That 5 degree angle cut sloping towards the stairs is a good idea. Thank you. I have to wrap an overhead duct in a garage that is above a short run of steps. This is helpful.
Really enjoyed your video! Awesome design! I'm tackling painting the basement staircase and this is going to really help make it a safer and easier project to complete!
your home is beautiful, and I love the use of color on the stairs, the yellow, dark indigo and blue green and the risers and the stair triangle design. just beautiful. very impressed. well done.
Alhamdulilah very powerful seeing a fellow Desi doing this especially a woman. Much respect to you. I'm a man. I am s beginner and nervous doing these sorts of things so seeing a strong woman doing this really encourages me. Thank you.
Thank you for watching! A little bit of nervousness is good, especially in when you are starting out with the power tools. That lets you be more careful while working, which is very necessary.
I like the design but it would be nice if you showed a clearer picture of the finished product from the stair angle so we could see from the bottom of the staircase
I can not add more pictures to the video, but I will try to take better video/pictures for my next videos. I am still learning the tricks of the trade!
Thank you so much…this will a great! I have a question…it looked like there was a 3rd leg on the edge that had the taller legs. I’m not sure what that was. Did it go one step down as just another brace?
I really liked your design! I'd like to make a version of it for a two story foyer/staircase that I'm going to try to do. How tall would you say would still be safe to make the platform? There would be parts where I would likely be standing at around 10-12 feet up. Would that be too much?
This platform is to get a stable footing on the stairs. You will have to use another ladder to stand on top of this platform. But I would not make the platform higher than 4 feet itself. I hope it helps. Good luck with your project.
Hello DIY Home of Mine, This is a great video. I'll going to build the same one. Kindly request to advise exact name & description of two black screw or bolt or nuts - I really don't know how to call it [ you put in the 2 x 4 wood , both are connected to left & right side leg ] which are need to dismantle with hex key. Thanking you in advance for your help in advance.
The hardware is called 'Hex bolts (3/8" thick and about 4 inches long) 1/4-20 bolts and insert nuts'. These can be purchased from any hardware store (Home depot, Lowes etc.)
The video was mostly helpful. However I really wish you woulda posted the actually instructions and all the tools and equipment needed. I ended up figuring it out after watching the video a bunch of times and it came out great. But it took me a lot longer then your video to build it because of not knowing exactly what I needed to build it.
Nice job! Where are the directions on paper to build this at? I would like to print them. As I am going to hang bead and board on my basement stairs and need to build this to help me with ladder too. Thank You! J.
I meant The directions to put the parts together, attached to the the platform, just in case someone else is using it other than me, so they should know how to put it together. I can email you those directions, if you want. Or if you need any other information, then let me know and I can help you with that. Thanks for sub.
Congratulations!! You did a great job💕 Can I get your email address? I would love to build a platform like yours, and I would be very grateful if you can give me the instructions and measurements 💕🙏
I think the video is quite detailed. For the measurements, the legs are about 3 feet high and the platform is about 4 feet long and 2 feet wide. These are approx. measurements. You can adjust them according to your need. I hope it helps. (Sorry about the late response. I had somehow missed your comment.)
Everybody has different priorities and needs. I hardly spent anything on the materials used in this project, because I already had everything needed, leftover from other projects.
@@DIYHomeofMine I know, I was half-joking :) you did great work on that. certainly, i'd consider building it too if I had tools/materials, but in my case it's actually cheaper to buy one purpose-made cheers :)

That really nice. I'd feel safe with anything you built.
Wow, Miurie didn't take any short cuts or scrimp on anything in building this. Hats off to you!!
So cool to have all the tools required
Wow, I'm really impressed with your building knowledge and skill. Very professional result!

Glad it was helpful!
nicely done and documented. the only thing I wished I saw more of was the assembly of the legs. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching! I will try better video on my future projects. I am still learning the tricks of videography.
You rock. Completely helpful video and one of the most useful so far for me. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you. I like that you put a lip on the platform.
Thank you for watching!
Nice to see another desi mom who is so handy!
Well thank you! I love what I do.
Great video awesome work thanks for the inspo. 🙏
Thanks! Glad that it inspired you.

Thank you for your lovely comment. Yes,, I love color and I have used these colors throughout the house.

You are so cool! Your diy is next level! I’m diy but not like this😂
This is going to make taking out the window air conditioner this year a lot more easier. Thank you.
Thanks! Glad that it was hellpful to you!
Thank you for sharing! Very nice project, good job 👍

Thanks for wathcing!
You are the bomb! You totally did what I was thinking but wasn’t sure if it was going to be possible ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Lisa. I hope you are going to be building one too.
Very helpful
Bravo ,,,Women Power Thank you for your video
Thanks for watching! Appreciate your encourgement.
Nice work! Only thing, I think it could use some diagonal bracing to make it more stable for safe use.
Great point! I will add one for future use.
I liked the solution
Wow !! nicely done and a great idea that ill be using.
Thanks for watching!
I loved the video and am looking for a solution to change the light bulb above my stairs. Do you have the cut list for this project?
NO, I don't have a cut list for this. Sorry.
very impressive : )
good job
You are a braver lady than me.
Excellent

Amazing xx
nice work very exact measuring
Thanks for watching Andrew!
Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
That can be done with a 6-footer scaffolding. Make sure you don't use the wheels for extra stability. I've been painting houses for about 35 years.
Sure. Sometimes scaffolding does not work for lack of space. Thanks for the suggestion though!
Thank you so much…this will a great! I have a question…it looked like there was a 3rd leg on the edge that had the taller legs. I’m not sure what that was. Did it go one step down as just another brace?
It was just another brace for added security. You can skip that altogether. I think it was an overkill.😃
I almost skipped over. I am so glad I didn’t!!!
Thank you Joanie!
Love it. WhT kind of screws did u use for the legs?
1/4-20 nut and bolts, used for knock down furniture and stuff.
This is pure women power. Respect! 🙏
Thanks for watching!

You didn't take a picture of the platform 😔
I think it was pretty clear in the video, how the platform looked.

SKILLS!!
Thank you!
Ok this is a good idea but I need something that will work for me and this is too small I need to get up about 20 feet
I think for that you will need a scaffolding.
Very clever! I'm tall (6'5") but there are still spots I can't reach on my stairs.
Thanks Cody! I stand only 5' tall and with this platform, I can work above the stairs worry free!

Girl let me buy one lol
I don't sell!
Great job, but well over engineered 👍
Maybe it was an overkill. but better for my peace of mind.😄
For sure it’s work, but a bit overkill, should I say.
May be a bit overkill, but better for peace of mind.
i did subscribe also.
Too complex. Need a more basic build/solution.
It won't seem that complex, when you break the whole process into smaller steps.
I better use 2x8’s for my fat butt. Or maybe 2x10’s?
Sure!
Congratulations!! You did a great job💕

Overkill
May be, but goof for my peace of mind!
or for the time and money spent on the wood, screws and brackets you can buy better product online :)
