Cabbage can be grown in a range of soil types. I've had success growing Cabbage in rich, well drained soil with plenty of composted organic matter.

We have used a homemade blend using our worm compost Tea with good results. We put most of our energy into feeding the soil though.

I may have forgotten. I think it may have been 'Copenhagen'. I also often grow 'Flat Dutch'. Currently I am starting to harvest this year's cabbage and they are looking great.
