- Seemed like EGR delta p ports plugged. Would smoke and stumble bad in 4-6 gears. No delta p sensor though. EPA07 60 series. I happen to notice coolant temp around 174 deg f. Remembered that EGR flow starts at 176 deg f. Put cardboard in front of the radiator and truck was much better. Coolant hoses were warm, stuck open thermostat. Engine fan solenoid was 150k ohms/ too high resistance. So engine fan was on all the time and thermostats stuck open. Well, the thermostat seals were improperly installed (crooked) in the thermostat housing. I’ll have the old ones if y’all wanted to see the crooked wear pattern. Replaced all that and buttoned up the truck. Engine fan was commanded on by the CPC. Compared factory parameters and found some strange a/c fan parameter enabled. Changed that and engine fan finally chilled out. Made this video, love shifting gears man. And hitting them Jakes. Needed to verify the engine fan came one with coolant temp.
