That electrical contact is just the heater for the PTC valve to stop it freezing. I’ve removed mine as I have a larger diametre hose for the PCV and vent straight to atmosphere via a catch tank.

Oh cool, I should be okay to swap it out for the wider tube/1998 one then. 👍

I just a week ago was investigating what looks like OEM on my '98 S70T5 (because the PO brought it to Level 0 with various intake piping), and was getting the part numbers of the things I found, like the inlet snorkel that you showed here. Turns out all the OEM valves seem to be present. I am wondering why you were looking at the PTC in this video, because I am suspecting mine is clogged and keeping gases from getting to the turbo inlet. Maybe in a previous video you had issues with yours. That port was definitely increased in diameter.

Yeah the vacuum tube kept leaking where it connects to the ptc. So I was considering replacing it for the later model one with a wider diameter to give the tube a better fitment.

I dont understand. In the end, the problem was a faulty immobilizer relay?

🤷‍♂️ Sometimes the solution is not clear cut. It could have been a sticking relay or a combination of a number of factors.
