She is one of the few people to have the EGOT status. She has 11 #1 albums, has recorded about 60 albums, acted in movies, directed movies. You have to check out her song called Woman in Love from 1980 written by Barry and Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees and produced by Barry Gibb. When it was released in 1980, it hit number 1 in over 24 countries.

This movie, "A Star Is Born," was remade three times from the original which was in 1937. Barbra's 1976 version was the first real separation from the prior two, using a more modern theme of rock and roll; the latest version made in 2018 with Lady Gaga snd Bradley Cooper copied Barbra's version a lot, and I personally didn't find the chemistry between them as moving and authentic as Barbra and Kris Kristofferson's 1976 version.
Barbra's voice is other-worldly, as you'll find out the more you hear her. Check out her duet with the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, on "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)"... and choose the longer 8-minute version... it was a huge hit in Discos back in the day.

Although it's a movie scene it is kinda like a live performance. It was recorded live and on 1 take.
Actually they shot the scene I think 3 or 4 times, and chose the best performance (I think it was take 2. Barbra talked about it on her memoir/audiobook)

Great movie but great music too. Kris Kristofferson is great in it and his songs are just as good as hers. Watch it you’ll like it.
