Andrew Doak Cooks - Egg and Cheese Sandwich

This #sandwich is a family staple (I’m a little surprised it has taken me this long to film it). I’ve debated and argued the ‘way’ to prepare an #egg in #castiron and other stovetop applications. I like to ‘burn’ my #egg underside, but that’s me. Many people ‘like’ how I prepare this #sandwich and many “do not’ so, you can’t please everyone.
Very yummy sandwich that starts out as a base. My wife asked “did you add ham?” I did not. Her response “missed opportunity… for you, that is…” She isn’t wrong. I often add other things to this sandwich, like ham or bacon or different cheeses… you can do all kinds of things with this ‘base’ version of the sandwich. I also add #hotsauce to my sandwich, but my diverticulitis is acting up, so I’ve opted not to do that to myself.
Experiment, try new additions, turn DOWN your heat if you don’t want to ‘burn’ your eggs, and above all, enjoy!
TIME TO PREPARE
4 minutes to toast bread
4 minutes to heat skillet
10 minutes to fry eggs
4 minutes to melt cheese
INGREDIENTS FOR EGG AND CHEESE SANDWICH
2 slices of bread
2 eggs
2 slices of American Cheese
Pad of butter
MiracleWhip
Salt
Pepper
HOW TO
1. Toast bread
2. Heat skillet
3. Add butter to skillet; melt and smoke
4. Add 1 egg, careful not to puncture the yolk
5. Add 2nd egg, same thing, be careful
6. Add salt / pepper
7. Cover
8. Scrape up from bottom to flip
9. Flip
10. Cover
11. Fold over eggs to make a half/circle
12. Add 2 slices of cheese
13. Cover
14. Take your toasted pieces of bread; add MiracleWhip
15. Add your Egg / Cheese
16. Cut in two
17. Enjoy

1. dude, look at the last 60-30 seconds, that yolk is hard AF, with a slight drip (it was, in fact, epic)
2. you are 100% correct, the cheese appeared out of nowhere, because the prior shot was me 'not' shutting the camera off. I deleted the clip. We all lost adding cheese. It just "appeared" out of "nowhere", you are spot-on. My fault. My Bad. I'll do better. Maybe
