@TheKungFuGenius...bring him for a part 2. he has so much wisdom and knowledge that the fans will love to hear. great insight about MA and life. An amazing guy.
Being a Australian and from Melbourne like Richard Norton and knowing some of these people, fantastic podcast 🙋♂️🙆🤝👌🙏💪👍✊👊
I really glad that Rich took part in big cinema about Furiosa, he's in great shape despite his age.
This was great! I love listening to Richard Norton talk about his career! He did so many Hong Kong productions like Cynthia so there is much to learn from with that and also his background with Chuck Norris and martial arts practice in general. Thank you 🙏🏼
Dare to participate. That was a wisdom nugget
He looks great for his age.
Great interview thank you for this! I was introduced to Sensei Norton through the "Octagon."
back in the 80's.
Fantastic interview with a truly brilliant man! Congratulations!😊🙏❤️
Great Episode. Sifu Alex Richter, this was a fantastic interview. Richard Norton is a Legend. Thanks for posting this my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it
What an inspiring interview!
Nice interview one of my favorite martial artist from the 80s
Born 1950 and is 74 years old. Unbelievable.
What a great interview!
I was at the Sydney show in 1978, Richard’s demonstration was awesome.
Great interview! Supporting actors never get the billing or fame they deserve so it's good you could shine some light on Richard Norton. Of course I had seen him in many of the movies discussed but was always focused on Jackie or Sammo so never paid him the attention he deserved. Interesting martial artist!
Wow great interview thanks
Excellent work getting The Norton on! I'm not sure a dull interview with him exists he's a great story teller and comes across cool as f*!#
Absolutely! He’s fantastic.

New subscriber here. 👍
Welcome aboard!
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Your questions were well written and professional, and your guest was an absolute gentleman.
Much appreciated!
Just finnished watching this. Holy cow what a great episode! And Richard Norton is just the best guy. My fave episode so far. 😁 great work
Mine too!
Dunno that Richard Norton was a bodyguard for lotsa famous artists. Wonder what he learned from Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. 😉. My all time fav band.
And he came from the same country as my Sifu David Peterson., Melbourne Australia
Wow, the classic bad guy from my favorite childhood movies. So humble and quite the gentleman.
8 years with Major Tom , fascinating.
A deadly Classy Gentleman..Richard Norton...!!!
Great interview, many thanks. Let's hope he does get to finish his book, would be a fantastic read.
KFG.....you also had that book? Man. That was almost like a BIBLE to me as an 8 year old. My dad would Xerox pics out of that at work so i could hang them on my wall at home! Super happy to see Richard on here too. This is the best podcast
Yes, as a child I had both the hardcover and the soft cover version. I gave the soft cover version to one of my best friends in high school, but kept my original hardcover, which is now signed by the author, Ric Meyers!
You lucky bastard! Mine was a raggedy copy from the local library. It was a time I had discovered in a dusty corner that not even the librarians frequented in this huge warehouse of a library. It was conveniently next to two other books that have become part of my being.....The Zombies That Ate Pittsburgh (about George Romero), and Roger Corman's Autobiography. I felt like I hit the jackpot. I took out Meyer's book so much that when I turned 11, they sold it to me for a quarter when they had a book sale .
Being a martial art nerd when we were young was the coolest thing ever, was it not? Def6laid the groundwork for the rest of our lives, hahaha.
This was amazing btw. And thank you for talking Jiujitsu with him. I'm a lifelong BJJ guy, and I respect the hell out of all the old guard of martial arts taking jiujitsu seriously.
I love Norton's Filipino films, especially the one he did with Bruce Le and Dick Wei. He also did Spear of Destiny with Bruce AND Hang Jang Lee!! Please .....have him on again!
Take care. I sincerely that hope you, Mike, and Dr. Dreison are all doing well
You’re a man after my own heart! Please let me know if you ever make it to NYC!
Will do, good sir!!
Great interview Alex well done I’m from Melbourne as well I fought in zen. Do Kai tournament s
Fabulous interview well done again 😊
Hi Alex! Hi Richard! “Painful?” Great interview great anecdotes good to see and guest that history. “Painful?” LOL
Richard was a great guest
Richard is a good friend of David Peterson I believe
@1:05:13 Yes, the new Mad Max spinoff (Furiosa) movie looks great! Definitely in my most anticipated movies of 2024.
Bowie and Jagger are famous brands of knives. Mick Jagger practiced judo when he was a teenager.
Absolutely awesome!!! :)
Hope Cynthia Rothrock is on next to go with the theme of 80s hong kong OG's & Sammo stories 👊
Yep true legend, great job 👍🏾
Great interview 👍👍👍👍fantastic.
Glad you enjoyed it
5:30 This is cool! I don’t know him but I’m definitely gonna look into it. Guy seems mad chill. Judo huh? Ya, reminds me of my wrestling days. Judo was included in our early teen years at KARATE CLASSES here in the Boston area. It was AIKIDO, JUDO, JUI JITSU (Japanese) and KIOKUSHIN. All in one class. Right at the YMCA. Put that with a sound high school wrestling pedigree and I learned quite a lot. I think now as I get older I find myself wanting to train stuff that works instantly. An easier martial science seems smart. That was a good interview. I love hearing from our various pioneers. The octagon. 1980. With #chucknorris and he did films with #cynthiarothrock too. Nice. A sure fire legend. 58:12 That was funny how he mentioned needing to know THE DEAL when acting out a scene. 😂❤thats true! If you know where the character is coming from and going, you can add the right tone to it. Emotional investment. 😛💥💯💡1:00:47 seeing Jackie do what he does reminds me, for any GUA CHOY FAN who likes HONG KONG STYLE FIGHTING you don’t wanna miss Jackie do his thing. Lotta good traps, lotta good attacks, which is difficult to produce. Good attackers in the films. Excellent. 1:04:34 wow.. this is truly great. Charlize Theron that’s high level for a legend even. Absolutely great Richard. 😎💥
Nice!! Video!!
good day to you Sifu Alex Richter, I didn't know that there are famous celebrity martial artists who are your guests on the channel, maybe next time benny the jet urquiedez I don't know if his full name is correct but I hope to see it on your channels too someday
I was at the Melbourne town hall where chuck norris did the demo it was packed. My school did a demo mrs pang that is.
Awesome
Amazing looking for 74
Absolutely
#richardnorton 👏 what a class act?! I will definitely look up some of his movies 🎥!
And, I too love sai! As a 112 pound, 5’2” woman, that weapon suits me well. And, it ‘can be’ practical - I rest it up the inside of my forearm in a coat sleeve when I walking dogs on winter nights. 🤫😉 if you want to learn it, and you do come to Louisville to visit the #MuhammadAli Center sometime Alex, you could learn it at #shaolindo - where I practice #kungfu! 🙏💫
Interesting 🤔 because I believe, White Crane is the sister to Wing Chun, might be wrong!
Not so much a sister but a mother
No new episode for Feb. 19th??
Up now!
@TheKungFuGenius ...Cool!! Whew, I thought things got real🤣🤣🤣...thank you Sifu!!
