I loved watching this and I can see why you enjoy it so much. My favourite part is your scary Airport. Takeoff and landing at the TOM International Airport is going to be truly terrifying as those taking off pray the airplane clears the huge tower blocks just past the car park at the end of the runway, or during landing that the plane doesn't dip and slam right into the buildings.
*Puts the end of the runway on backwards* *Puts a tall bulding right next to the end of the runway* *Puts a park next to an open runway* Safety doesn't seem to be the number one priority at "T.O.M. Airlines"
Yeah, not my forte so I'm missing the word. But some paint meant to emphasize detail rather painting in the detail. Could look really good, but would be a long process. And it's Tom's city of course.
I actually absolutely loved that it’s not painted. The color pallet is amazing. Towers colored, small lads white and colors for parks and other specific things.
I need more Tom Hobbying in my life..... this and the painting/general warhammer stuff back when that...existed...on games night are my absolute jam....
The editing work on this is just *chefs kiss*. Appropriate sound effects, the plane taking off, the super chill background music that isn't too intrusive. Good work.
Lets put the chem plant right next to a river and a playground. also an open playground leading onto the _runway of an international airport_ Such astounding logic
I can think of only one word to describe this entire experience, the city, the fact that this sort of miniature models exist, and how it makes me feel watching this: Lovely.
TOM! I saw that GeoCraper has some mini Evangelion stuff that fit in with the rest of their city range, you should get them c; Also that plane edit was lush.
I was so excited to see this pop up on my feed. Super chill, very fun, not over the top, just all together wonderful. I am so happy to see you doing something you obviously enjoy so much!
10:25 Now I’m happy. Trains are essential! They were once the quickest way to get around, so it makes me happy that there is now a Megacity Tom train station. Ima call the railroad, MTRR (Megacity Tom Railroad)
I just thought everybody should know: The geocraper guys also make models designed to be chipped away at with a pair of nippers to create a postapocalyptic feeling with broken buildings. Just throwing that out there.
7:53 Tom, you're utterly, terribly evil. Now people trying to find parking spaces in their apartment car-park are going to be competing against people who are going to the airport. You'll probably never find a spot, let alone a good spot, and no-one is going to obey any reserved-parking signs. I'd rather live in hell. And I hate warm weather.
13:04 Uh-oh, that skyscraper in the distance doesn't seem to be long for this world. It's foundations are a bit wonkers, or perhaps one of the trains had a high-speed collision with it, setting it askew.
i have been waiting for this one for a long time and am so happy it's back. so relaxing and chill and i love it. if another expansion to megacity tom... or maybe a second city rises up, it would be awesome to see!
Finally, I have been waiting to see more of this! Your city looks great Tom. I am definitely going to buy some of these and build my own city one day! 💖
i wish someone would make this model as a toy, creating your own city, cars, houses, skyscrapers, buildings, highways, roads, all in your hands and just glue them out
I'm so glad it's back. No longer will my dreams consist of nightmares of the tiny city that could have been, but will be peaceful and full of the soothing tones of you, Mr. Clark. The city of my dreams can only be built by the hands of the Yogcast God that is Tom. Long live Tom, the planner of dreams.
@@redberet5064 you can just search it up, theres lots of evidence. A good examle is that none of them are destroyed in earthquakes, which can be devastating in China, e.g tangshan earthquake in 1976
I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday visiting Megacity Tom. The hotel where we stayed was a bit noisy from all the planes landing. The tour guide who took us around oldtown said his ancestors are buried in Tomodashi castle. The roads were a bit confusing to navigate and we ended up back near the portside. Apparently somebody called the "Megacity pusher" has been pushing people into the river. I hope they catch him soon.
5 months Tom! Course I imagine this was taken apart, and then rebuilt; since the most bottom corner piece is not facing the same way! However I'm glad its back!!
I dont remember when did i see the first part of the video but im loving it and also the new buildings! Also one of the ends of the runway is pointing on the opposite direction (the one further from the terminals) and also if you want more realism i recommend to move the tall buildings from the runway ending, planes need more space to land! Nice job though, hope you keep updating it and hope they keep making sweet new buildings!
There's something ASMR about your voice that made this very relaxing to watch. Something I needed, because the anxiety and depression are strong today... Thank you, Tom.
Tom I love the special dock piece so much can you please make the rest entirely special dock pieces or at least 80% I think everyone will love it thanks love you
When he made the airport I devoted full attention to scale lol. Being a Air Traffic Controller, I do have to agree, the planes are pretty cute; though I feel bad for all the nearby residents haha!
My brother sent me the link to this video, and I acted upon the links to GeoCraper and HobbyLink Japan after 45 seconds of watching. That's how intrigued I am.
I don't know why these two Smallest City videos just appeared in my recommendations, but I'm super happy they did. These sets are so cool! Just watching you put it all together and listening to you talk over it is very zen. Bob Ross like. I could watch a hundred of these lol. Edit: Tom! Ooh, I just put it together that I've heard you on Yogscast videos. It's very late for me. That's my excuse lol.
Honestly think it'd be so cool if you started doing some painting for these pieces. Getting some colour into the buildings and what not. Could be super cool for more chill content.
If you revisit this idea again I think it could be interesting to place some of the tiles overlapping two bases instead of just one. It could break up the some of the sameness of multiple pieces next to each other.
I hope you all enjoy your latest visit to Megacity Tom!
Are they your hands?
Love it BTW
A+ for overall design, F for exclusion of Poo Lagoon. ;)
Infinitely more of these please tomothy

I cannot get enough of Megacity Tom. This is somehow more satisfying than any citybuilder you've played.
that's because all my citie's population dies from traffic jams.
Ok so
I feel like it would be nice to have a island in Megacity Tom.. Maybe it could be a technological utopia.. I would call it Tech Island.
Tech Island was burned to the ground in a horrific lightning storm...
@@destroyah316 Rumor has it that the Poolagooners call that place their home now
DustyTheDustyWolf I’m still convinced the Cultists conjured up the storm to begin with, but I guess we’ll never know for sure.
Jessica Hudson I find their interest in these “deep ones” of theirs quite interesting if of course completely fabricated mumbo jumbo haha
@Jessica Hudson & @DustyTheDustyWolf, y'all are my people! I tend to think it was the Poolagoonian Mafia behind the demise of Tech Island.
Eventually, if this series continues, it'll have to be called "expanding the second smallest city"
It'll still be the smallest city

The backwards end is so they turn back instead of hitting the towers. It's all very well thought out.
I can't believe I didn't notice the backwards runway,
You forgot how the trains only have one entrance or exit. If the keep going they will literally hit the towers

Ah, that explains it. Tom got all this stuff from Lewis.
@Adi Odjidja He's a pushy guy.
Tom could do a massive superchill series of him painting the buildings, although they might be a bit small for that.
For the smaller buildings, some simple color blocking using some muted colors could do a lot.

The simcity OST on the background, I love it.

I love it! But the Tomodashi Castle's scale is very odd. Otherwise, amazing!
I was about to say, that'd be an insanely intimidating building, dwarfing apartment complexes and stuff.
Thought the same thing, needs more greenery or to be out of the city a little, maybe by itself over a little river.
