I feel I was GROSSLY misrepresented…Jay’s lap time should have an asterisk next to it! Next time I’m coming to…not finish last. Thanks for the invite! Now…who’s got an old circle track car for sale?
I grew up near an old abandoned dirt track in the woods. As luck would have it my best friends parents had a 4 door Dodge Coronet that loved that track when they were at work and the swimming hole afterwards. His Dad used to be so impressed to see us washing and vacuuming that car when he got home. LOL I'm sure he knew something was up but just couldn't put a finger on it, after all he was raised in the hills of South Carolina. Thanks for the flashback.
Best episode in a long time! Could watch those tracking shots of Death Metal all day. You always wanted a General Lee-type Charger, Finnegan - I think you've absolutely succeeded. Death Metal has become this decade's General Lee.
Great episode, but for the record- I'm not even remotely tired of watching {what you call) slow progress on the Caddy! Side note, we really need to see Tony Angelo dirt track the DMC.
I knew you could do better than opening the mail. I watched LS George make pasta, and wd29 talk shit for an hour. Thank God You guys killed the goddamn television.
I was trying to get down but my schedule wouldn't work! Would love to get a rip in that thing! Last time I drove it was before the new front end so it was a mess! Looks way better now!
@@StayTunedTA you know..... as much as you 'say' you have too many project cars, nothing I've seen in your collection is really set up for dirt. Just putting that out there. :)
I just have to say, the camera work was epic. I am glad there was no drone in the air. It was super cool to see this filmed by the chase cart. Well done!
Brilliant idea to change things up and have some good clean (alll be it dirty) fun!!! Nobody lost today - everyone was a winner!!!! Legendary Car! Thanks for the smiles!
Finnegan I feel like I can relate to you more than freiburger I’ve been a mechanic most of my life then I worked a marine mechanic at one of our local marine repair facilities for about 7-8 years before I left the trade. You have been one of my biggest inspirations. My heart sank went I saw you guys cut up the twinpala I am in the middle of a build with an06 Pontiac Grand Prix gxp with an ls4 I wanted that gear star trans badly. This has been my first ls build and I’m learning a lot. Keep up your hard work and pumping out those videos. Thanks
It's my belief that the DEATH METAL and Rubber Duck should never leave the Compound!!!! Even when they fail they produce epic fun videos!!! God Bless and Thankyou for the epic day in the Dirt!!!
That was kickass Mikie! Nice to see you Enjoying yourself and not stressing over broken parts (even tho I definitely would have had at least 1 more air filter or the cleaner&oil with me😂) . That air filter was a train wreck 😂😂. Looking forward to seeing more videos brother! Sad to see negative comments. Especially for the time you dedicate for our viewing pleasure!😎🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
I love how spent they all are after their runs. It makes me wish Mike was my friend who had a car we could thresh in the dirt. Best. Day. At. Work. ever.
That is a really good roll cage when i was 17 i had an old chevette that we made a roll cage out of 4x4s and nailed them together. the cage wasnt even secured to the car. me and my buddies raced it on the berm for our local flood control river hitting hay bales with the uphill wheel it was our rollover competion. we wore seatbelts. we never even wore helmets and none of us had so much as a scratch when we finished. i won the competion with 12 rolls . was so cool
This reminds me of my morning drive to high school. 7 miles of dirt road, '69 Plymouth Satellite with 318. I ran that road so fast so often the rocker panels were stripped to bear metal and never rusted.
Awesome day Mike! That looked like so much fun that even with my aversion to being in cars as everything is going too fast as a result of a brain aneurysm, I think I’d have enjoyed that! A bunch of guys an old muscle car with a little motor that just keeps going and ALL the RPM’s = a good day.
I really would have thought you would have more subs. Sooo many people don't know this is where the best content is made. C'mon guys!! 2JZ charger!!!!!
My first car was a truck during the mini truck era. A 73 or 74 Datsun truck. 4 cylinder automatic 3 speed. Red with whitewalls and stock hub caps!!! I loved it and wish I still had it!!! Slow and hell. Wish I had the money in the day to fix it up!!!!! Sold it for a Mazda b2000 . 1984. The days of mini trucking!!!!!!
Such a fun time…reminds me of drifting family 3/4 ton 4x4’s on country gravel roads 😂 and sending F series and Silverado’s around corners way too fast at entirely high angles 🤣🤣🤣
This was my adolescence, 69' Dodge Superbee, miles of three rut dirt back roads because, that's where the State Troopers weren't. Drifting was a thing back in the mid 70's. Polyglas tires were not optimal. I wish I still had that car... ...and several others.
That's so much different than, going fast in a straight line. Looks like you all had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed this episode. Keep up the good work.😂😂😂
Dammit! I'm in love with your 510, but I can't enter for the contest, because, Canadian!🤬 Nice episode, trying to destroy Death Metal in the best possible way. Jeebus, it really looked like the Best Day At Work Ever!! Thanks, Fin! And, I'll still buy some shit from your store, even though I can't win the Five 'n' Dime! 🤘❤️🙂🇨🇦
Honda Element Gang!!! They’re great! I just wish it had an extra gear and a bigger fuel tank. Also, bought a shirt, cause my wife misses her 88 mini cooper and is driving an Honda Element that I want for a project!!!! Cmon Datsun!!!
RUclips content is all about having enough projects on hand to keep people engaged, so I totally get why they have to bounce around on projects. However if it were me the only projects that would matter to me at all are the caddy, and the Chevy pickup. I’d love to see the pick up in paint, I think it deserves it.
Not gonna lie, the "that car about ruined my life" story will never stop being one of the most hilarious - and most Roadkill - stories ever lmao. I mean, bummer for Joe and all, but you couldn't script that one. Joe Berry sacrificed so all of us could enjoy this beautiful absolute pile!
Thank Finnegan for such great content and I do love this Charger and has to be my most Favourite car on RUclips.. Hopefully one day I will be able to get to the US to see it and hopefully own one .. Van-Roy from the UK
As much as I want to hate the Death Metal Charger for having a Toyota 2JZ engine instead of a Mopar V-8,I can’t because of the obvious fun you guys were having thrashing around that track. Let the purists be damned! Keep building great cars and putting out awesome videos😎👍
Hey Mike, it would be awesome if you can get John Schneider and Tom Wopat to go out and run this race with you. Thanks for a great video. I really enjoyed it!
Finnegan reminds me of that rich kid that we all knew growing up that had all the newest/coolest toys, yet somehow managed to destroy every single one of them.
That looked epically fun!!!!
You have to admit you've thought of driving Soccer mom around a dirt field.
this is the kevin smith he is talking about in the video ^^^^^^^^
Kevin do you feel like a proud papa since you helped with that build?? LOL
I feel I was GROSSLY misrepresented…Jay’s lap time should have an asterisk next to it! Next time I’m coming to…not finish last. Thanks for the invite! Now…who’s got an old circle track car for sale?
That charger was driving you lol
Just overwhelming every sense you have all at once whipping yalls asses lmao
Followed!
Something about a rear wheel drive car on dirt, best day at work ever.
Growing up watching Bo and Luke it just feels completely natural to watch that charger sliding around in the dirt.

Bunch of boys playing in the dirt like kids!! EPIC EPISODE!!! Thanks for sharing y'all's adventures!!!
Looks awesome! Big time FOMO~!
Tony says, "Hold my beer."
28 seconds later
"Sorry I blew up the 2J Mike."

@@scottthompson3670 you're right, I completely forgot about that. I won't even split hairs about gravel vs dirt. 🤣

Need a shirt that says "oil pressure is a Yes/No question"
40psi or 1psi, oil pressure is oil pressure 🤣
Worlds first 2j powered charger on a dirt track being posted on a Sunday in May. Setting records
Perfect for "Runnin Shine". Rosco wouldn't stand a chance...

Darn I wish Canadians had a chance at winning in the contest... Thanks for another great episode of Finnegan's Garage!
Honestly, I'm happy that this is a FG episode and not a Roadkill. This way I don't have to listen to Friberger cry about the 2J.
I was just rewatching General Mayhem and Deathmetal at Dirt Fish, last night.
This needs to be a racing series. Old muscle cars with 2 J’s in them on dirt.
Or minitrucks with 1js on ice!
Sounds awesome. Connect the car driving to the sound. Nice. Didn’t expect that.
Epic...And the absence of the drone made it have A very cool boys will be boys vibe!!!!
old dodge charger+ dirt track = epic win
It's great that the most reliable vehicle in the fleet is the tiny motor that refuses to die in the car that's trying to kill you.

making all them duke boy memories possible in the funnest car
Such a rad video . Need more of these get out and thrash on something and everyone just have fun 👌😎🤙.
The old dodge, a dirt track, and some super swampers with zeus clips on the cut fender would be a WIN!
I love how spent they all are after their runs. It makes me wish Mike was my friend who had a car we could thresh in the dirt. Best. Day. At. Work. ever.
Mike's the best, he builds, he breaks then he makes it better
Endurance racing is the best racing. I love IMSA.
I like how the track went hard to see and distinguish in areas to clearly visible and clear by the end . Who needs a grader 😂
This is the most duke boys driving I've seen from a charger. Even G/M at dirt fish wasn't this epic
I will NEVER get sick of seeing the deathmetal charger in its natural habitat. AWESOME machine. Love ya guys. Y’all are badass as well. 💜
Reminds me of my cousins and I field running when we were young. Great times. Feels like you are going 100mph.
Good way to spend a day. If I get some land in the country, I will have a dirt track.

Freebird Eurobeat remix (that's actually a thing here on RUclips, I checked. It's amazing.)
