I bought one from a street about 6 dollars and it also works same as you.
Billionaires buy these watches as an investment.
nothing beats a casio... I had one when I was little and let me tell you if a watch can last 5 years on a little kid that is a very durable watch!!!
Casio is not luxery watch
Casio is the best brand ever .... I love casio
Luxurery doesn't mean durability..... casio look class and durable
interesting I would like to try casio
It's truly a god tier watch
They are great watches. I liked mine so well I bought one for my cat. I couldn’t adjust the band enough for it to fit him very well. So I called Richard and asked if he could resize the band for my cat. He said he could for $226K. So I just put the watch on my cats neck. He loves it.
That's cute. I got 4 at the bottom of my aquarium I use as decoration. One of them is my old 11-03 ultimate.

I giggled when you mentioned Tag-Heuer. Anyway, the value of any RM is 75-80% hype. The watches themselves are interesting with the innovative use of newer materials, but hardly to the tune of several million dollars.

I'm impressed by the technical aspects of the watches, but that doesn't excuse their hideous looks and obscene prices.

Even the most popular watch collectors didn't know what exactly make the RM become so expensive but they collect them in anyway !
Mona Liza coast around 900M $ no one knows why. You just need to use your brain a little and you will understand that is not only about telling the time They are piece of art etc..
@@janis1699 you can't possible be comparing THE ONLY MONA LISA painted by LEONARDO DA VINCI which he spent years, potentially even over a decade, trying to perfect every little brush stroke to a line of watches which are produced in the thousands annually. It is known why the Mona Lisa is INSURED (not cost which implies it is for sale and it is not) for around $870 million. It is irreplaceable and an incredible piece by arguably the greatest polymath of the entire Renaissance. There's no way you were making that audacious statement seriously. I mean that has to be intentional irony, especially because you said that super patronizing "use your brain a little" line in the middle of such a nonsensical statement, right?
@@csantos2 i see that ur mad, and i kinda appreciate it
@@phoenixx2102 I want you to understand you're defending an ugly watch you will never own.
Even Bill Gates does not buy none of these Richard Mille watches. Be proud what you can afford.
I heard about the brand from the ex F1 driver Felipe Massa who told people he contacted RM in the first years of the company to get a sponsorship but because the RM was only starting they didn't had the money. Because Massa and his manager really liked the brand RM made a deal that in the first year of partnership they would only give him one of their best watches, RM 006 at that time, and since then Massa was wearing their watches, yes even the very expensive ones, in every single race he had in F1.
That's like billionaires loaning each other 100k.....yawn...
@@lunam7249 It's a payment for a service though, nobody works for free and a millionaire created a watch with that value for others. We should be thankful for people that are creators of new things in our society, the majority of our people can't create anything.

- status symbol
- to show off
- to live for the likes
- to live for other peoples acceptance of you

@@janis1699 let me put it into perspective for you to understand.
I’m a millionaire - and for me to buy a pair of sneakers isn’t a big deal - just the same way it isn’t a big deal for a billionaire to buy a $1,000,000 watch. But no I don’t buy $100 sneaker every six month or hold a collection of Jordan or pay $1500 for a yeezy. Instead I sponsor 10 orphan kids at $30 box a month per kid = $300 a month and I hope to reach $10,000 a month in this.
I hate to spill the beans like this as this is my private life. But you asked for it
Get it? Do you now understand and comprehend?
to me it seems that RM produces the same watch all over again.....
It’s the opposite, all the movements are different. They make more unique movements than any other brand
Personally I’d take a Rolex day date over any RM - platinum day date to be precise 😊

Good information
RM is basically a rich mans Gshock, its cool but after youre over 25 you tend to look at other countless more sophisticated choices. In 30 years this watch will loose most of its value, and its definitely not something youll be passing on for generations.
Nautilus is the timeless machine
You are mistaken
Value keeps appreciated and for sure it will be passed to next generation

Some lucky people bought RM’s when they first came out and were only about $35,000 for the basic models around 2001-2006. Models like the RM005 & RM010 are much less busy looking than the newer ones and are quite nice. Those same watches are worth 4-5 times that amount now. Very nice pieces! And great investments! Excellent video btw!
rm watches arent even worth 35k, the watch is a plastic joke
Lols lucky? People that are not rich dont buy a 35k watches they are not lucky they were rich people
@@MrJumbo-zx1jt I think you may not be aware that the early Richard Mille’s were not plastic at all, they were Rose Gold, White Gold, Platinum or Titanium
outside of those, RMs perform quite terribly on the grey market though if you buy new.
Rolex, AP, Patek are still the best "investment" watches.
What makes it expensive is the exclusivity and probably the watch movement too
I know I'll get slack for this. But I don't like the designs I wouldn't wear one.
Because the rich and powerful use them to launder money.

Quartz accuracy
They are pretty much assets for the rich. It's no different than owning a painting. If you purchase a rare watch it's almost guaranteed it will go up in value over the years. So they try to buy them new hold it for years then the value will 5 - 10x. Rolex and Audemars Piguet watches sometimes 10x in the matter of months after they come out. My uncle's 20k Rolex he bought 7 years ago is worth 150k now.

I will stick with my Rolex. Their style is eternally popular, known worldwide and they only go up in value. I’ve never even heard of this brand. I think wrist watches will go the way of the pocket watch in the next 20 years anyway. Most young people nowadays don’t even wear watches.

Thanx for sharing information on RM watches. I could never own one of these watches but I can understand the allure of them in certain circles. Nowadays there are some very wealthy people out there.
