Dan made dave as tall as possible, making shotting the worst stat to invest into, then gave dave only shooting for stats. Making the worst character possible, made a team of only that player, then beat arin with the all star team. You can't make this stuff up man lmao
It’s not that bigs in basketball don’t benefit from being able to shoot it’s that they just almost never could in most of nba history.
The bigger Dave Dave got, the more points shooting cost though. So it was maxed at like 40, and when Lil Tiny bought into shooting, got up to 90. And was still destroyed by Big Double D.

Watching peach doing the slo-mo dunk at the beggining almost made me choke on my drink. Also, Dave knocking the balls out of the hands while having the slamming noise makes it all much better.
Arin plays NBA offense EXACTLY the same way he plays hockey on offense. He either shoots it from WAY too far away or he's clipping into the basket when he shoots.

I never had a GameCube so I didn’t know Mario was in this version until relatively recently. This game slapped so hard!
iirc, the Gamecube versions of many sports games had to include things like this because it was the only system that didn't have online gameplay compared to the PS2 and Xbox
I remember Fight Night Round 2 for Cube came with a copy of Super Punch-Out b/c of the lack of online play

Not only were Mario characters in this, but the Beastie Boys were also playable for some reason.
We must have more of Dave Dave and his team of Dave Daves. Funniest sport episode ever. Only thing that would have made it better if his team name just was Dave and then Dave again. Dan beating Arin without ever using turbo (when Arin clearly is) is also classic. Dan would be dangerous if he could figure out how to really play the game.

right off the bat this felt exactly like those golden iconic gg episodes of the older days, it brought me to tears within 5 minutes, missed these types of games!!

Arin puts all his points into shooting for his character, and then almost exclusive takes 1 point shots while surrounded by a wall of Dave Dave for the entirety of the game. Love it

Ahh, for a second I thought this was Mario Hoops 3v3 or whatever it's called. The basketball game for the DS that was published by Nintendo and developed by Square Enix and had Mario playing basketball with black mages. But this is just as weird, if not weirder.
