According to Goodreads, the first was released in 2012, with the second in 2015. I have not read this series but ~600 pages I assume it's pretty complex, so I think 3 years is probably just about right for a release gap.
I tend to find book series that have lengthy release gaps between them more enjoyable, because usually (not always though) that means the author took extra time to edit, craft, and get the story right, rather than rush trying to make a deadline. Release gaps is an interesting topic now that I'm thinking about it...lol.

I want to read this book. I got so many books that I want to read, now after watching this, I have to add it to my list. I might wait until the 3rd one comes out and binge read it.
