The monster the C10 is, but I love the Roadkill ramp truck even more. @@araybeezy1653 well Mike has shown what a headache they really are. Yes you don’t have to deal with a mechanical arm but I see no other benefits of a hydraulic clutch throw out bearing. Go back to 5 minutes exactly in the video, and you can see the thing blow fluid when they started it. Way back before all the incorrect repairs. What a punch in the crotch
I'm jellies, I've raced bombers & street stocks on Quarter & half mile tracks for A long time, but never some place like Bristol! That looked like a lot of fun. I'm old & banged up now!
Quick tip mike, drill an 1/8 or smaller pilot prior to using the rotobroach. The pilot size is 1/8” on the tool. Typically i drill slightly under 1/8 to prevent the bit from walking any in the event your 1/8” bit egged the hole. Tricks of the trade 👍🏼
Those Blair tools "mini hole saw bits" are intended for drilling out factory spot welds. The center point is spring loaded for helping with centering, while the purpose of the hole-saw looking outter circumference is meant to cut just the outter thin layer of a factory welded sheet metal separating it from the underneath layer & in theory leaving the bottom sheet metal layer uncut.
I'd say you missed the last couple videos on this truck then. 😂 Mr Finnegan needs absolutely no help destroying clutches. In fact, he needs someone to help him stop destroying them, because every third or fourth episode is about him destroying a clutch on one vehicle or another 🤣 it kills me, at 5 minutes sharp you can see the transmission blowing fluid from where the lines go in when they started it up. I thought immediately the remote bleeder line he has on there. Turns out the line from the master in pretty much the same spot. What I can't figure is how they missed it, with video evidence, and days in advance of the trip. A punch in the crotch for sure
Dennis Anderson seems a top bloke. Was a riot on the Faster with Finnegan episode and seen him on a couple other things where he's just the nicest man to whoever he meets.

Anderson is such a cool guy. My favorite truck has always been the Grave Digger. Tye and the FF team really upped their game with the car safety. 43:00 you could see the hose up against the clutch. Congrats on eighth place!!
You can watch it blow fluid at 5 minutes flat, and then watch them never figure it out. It'll be painful when he reads one of these comments or finds that little juicy bit of footage that could have saved all the trouble way back in the beginning.
22:47 heard the drill click click as if the direction button was pushed. Also Watching just before 22;47 it Sure seems that the drill was turning in the correct/clockwise while looking from the back of the drill.
On the bell housing holding oil issue, next time it is off the engine, couldn't you make a couple shallow cuts with the death wheel on the mating surface next to that lowest bolt hole just to create some tiny passages for any oil to drip out on its own? I would do that rather than having to pull the lower bolt anytime I suspect oil. Man I feel for you with that hydraulic release bearing. 14:15 watch the piece of welding wire come out of the throw-out bearing.. that definitely had something to do with it. I wish I could come to Georgia and finish the bodywork on that thing and paint it.. All that money you have into it, it should get a paint job, even if it's just one color satin. I'd make a bulkhead on the side of the bell housing and route your lines to it and then have a second set of lines come up to it and then you could have a T with a bleeder on one side so you could bleed it without pulling the trans and then just PTFE the hell out of the lines to make sure they seal.
It has a remote bleeder line, a nice braided stainless one. Go back to the first 5 minutes of the video, you'll see it. At 5 minutes sharp you'll also see when they start it, blowing fluid right out of the lines, certainly when whoever pressed the pedal to start the truck. I immediately assumed it was the remote bleeder valve either loose or defective and wouldn't hold pressure when under load, cause it worked in the air, but not once they set her down. Turns out it was the line from the master right next to it. Either way, had he watched the footage from seeing that camera under there, which I assumed was the whole point in putting it there, he would have seen it and avoided all the mess days in advance.
24:03 you can also tighten the tension on that guide pin of the roto-broach, little Allen key near the back tightens the spring inside, so it doesn’t pop out as easy. And I also drill a 1/8in hole to help the guide pin.
47:25 - Gordammit!,... I want the front end off one of those Dodges to fit on to my Grand Voyager - we never got the Dodge version Down Under. And then it dies. Just like the one at the SpaceX Starship launch.
