I had to watch this video over and over a few days. And gradually, I began to put some of these suggestions into place especially reducing my sugar intake, exercise and a getting good night's rest. Thank you what a difference it has made. This is my #1 video on Ascension Presents! Keep up the good work in Christ.

All of us are terrible actually. We only hold on to Christ who said He came for us the sinners and He gave His life while we were still sinners. We are all a work in the making. Thank God we have His grace. He cooperates with the little we have and makes it great. Take good care

I think also sometimes the root of lack of willpower is fear. Because if we can really master our will then we have no more excuses to not strive for holiness, and that can be scary. On our path to holiness our identity will be completely transformed and I think deep down we can have a fear of that radical change.

Chicken or Egg? Eating well and exercise require a significant effort of will for those of us who have become habituated to overeating and not exercising. This is my struggle - an insufficient will to do the very things that would improve my will. I pray for the will do these things and then I don't do them. I suspect this is the Lord's way of telling me that I have to pick up my own cross and carry it - certainly, he could do it for me, but we don't value that which costs us nothing and we will simply squander it away. I know I can do it, I just need to habituate myself to a little suffering (and relatively speaking - it is very little suffering).
On the upside, I may have stumbled upon a way to motivate myself - but only time will tell.
