I was married to a musical genius. He taught music at high school & college levels plus always made time to play with the many bands who sought him out to play on recordings , with them live etc. etc. I sat home and raised our son through whatever illnesses & maladies that raising kids brings. Broken bones, hospitalizations for illnesses that left him dehydrated you name it. Not to mention taking care of aging I’ll parents. I was around hundreds of “artists.” Let me tell you they are ALL WEIRD, SELFISH, & HALF ASSED CRAZY IN THEIR WEIRD WAYS!!! Except for us I guess because I was stubborn and held things together until his death after 40 plus years of marriage,,, the musicians we knew were all married up to seven & eight to ten times because they never had to follow the rules of marriage that most of us do making it with the numerous groupies always hanging around to do anything they wanted anytime they wanted it done until,,, a big game changer,,, until,,, they got them & they like me faced the realization of what they gotten themselves into and the love songs and the sad songs or actually any of it was not near as romantic and beautiful as they’d thought it would be. They woke up & found themselves married supposedly for life to a self serving weirdo surrounded by his or her weirdo friends!!! Then it hit the fan & the majority were left with the fixit families they’d insisted on having didn’t fix anything at all!!! So be careful what brings you together in the beginning doesn’t tear you right apart in the end. Because if they’ll do it with you they’ll do it to you!!! Nothing but the next gig and the next groupie stroking their ego ever holds their interest for very long. They end up with numerous husbands & wives with numerous kids with each moving along to the next ones. I know I’ve been there, done that & got a tee shirt. I’ve even designed a bunch of tee shirts. ❤❤❤😮😊
It's definitely an odd way to live. I played music for a while and thankfully quit in my 20's. I later went out with a woman who was an artist and let me tell you, they're almost as bad. I think there's piles of crazy people everywhere, but if you declare that you're a musician or an artist of some sort, then it's almost like a passport that declares you insane and immune from the responsibilities of being an adult.
Alice Cooper weird Puh lease and the chicken thing is hilarious and sounds like something out of a MAD mag and now he's sober and a family man and christian and probably one cool grandpa and has a great side band with Johnny Depp and..now the only real weird thing about alice cooper is he likes golf...and if having a charity that helps yourh learn the arts like music dance and painting and not be on the streets and a deal where he helps others get sober .is weird ?.then I'd say he's my kinda weirdo never met him but a good friend of mines sister worked for him and said he was an amazing boss and nice guy and his wife was a total caring person and a sweetheart too ..grunge your normally ok but you kinda laid a rotten chicken egg with this one
