I love this. The production value is incredible!. A little feedback: I think you should turn the river tiles by 90 degrees , so that all of the rectangular blue bits go along it's flow-direction, that way it would look a little more dynamic and river-like. As it is it kinda looks more like a small static lake and less like a section of a big river that flows through the city.
Solution; Every water tile, BUT the bridge tile is turned by 90°, still get's the effect across. And since the suburb models are all the same, it would have been nice if some were turned 180°, for that slight variation perks.
As someone who loves city building and the concept of segmenting out districts based on population and economic presentation, this is right up my alley.. Thanks for the spotlight Tom, count me in on this wonderful little game!

I also enjoy building miniature models from cities, cabins to 4 ft starships complete with interior lights and fully mobile turrets... This looks awesome Tom.

I believe the baseplates have connectors by default - you can kind of see the gap where the connector would fit on the bottom, at each side, of every block. For whatever reason, perhaps ease of filming, Tom is not using them? Maybe they’re a bit finicky.

i literally thought this was some sort of kitchy early access indie dev game where you play as a set of godhands building a "model city" virtual city, but it was still a city builder game at first.

Huh - City-building game in real-life. Wonder if they should like do some kind of table-top game with cards and such like, were the cards define events (i.e. You draw out a disaster card that says "Tornado hits city. Highways, bridges and low-density housing are damaged, and power is unavailable for two turns."
A lot of the fun I get out of stuff like this is the LACK of that sort of stuff to be honest. Nothing wrong with enjoying a game like that, but building little cities and models and such are really enjoyable for me because I can just take my time and not have to worry about competing with anything. Idk, that's just my opinion though!

As in a line of buildings can overlap onto two different tiles?
