- Most vocal coaches would argue that the key to singing high notes well is to use more diaphragmatic support, or singing from the diaphragm, or using your diaphragm to sing.
But what does it really mean? And will diaphragmatic support really help you to sing high notes better?

Your videos have helped me a lot on my singing journey however the missing ingredient to having a rich sound was diagphramatic support. Initially I made the mistake that you noted in this video where beginners may force air through. But my idea of support is a slight push against the ascending diagphram during exhalation from the abdominal muscles. This doesnt necessarily push more air but rather ensures a steady stream that you can gently increase and decrease as You sing low and high respectively.
