5’11 guy getting the most dates, after that it’s me (5’6), then the other two guys are 5’10 and 5’8 and have never had a relationship despite looking all the time. Dating is a nuclear wasteland in the modern day.
As someone who is really really tall, height dosen't matter as much as confidence. Plus, if a woman judges you by your height it's not a good sign eitherway.
Absolutely! Some women care and some don’t - I’ve talked about height many times before. This is just a style video and some tips for guys who want it 😊

The height problem is in people's heads. It cannot be corrected with props. Moreover, height is not something to die for. Tall people have a shorter lifespan than the short ones. The taller you are the sooner you die! Basically, every 2 inches after 5 ft 6 inches does cost you at least 1 year of your life. If you are 6 ft 2 inches, you live 4 years less than a 5ft 6 inches person. And it's not like you die in good condition either. Every inch you have requires more cell replication. With every cell replication, the telomere ( the counter for cell replication, stored at the end of the chromosome) decreases. When it reaches the critical length, no more replication! You die! But with every cell replication, ( copy of the copy of the copy) the cell degenerates. So, the taller you are the sicker you get. Personally, I would look for shorter persons to partner with, not the tall ones. Good health is the most attractive feature of any person. Nothing else comes close! I'm 5ft 9 inches. I have never been to a hospital as a patient in 55 years! And I (Gen X) can easily blend with my nephews (Millenials - 6ft and over) without anyone noticing.
Great style video! Anything to boost men’s confidence because TRULY confidence is king.

Gentleman's Gazette is a channel you might enjoy looking into, Courtney, if you haven't found it already. Talks about men's fashion.
Modern problems require modern solutions, thanks for trying to be part of the solution Courtney
Just an FYI. Just came back from a cruise. Did not use the same shoes I was measured for. Therefore sui pants looked a little short. Great tip with soles if shoes and adding insoles but need to know how your pants are measured!?
Good to know. Thanks for the video.
id like to make myself appear shorter
Women shouldn’t be shaming men on their height and more people need to be calling them out on it and shame them instead! Heightism is just as bad as racism and sexism!
Thank you C.R.
Yeah I'm into my woman and future woman Amen, getting there and reading
Taller look isn't the only way to make a good first impression trying to is a good start though... 😊
What were the boots with the “commando sole”? Thursday boots?
This video was better than most because you physically held up clothes you wanted to give us an example instead of proving pictures. This would be great in your fashion videos because we get a better feel of what they look like. Especially with some close uo shots too
All good points. Except careful about the boots and insoles:
If you’re too short, those 2” will be more obvious when she eventually sees you barefoot. They will call your short ass out “wait, how tall are you again?” Or “were you wearing lifts?”
While, I have far better success wearing my boots and lifts on dates, whether it’s the third or fifth date, when they figure out your actual height, either you never see them again or you’re short ass is friend zoned.
Best way to look tall and be attractive: be tall.
I have to wear loose fitting jeans. I have tree trunk thighs so wearing fitting jeans is very uncomfortable. I can leg press over 1100 pounds.
U make the prettiest thumbnails Courtney 🌹🌹🌹
Always good to see a new Courtney video! No Serial Killer.
Great job on the newer video format Courtney! All the visual examples make the video a lot more entertaining and easier to grasp your ideas 👌.
I’m so glad! Thank you 🥰
I'd like some tips on how I can appear longer
hello courtney ryan and how your own day and night going and have you thought about starting your own podcast for youtube and spotify with your husband and the girls you have in your own videos in the future
you heard it here guys. Every inch counts! 😉
Wear a Top Hat, 🎩 Elegance and height in one move.
I'm sorry (not hating at all) but the coat thats going down to that man's ankles is cracking me up 😂
What's your take on cowboy boots?
Im 5”6 . I just learned to embrace being a short man . Could I workout more yes. Could I dress better sure. However, I don’t care that women like
taller girls. I cant change it so I shouldn’t care.
Actually horizontal lines look taller than vertical lines... And it's proven too!!
If you're below 5'8", just wear an oversized hoodie and some 90s JNCO jeans. Lean into it
While I appreciate Courtney and her content, at the end of the day if a woman is that shallow to reject you because of your height, then that is every indication that she's not the one for you. Also ladies, the same principle applies if a guy rejects you because your boobs or ass aren't big enough
Can we get make and model on the boots?
I have to ask a thing about the hat styles, that you have mentioned Courtney.
What do you thing about the style of Humphrey Bogart that you have showed (meaning to ask you when do you think it should be used), Courtney?
Where did you get that top?
as a 5'4 ASIAN MAN = I APPROVE OF THIS VIDEO LMAOOOOO
Why did you laugh at your own comment? Also, find a short Asian chick.
How to look shorter? Would love to hear... I'm always "too tall" for girls
Dr. Martens Jadons. You can dress them up or dress down. Job done.
2 all the short bros out there being tall doesn’t make u more attractive I’m 6 4 and women show 0 interest in me 😢
my 6' 4" friend explained it like this; to men, a man is short if hes significantly under the average. (usa thats 5' 8") but for women, men are short if they're under 6 feet. and if they're taller than 6' 3" they're classified as 'freakishly tall' by women, and run into the same discrimination short guys get
Being tall is not everything. Women find tallness to be an attractive trait however you usually have to be more than just tall.
"Gave him an extra 2inches...in height" lol
I just stand next to short people. Works every time.
Stilts.
8:25 why ?
Friends mom always said everyone’s the same height laying down 🤷🏽♂️
Lol stupid advice moments they find out you lied about your hight they dump you the same i tried this
I thought this about the boots
As a guy who is ignored by women despite meeting the 6 feet 'requisite', I give you my compassion shortkings.
Dating is rough these days.
For real, even in my friend group it’s a mixed bag with the 5’11 guy getting the most dates, after that it’s me (5’6), then the other two guys are 5’10 and 5’8 and have never had a relationship despite looking all the time. Dating is a nuclear wasteland in the modern day.
@@diegobrando6115 Your friends don't account for the billions of men, on Planet Earth.
@@DDD11239 Did I ever say that? I’m giving my personal experience.
Great messages
Those were Teddy's boots weren't they?! When can we see Teddy on your channel again?
As someone who is really really tall, height dosen't matter as much as confidence.
Plus, if a woman judges you by your height it's not a good sign eitherway.
Absolutely! Some women care and some don’t - I’ve talked about height many times before. This is just a style video and some tips for guys who want it 😊
I you're a short king, you're a short king
Hi Courtney, I subbed at proportions. So inspirational you are.
fastest click on a Courtney Ryan video ever
Whats surprising to me Courtney is that Your last Name is My Exact Name Ryan also 😂😂 Keep Up the content i love what your really doing 🔥🔥🔥 Ny first time subscribed to u beautiful
No painful walking is needed either!😅
The channel which was build on men's insecurity,be what you are the real women, that really love you won't care about your height and your bank balance(superficial does that)
All of you guys need to stop complaining and lying to yourselves. I'm around 5'9", with shoes maybe pushing 5'11". I've got no issues with women near my height being interested in me.
Hi Courtney!! It's been so long dear friend. How have you been doing? Anyways since this December i was in the uk to visit my uncle so there i got the opportunity to visit London City as well and i clicked a pic of myself over there in the outfit that youve suggested in your video which you can see in my profile pic. Let me know what you think about it. Give my regards to Teddy and family as well. Take Care.💛💛
No, but the fact remains that women prefer taller men and her channel is devoted to help men who are interested in attracting women.
I wouldn't mind to be shorter im 6'11 and i hate this shit 😂
Gonna start showing up to college in a top hat now 😤
I had no idea courtney was only 5’5 I would’ve guessed 5’9 or something 😂
😂 see what I mean!!
