8:26 “Let’s learn the basics. Oh that’s nice!” And here we have Arin Hanson learning the niceness of tutorials. Don’t startle him, or else he’ll run away from tutorials and never return.
Chanbara (ちゃんばら) is the Japanese word for sword play :) That's why the Onechanbara games are called that. It's a word play using おねえちゃん (oneechan), which means "big sister" and ちゃんばら. Because in that game you play as sisters who fight with swords. In case anyone asked. Which they didn't. I'll see myself out.
@@Bangaudaala In that instance it's being used as something that a fictional character would say, but it isn't used that way irl, and real Japanese people wouldn't say it in that context. Japanese expressions of anger and irritation sometimes use the stomach or head as locations for where the feeling is. Or they use a phrase about these body parts that can be taken to mean having had enough, being full (as in "I've had enough"), or something is rising inside the person, etc. The word for stomach, はら (hara) can be heard in the phrase 腹が立つ (hara ga tatsu) meaning that someone is getting irritated (literally a description of a rising feeling in the stomach). The hara sound can become bara in some words, where it flows better after other sounds, for example in the place name Akihabara. Note that this bara is not the same word as stomach. This one means field. Akihabara means "field of autumn leaves", because that's what it was before Tokyo became the city that it is now. Anyway, that's off topic. The Naruto author is probably using the idea of this real life phrase that uses hara or bara as a basis for Sakura's made up one. I hope that explanation for what hara, changed to bara, might mean when used by Sakura when she's angry :)
I think it's funny that Dan loves sports but is totally unathletic. Arin is so-so about sports but is both competitive and willing to put in the physical effort to compete.
Not sure why but hearing the microphone get smacked, then Dan cry out, then Arin just calmly tell Dan he needs to watch out for the microphone was so freaking funny to me.
I remember it from "Heart of Darkness" (I think that's the title of the game where you play as a kid trying to save his dog in a land of darkness). It was toward the end where they had just gotten the kid's laser gun back and Arin kept dying. Danny is laughing and Arin yells, "Daniel, PLEASE!"
Arin and Dan being engaged in the longest badminton match in the history of badminton almost got out of badminton hand until Dan finally got his shuttlecock to land on Arin's side.
I usually watch these in the evening, but there's something about waking up to a colorful game like this, feels like old Saturday mornings(when that used to be a thing)...feels good man.
