Apple purposefully slows down older phones over time. If you buy a brand new iphone 6 with original ios it shipped with, it will run like new and very smooth (Ofc no apps will support it tho lol). Thats why I stick with Android!
@@killcrap1 Yes but I don't have to pay over a 1000 dollars for my phone when I get it, yet it runs the same. I used to have an older google pixel I bought off a deal for $400, still runs very smooth.

Had a mid range samsung and it was unbearably slow on the newest update. Switched to an iphone 11 in 23 and never looked back, still runs smoothly

most probably becuase the battery doesnt last longer i too noticed a downfall in my screentime after changing to iphone 7
It's nice to reduce screen time, but it turns out bad for using the phone itself :)
