- We are HYPED to get these AEM X-Series Gauges on our Evo X and are here to show you a few tips and tricks along the way that made it easier.
This X-Series Wideband had a patented 100% Digital technology (Patent 9,575,030) that makes them the fastest responding wideband air/fuel ratio controllers in independent testing.

They managed to do a whole install video without actually showing you how to properly install anything.
That was exactly what i was thinking.
to be fair, title just states installing and not how to install.
@3:35 is roughly the brief explanation of how you would go about installing these on an evo X. its not always helpful for others to make a super in depth install video for a very universal part. This was mostly a product showcase and updating the fans on what new stuff went on the car!

So you can tie all 3 gauges in one fuse tap? What size fuse would you use for the gauges? And we’re you able to tie all 3 grounds into one as well?
Where is the afr plug located? Under the passenger side carpet ? They said it can just plug tht in and does tht mean I don't need to install the actually o2 sensor?

Hey was wondering if you guys sell a tri pillar gauge pod for a evo x? If so id like to buy one ☝🏽
is the boost sensor same as the oil one my boost one says 50psi and my oil one syas 100psi but they loook the same and dont wanna get the wrong ones
How come my three gauge pillar pod doesn’t sit in nicely?

How do you get rid of the gap at the top? Even with it taped tight it pulls the oem pillar down from the weight
@s s you will need to end up cutting holes in your stock a pillar for a flush fit. It's the only way the top piece will hold the weight
So basically the pod clips onto the stock pillar,and you dont switch it,right?
you can get full pillar replacements also but they're usually made to order or you have to send yours in for mod

can you just start the car up right away or do these gauges need to warm up turning ignition half way?
And if only turning ignition half way in acc for a while does that damage the sensors?
you can start up right away. the AFR is the only one that warms up and you'll see it on the display. the other two are just pressure sensors. Sensors may fail over time naturally or run for the rest of the vehicle life. it's all variables like weather, abuse, location, etc.
Sensors would not be damaged while in acc mode.

Is that location safe due to air bags in pillars?
yes it's safe if done right. The pod pillar will just get pushed away with the A pillar and bags will still deploy normally. if anything, the cables will need some slack as to not make it a pivot point that will swing the pillar pod off of the A pillar to slash your eyes.

the aem x series boost gauge is ass and I mean that because the sensor sucks ass. I went threw 2 sensors in a few months and didn't replace it for a 3rd time bc I traded my older sti in. wideband works awesome though.
How would you rate these to GlowShift Pillar Gauges?
