    After coming from a 2013 Accord EXL, I've owned my 2022 Civic Touring for about 3 months now and I really love it. Some things to note that I didn't see in the video. The trunk has a pull handle on the ceiling of the lid on the right side that lets you close the trunk without touching the paint (i love this). Most traditional windshield wipers spray the fluid upwards toward the windshield-the new Civic, however, carries the fluid through tubes all the way to the wipers and "dribbles" the wiper fluid directly onto the glass. I like this because in other cars i've owned, the blue, orange, or green windshield wiper fluid mist would be sprayed all over my cars' paint and dry there.
    Also, you may have to manually enable the Bose audio experience in the settings when you first start your car.

      @@omarvasquez2721 hey Omar, I first pressed the Home button to get out of CarPlay mode. When you’re on the Home Screen, go to the next page of options until you see “General Settings.” Tap that, then tap “Sound.” You should see an option for “Bose Centerpoint.” You just need to turn that on. I hope this helps 👍

      I’d love to hear more about your impressions of the different driving experience between the ‘13 Accord EXL (I had a blue one I loved for 10 years) verses the top trim new Civic. Thanks!

    • @tylox7521
      @tylox7521 Год назад

      @@dennisjones8906 Hey Dennis, I replied yesterday but I included a link to a Honda forum, so RUclips must have deleted or hidden my reply.
      It's been almost a year since I was last able to drive the '13 Accord, so I don't really remember how that felt vs the new Civic. But immediately after getting my Civic I remember thinking it felt so much more agile compared to the Accord. The Civic is only about 10" shorter, but it feels so much more maneuverable.
      I always have to take a sharp right turn on my way to work, and the Accord would sway a bit through it. The Civic can take the turn at a faster speed with what feels like less body roll, especially if you're in sport mode.
      Lots of people have complained about the "cracking" sound from the plastic infotainment system expanding and contracting in hot/cold temps-this sound has gone away for me. I guess the plastic has relaxed enough.
      However, at about 4200-4300 miles I noticed an issue with the steering that wasn't there when I got the car. At faster speeds like on the interstate, the steering gets a little sticky. Idk if this is the best description. It feels like lane keep assist is on even when it isn't. To read more about this issue, find the "civic11forum" (I can't add a link or it'll get removed) and then search "sticky steering." There's a post that has abut 275 replies.
      The sticky steering issue is the only thing I don't like about the car, and I'm hoping for a recall on whatever is causing the issue. Aside from that I love it!

      Do replace the mediocre Goodyear Eagle Sport All-Season tires, especially if you live in wintery snow climate but you will need winter tires. All-Season on the Civic just does not do well in winter. If you live in nice warm and non snow regions, the OEM Goodyear will do even though they are not very quiet tires. If you paid more than $1500 for Honda Care 8yr/120K miles, on a new Civic you've been had, other Honda dealers should provide you the real cost of Honda Care and add a small fee for their service in submitting warranty paperwork. You'll need steel wheels to mount your winter tires on, this is to avoid unnecessary damage to your new alloy wheels.

    Im in love with my civic touring, i still cant get over the interior and keep looking at it everytime in awe, its so cool!, that full digital cluster is so beautiful!, new civic made me choose a Honda over an Audi a3, its such a better car, the only complain i have is the slow startup of the infotainment system, it takes a while to load and its very laggy and glitchy until then, after it works fine, they should have put a better processor on it, i hope a software update will fix it. Hes absolutely right about the road noise, it gets very loud at highway speeds depending on the surface.

    • @ComputerStuff
      @ComputerStuff  2 года назад +1

      The infotainment, especially CarPlay, does take a bit longer than desired to start up :( Supposedly the Touring has more sound deadener, and for that matter it has the acoustic noise cancelling, but it just doesn't work great. Loud road noise is a consistent complaint among Honda's current line up. Whereas Mazda seems to be obsessing about getting rid of road noise. I hope Honda addresses this soon!

    • @ComputerStuff

      They are still a fine car to buy. Don't let negative rhetoric scare you. You can have issues with ANY car you purchase. A Honda Civic will likely last you well into 200,000 miles. The 1.5L engine plus CVT comes with controvery but I think in real world experience most people will be fine. That said the car is a little "noisy" with road noise.

    How is the CVT in this? I wanted the Honda Accord with the 2.0 and 10 speed auto but this civic is growing on me and seems way more economical. I’ve heard horror stories about CVT’s and that is the one thing I am hesitant about. On the other hand I have heard Honda did well with this CVT. Also secondary question, how is the pickup in this car? I wanted the accord mainly because it was quick and my current car is slow. I don’t need a race car by any means as this will be my day to day car to get to and from work, I do a lot of highway driving and I want to be able to merge and accelerate when needed.

    • @ComputerStuff
      @ComputerStuff  2 года назад

      Pickup is outstanding and I had zero complaints about the CVT. Smooth. Complaints about pickup or CVT would be those looking for a Civic SI - which it needs to be understood, this is not! This is a semi-luxury eco car that is smooth to drive and efficient on gas. No hesitation, get one!

      @@mr.grumpygrumpy2035 I agree. It is not a budget car anymore at that price.

      I only find noise loud on terrible roads. If road noise is your biggest problem, buy a Cadillac. I took 3 months testing every car up to 40,000 and this car was heads above anything else.

      @@garytryan I drove all cars (Mazda3, Corolla, Elantra, Forte, Jetta, Sentra, Impreza) in the same category with my wife, and we both agree that the Civic is the worst when comes to road noise. This is also confirm by car reviewers. Don’t need a Cadillac, just any other budget cars are fine. Even my old 8th gen Civic is crazy quiet in comparaison.

    Too bad it is front wheel drive and has a CVT. Add all the accessories you want and you can not over come those major design flaws 😂

    • @ComputerStuff
      @ComputerStuff  Год назад +1

      It's a light family car and the CVT is fine for what it is. If you want sporty you're looking in the wrong category my friend!

      This video is 2 years old my friend... at the time of recording they were hard to find. That said, I dont know where you are located, but Civics are still popular little vehicles...
