Thanks for watching. Usually, and the first chance I get, I go for wood grips. The Beretta, any CZ - no matter. There is just something about wood over soul-less VZ grips or aluminum.
@@RangeRoninChronicles I replaced the vz grips that came with my Ruger lite with Rugers thin wood grips just like the ones on your commander. Wood grips just look so much better on a 1911.
@@JeepsCafe I totally agree. Coming out soon is a review of the new Ruger SR1911 Lightweight. The original VZ grips were first replaced with a wrap-a-round finger groove grip, then to a set of faux stag horn grip panels, and finally with a set of laminated wood grip panels with "rising eagle" silver-black grip panels from the Altamont company. Great looking, feeling, and compliments the two-tone scheme of the SR1911 Lightweight. I hope that you can catch that review when it comes out this upcoming July 28th.
Great gun, I’ve owned one for years, great shooter, feeds any brand of ammo, easy to work on. I did replace the rear sight with a Beretta adjustable one , much better to shoot. Thanks for reviewing a fine pistol
@@RangeRoninChronicles yes, they are easy to install and help a lot ,,,,I took mine to the range today after watching your video, Thanks,,,,I did very well running plates! Keep up the good work!
@@Bill-jv5eg Thanks. I still think the military was mistaken to move to the Sig. The military should reconsider and consider the M9A4. But the military wanted the "modular" concept. With that said, I have not heard of any issues with the M17, and the carry-sized model, the M18, having discharge issues like some in the non-military community have had..
@@RangeRoninChronicles I’ve owned a M17 for years with no issues at all, I did change the grip module to a Wilson Combat , much better and added tungsten inserts for extra weight and balance, plus a red dot. I also have a P320 X5 Legion, which is a super gun! I know three other who own P320’s with no issues , who knows ,,,,
The M9 was the first handgun I learned about; boot camp, 1986. I’ve never owned one; though, I’m considering it. I prefer the barrel design; like this, over the tilting barrel designs. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I love my 92X RDO Compact.. Close to 1000 rounds thru it.. Zero issues or malfunctions!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. One of these days, I hope to add the compact to the family.
I love the wood grips on the baretta 92 fs.

Thanks for watching this maintenance segment. I may consider those rear adjustable sights for my 92FS and M9.
