Here are five things this watch does that are just-well, you’ll see.

    • @adrianshephard224
      @adrianshephard224 2 года назад +8

      Well thing is that the G-shock is quartz digital watch that you can buy in every store around the globe. Although it DOES perform nicely it's still a digital cheap quartz watch. So there is nothing mesmerizing about them. I own a lot of G-shocks, from DW6900, 6900MS, GA2100, DW5600, GA100-1A4ER, GA110, GBA900, etc... they still can't hold a water to a proper automatic/mechanical watches. I wish Watchfinder would rather cover Vostok divers compared to G-shocks. Vostok's are still in-house made and assembled by hand and the end product is proven to endure pressures of over 30 atmospheres. And they can easily be modded and really be unique compared to anything else on the market.

    I'm not sure if this is the case in other countries, in Australia divers use a diving computer. If there is electronic interference, I think the old school divers do have a watch - it's mostly a G-Shock. Nothing too fancy. Readability is one of the most vital part of having an instrument, and this watch is barely readable in normal conditions that I doubt it has any practical functionality in the field.

    • @muzzaball
      @muzzaball 2 года назад +1

      As you would be aware, in years gone by the US Navy dive tables were used in conjunction with a dive watch, but they have certainly gone the way of the Dodo. So much more life saving accuracy is obtained using a dive computer that a watch is almost not used. Love the styling or hate it I feel that at least we can all appreciate the absolute engineering that has gone into this piece. At least it isn't a quartz with a brand sticker - so there's that. Cheers from Albury.

If Richard Mille were to design a car, the driver couldn't find the steering wheel because he would engulf the view of the dashboard with springs...just because it looks "unique". I feel the same way. I’m an aerospace welder/fabricator by trade and I really appreciate the insane engineering and craftsmanship that goes into something like this or the astronomia. Wouldn’t wear either though

      @@cr144mc6 I will say I think the tonneaus wear a lot better, super ergonomic. If I was ever in a position to buy one of these, I'd probably opt for a tonneau.

    Hello! In general do you think RM watches will still be popular in 50years or so? Do you think it would be on a similar level as JLC?
    Thanks for the videos! My bell is always on

    Given the price, the finish is surprisingly lacking. It's like someone took a grand complication from somewhere else, slapped a huge case on it, and roughed the finish up a bit.
