How to make a Simple Dark Trap/Phonk Beat

how do you get the vocal sample to match up to the beat so well? i always struggle with it. great tutorial btw

if you know from which song the vocals are taken from you can look for the bpm and then stretch the vocals to your project's bpm.
if you can hear the beat in your vocal sample it can be useful as well (to know where the snare hits for example)
to be sure it matches, dont be scared to cut and move some part of it to be align with the grid (use the bpm can also help you)

I’m usually someone who tunes their 808s and make sure the 808s are in key, but in phonk does that matter?

yeah it does matter but sometimes a little off key sound gives a cool atmosphere to the track

You just need to tune your 808 if you have the key from the sample and if not just use your ear

Hey, that's an old pack I got since 2017, I'm sure you can find it if you search something like 'phonk sample free memphis' yada yada you got the idea :)

I think the vocal samples are from the gunsoww phonk kit. You can see at the end gpk vocals, and it's easily searchable.
