My first car was an 85 Honda Civic Hatchback. Got it back in 2002 so it was a 17 year old car. I had it for more than 5 years and it was so good and reliable. Now my partner is about to get the one in this review, and your review was of great help 😊
You know this guy is committed to delivering the best content out there when he appologizes for perfect audio quality. Anyway my dad has a 2016 civic and would love to see him upgrade to this new one, your review made it look perfect. Keep up the good work love the channel.
Just turned 24 and just bought a 2023 Civic Sport, all black. Couldn’t be happier on the gas and coming from a loud bumpy off-roading 17 year old Lexus. It was a great choice for me personally. No car payment, reliable , fuel efficient and imo a beautiful car.
I stumbled upon this channel from a short and couldn't be happier. The way you review vehicles makes it so easy to understand what you're getting and you hit a lot of points.
Great video! Good points made in the review and clean shots of the car as well. I've watched a lot of these '22 Civic reviews this is one of the best on RUclips.
37yo subscriber here, I once had the Civic EK4 and member of a local jdm club at the time. Most of us drove the Civic EG tho. For us Honda strayed from the path after that, and non of us are driving Honda´s anymore. This new model definitely brings those old vibes back when it comes to looks, but the power clearly isn´t there. The power under the hood and the feeling of driving a smoother version of a go-kart is what made Honda great (atleast in my country that was). Honda was the car that everyone here wanted back in the day, now it's compared to a KIA....
by far the best Civic IMO especially since they released the new Type R diffidently cop'n one soon! Videos are Amazing this channel is super underrated cant wait until you guys hit 1M !
Got married in 94 at 33 y.o. took the wife's 3 doorTercel. We got her the 94 Civic EX. Drove it for 10 years. One car 94.000 miles and 17 years later. We are back in. We do not use as a daily. So hence 17 years between. We now represent the 7.5% stranger still I went with sport touring for the utility aspect without the bulk of a SUV. Side note, Costco loves SUVs and hatchbacks. As far as the pockets behind the seats, only need it for the sun screen and it goes behind the passenger anyway when not in use. The only time I used the other, hiding my wallet from u k who. Had I know a body would fit in the trunk I might have . No nevermind. We really like the car but I'm seriously considering upgrading to the Integra. Let us know when you review one. I will subscribe if it will help get you one. Thanks for the stellar review.
I have a 2022 Civic Hatchback. I know that lazy, smooth acceleration feel. It's not RAW. I understand it's like this for longevity etc etc. Man I am so jealous of the features in Canada, not fair.
Is this car really targeting young drivers? Looks like an affordable alternative for people that like touring cars but dislike the usually 50k price tag.
That's it exactly. Although I stopped at the local auto parts store to get black chrome valve caps and two very young Men working there had new civics one had the sedan and the other had the hatch.
The interior of the last gen was better imo. Much cleaner look. No ugly cup holders showing and also the usb ports were hidden. Plus no screen was sticking out of the dash.
I disagree, the shifter is tilted towards the driver in the eleventh gen which is a big step up from having to reach over cups. Additionally the screen is up higher and vertical to not only avoid glare, but also means the driver doesn’t need to draw as much attention away from the road. However I agree on the USB’s and storage space.
My first car was a 2008 civic. Long story short, that's the car that made me fall in love with Honda. Too bad they short change the American market throughout their entire lineup.
A lot of the models not sold to us are either to small not powerful enough or don’t pass certain regulations and the higher end models don’t sell well here either because they almost overlap meet with their own luxury brand price wise. Same with other mainstream brands as Toyota not many ppl buy the Avalon because it’s not much cheaper if not the same depending on equipment as just getting a Lexus ES
@@Carfan678 while there are some models that other markets get that we don't, that wasn't my point here. My point is the accord, civic and crv are better equipped in Canda, and better equipped in other markets. The issue is that the majority of the accord's competition offer heated steering wheels, red, brown, and blue interior color options, panoramic moonroofs, far superior sound systems, LED interior lights, full LED tailights, larger infotainment screens, and 360 degree cameras. All of those features are offered in cars across the segment. Camry, optima/ k5, and sonata. The Mazda 6 and altima lack some of those features as well, but make up for it in other areas. The Mazda has a quieter cabin with better materials and the altima has a better sound system. All of those features I listed are available in the accord and crv in other parts of the world. The accord even has parallel parking assist in Asia, and the civic gets a pano roof in some countries. The civic still sells around 300k units a year and the crv is one of the best selling vehicles in the U.S period, so there's no excuse. And saying Honda is saving those features for Acura is kind of baloney. You can't even get a panoramic moonroof on the tlx and you don't get a 360 camera unless you pay 49k before taxes for the advance model. The 53k type s doesn't even come with a 360 camera or heated steering wheel from factory, but an elantra for around 26k does. Honda's products are bottom tier in terms of feature you get for the money and most of the competition surpasses them in that area, especially the Koreans.
@7:02 & @8:58 The Civic is great for the child in you. 😎 Great review, especially explaining the screen operations. I miss the corn but know it is too early to see it when you drive. 🌽
Nice car but not worth the current "market" price. Cheapest out the door price I could find within a 300 mile radius was 39K and this was without a dealer markup. 30k MSRP, 4k in taxes/registration, and 3k in dealer addons. LOL 40K for a civic, hard pass.
The new Civic will definitely interfere with Accord sales until they refresh it . No one wants it when the smaller cheaper version of it looks better 🤷🏻♂️
You're so spot on. My wife and I were actually looking at accords we had no idea the Civic is what it is now. I was actually standing on the lot looking at one from the side and thought I was looking at an accord. We never would have bought a 10th generation. Just on how it looks. It was great for the young people.
We've only tested the Mazda 3 Turbo up to this point so that wouldn't be a fair comparison. Hopefully we can get into the 2.5 L 4-cylinder or the 2.0 L sometime soon!
Just disappointed that you have no technology in the car to bring it excitement. It’s a bit bland and dumbed down from the 2020 version I have. The seats are awful and kill my back on semi long drives. The 45 min drive into Pittsburgh I get out feeling stiff and sore, while longer drives I begin to feel the pain during the drive. The fact Honda still doesn’t allow for remote start or locking from your device shows they are regressing in technology implementation. Something that could have been added to the features before COVID. The infotainment system is now bland and static and feels boring. I understand the issues from the previous system but it felt more personal and inviting to use and stood out in the car. Two features I was surprised to see go was a simple add of HD radio and the usual suspect of SiriusXM being only a touring option. Honda stating to me because of streaming, yet in America the cell service is so bad you can barely stream live content let alone start a song on Spotify without it buffering. So yes while we stream more I feel like Sirius should be an available add on for factory at least. The external displays are just too difficult to deal with placement wise. The ride was fairly loud and disappointing. Didn’t feel like my car at all. Felt worse than my 2020 Civic. The cost of the new Civic doesn’t match quality and tech as the car is missing the tech, probably not missing the same Honda quality but have heard stories where 2022 models are breaking down easier, engine issues are off the lot and such. I’d love a Hybrid Civic for sure, but if your pushing into $30k in touring lumbar support should be a no brainer.
Why does this suv lover keep coming in my homepage over n over. I think he is paying RUclips. His featured video on his home page is for a Sportage. Pathetic.
If you ever had a Civic, what year and model did you have? Comment below!
2015 EX coupe
2008 LX , still going strong
I had 6gen and now driving 8th gen, still going strong and almost 0 unpredicted maintenance.
2005 Coupe & still takes off like a rocket 🚀 lol.
1999 Civic EX Coupe in that Greeeeen green color!

@Yazid Banchafi Check out his review of the BMW i4 electric. He constantly raises the bar when it comes to honest reviews.

I like that instead of saying it's 'slow' you said 'it's super smooth that you don't feel it's fast'. :)
That man fell asleep at the wheel.jk Hay it's faster than most cars in class. I can live with it. I hope.

Thanks a lot Adam!
I'm still loving my 2016 10th gen Civic Touring sedan. No need for an upgrade for another few years at least.
Agree, still love my 10th gen. Ive seen the 11th gen in person and didnt seem much of an upgrade

2022 Honda Civic = evolution of model carries the heritage of Civic forward ... Liking both exterior & interior styling ... Slainte' ! Cheers !
Finally reviewing a real supercar! Loved the review.

I’m 36. Love the look of this Civic. It looks clean and very much like an Accord. Which I like. I would buy one.

Sorry everyone my wife said I was droning on and on. Where have I heard that word before.
I have a 2022 Civic Hatchback. I know that lazy, smooth acceleration feel. It's not RAW. I understand it's like this for longevity etc etc. Man I am so jealous of the features in Canada, not fair.
Exact ditto. I do like my S.T hatch though.
Is this car really targeting young drivers? Looks like an affordable alternative for people that like touring cars but dislike the usually 50k price tag.
According to his chart, I'm too old for it. Lol. Getting one anyway.
That's it exactly. Although I stopped at the local auto parts store to get black chrome valve caps and two very young Men working there had new civics one had the sedan and the other had the hatch.
I have a 2013 accord sport with the cvt…I relate it to driving a go kart with how it doesn’t shift lol…my first and last cvt
why is the age chart so accurate lmao. I'm 33 now and just got one
34yr old here, i went with the corolla hatch 2022, I was looking at this but wanted a hatch
I had a 2010 civic type s and then a 2019 civic sport 🔥
My 2015 Civic drives way too fast too and I don't even notice it - until I look at the speedometer.
I think for the money and the reliability, the new Civic is amazing. Especially the Hatchback Sport or the Hatchback Sport Touring.
The interior of the last gen was better imo. Much cleaner look. No ugly cup holders showing and also the usb ports were hidden. Plus no screen was sticking out of the dash.
Yeah the only thing i prefer in the new gen is the steering wheel controls. The middle console was genius and shouldve been transferred over
I disagree, the shifter is tilted towards the driver in the eleventh gen which is a big step up from having to reach over cups. @@colbyentzminger217 Well I completely disagree with you on the shifter and the screen. So that’ll be that. We disagree.
I had a 96 ex First car I bought way back in the day
Appreciate the comment abt interior sounds and road noise
Rock solid presentation man. I love the intros the best! :D
Thanks we appreciate that!
*All boring’d up

Hondas have always had pronounced road noise though. That's a common complaint in Pilots and Odysseys
2022... Got delivery last month 😁
I’m still loving my Civic 2017…… One more payment and I’m done 😂
Honda intensionally left many options out so they can sell Acuras.
hi! i heard there was a 2023 honda civic coming out soon? what are your thoughts abt it? great video btw!! keep up the amazing work :)
Hey Van, since gas is going up what are the best hybrid or electric Sedans or SUVs on the market?
Good question! I’ll make a video on this
Yeaaaaaa!!!! Hope Acura hopefully send you some cars soon!!! 😊
Not seen any reviews on Acura. Interested in your review of the TLX Type S. Any plans for that brand? Thanks
This was our first Honda Press/Media vehicle, so we're hoping we get some Acura's soon!
Hi ACCELER8 Can You Make The 2022 Toyota Camry SE Nightshade Thank You Are My Nice RUclipsr
Road and wind noise seems high, at least based on this video.
Even the VTEC kicks in
You should review the 2022 golf R!

Looks like honda took note of the 4th gen mazda3 for the interior and less is more simplicity ideology.

We will for sure!
2019 type r, love the looks personally. Glad I got the year I got.
those are the ugliest civics ever, new ones look way better!!

How does this feel in terms of acceleration and handling than the 4th gen mazda3?
We've only tested the Mazda 3 Turbo up to this point so that wouldn't be a fair comparison. Hopefully we can get into the 2.5 L 4-cylinder or the 2.0 L sometime soon!
If you think this is boring, try my 2009 civic hybrid
There are more options than just black leather interior, for the US anyway.
Yeah, the Touring in Canada just gets black leatherette.
The all new 2000 Civic. (Exterior)
Is it just me or are the msrp for new cars getting hella expensive
It’s not u things really are just so expensive nowadays
Never owned a compact car, doesn't this feel tiny while driving around other vehicles on busy streets and a little cramped?
that or the mazda 3?
Too bad no Hybrid & or Awd system like the corolla is bringing to the table
love it❤
I think the touring is underpowered in my opinion. 200hp would make a little more sense.
Personally hate the new design of the civic. “All grown up” just looks boring personally.
Strange. US version of Civic 2022 is far different from European

Wtf going on with the bottom of the car in the thumbnail 😂
Just the shadow/reflection of the car behind it, looks weird though yes haha.
Plain boring looking exterior.
It's the all new 2000 model.
