I followed a seminar by Sifu Emin Boztepe in Italy at the late 90's. Never felt such power and skill by anyone. He also gave a great seminar, he was very enjoyable and open to practice with anyone. He now teaches in konstantinople/Istanbul I believe, I hope he is doing fine

38:36 to me.. the wall bag was really just something that gets you used to piercing the target. Basically stabbing our bottom 3 into the bag in an explosive motion. It’s just an extension of the elbow. Timed correctly, we can peel off a spike, remove it, that as another lands. But again. Focused, accurate, speed, power, intensity. Using the body to beef it. 😉🤟🤛👍😀

The Gracies knew he was high level sifu Emin that is , that they told him that he has to wait in line!! But they offered Mike Tyson to fight in the UFC, right away because they knew he had no knowledge of martial arts!! But Mike was making more money in boxing than the UFC, so he turned the Gracies down!! Sifu Emin had alot of knowledge in fighting including the ground game & he knew it's weaknesses!! His high level attributes was the major threat!! In fact he wanted to challenge the Gracies with no RULES!!

The Universal Truth is a bit more than that Sifu....There really is a best way to do it using all the technology and science availible. "Better is the Enemy of Good" Si-Geung KRK. But it is We the PEOPLE that get in the way...
First the best way to do it biomechanically (including reaction time, the process of programing for use under stress, and for use in fighting not sports) and then second the best way to use this with each individual body. Third the truth with any human social engagement involves culture and religion,...and EGO, POLITICS, and LIES. You discribe the science half and touch on the cultural issue (reach underneath for backfist). But the Universal TRUTH is people do it.
Most macho male egos won't accept theory from someone else, it is a "prove it to me" mentality...so Martial Arts constantly restarts itself with blunt force trama fueled with rage and slowly works it's way out of the ego trap for each of us individually. THe martial art itself is constatly restarting at the beginning. We COPY the big strong hero and then invent reasons it won't work for the small wristed 150 pounders...The hero worship and failed science is part of the Universal Truth too, a part we do not seem to be overcoming culturally very well. Thus, hundreds of styles and "best ways" to learn martial arts...all trying to find the same thing.

As someone with multiple schools in the US (and some of them with stiff competition!), a magazine, books, immersion courses and on and on..you've done very well for yourself in the field of Physical Culture! Hi Sifu Alex, love the podcast! You guys are awesome! I have two questions that I'm hoping make it to the podcast to have them answered.
First question is with all the Wing Chun out there no matter the lineage, you always seem to see just chain punches. You never really see Wing Chun guys throwing hooks, or upper cuts like the lifting punch in WT. Why is that?
Also it seems to me like some Sifu's structure their students membership within their associations so as to keep them loyal for years and taking more than a decade to learn the entire system including the weapons. Honestly at times I felt like Leung Ting had a similar structure. Having trained in Kung Fu over 25 years I know the importance of solid basics and fundamentals but I've also seen some students with the ability to pick up quick.
Has breaking away from the IWTA allowed you to have the freedom to have students excel at their own pace? Thank you! Much respect to you. You are one of the few instructors that I admire that teaches very well, in fine detail and is very astute and can explaining things clearly.

@@Danny-el7ok I tell you friend that if Royce wins against EMIN maybe!! But Royce will not make it to the 2nd round!! Like what that Samoan pounding the shit out of Royce that Royce could not fight again because he could not SEE!!! HE TOLD HIS FATHER NO MAS!!!!° & the Samoan lost because he was gased the HELL OUT!! image if that was EMIIN throwing extreme straight blast between Royce inside guard 100 miles an hour literally speaking getting a busted nose!! The hell with seeing TRIPLE!! the blood that Royce would see running down his nose would have caused OXYGEN DEPRIVATION plus the cracked nose!!! As far as the undefeated RICKSON!! He would not participate in it because of the rules!!

@@Bartron_Flat_Earth I think you are right that if no biting ,eye gouging & groin strikes! Emin would have turned it down!! I think I remember reading that !! But I am sure if these 3 principles was added in EMIN would have definitely had a GOOD CHANCE of winning! ANTI GRABBING TECHNIQUES WORK!! WING CHUN loves the centerline !! & remember STYLES MAKE FIGHTS ,BUT, RULES MAKE STYLES!! It is a SHAME that Royce would fight a incompetent BOXER!! Who had no footwork, rhythm or even a game plan!! He was a sick boxer with asthma !!! & just wanted to get a good PAYCHECK out of that f,,, ing CAGE!!!! YOU SHIT TALKER!!

We can have all sorts of saucy videos with salacious titles like “master rams student with long pole” and it’s literally just a video of me training long pole with a student
