I think it’s fine where it is. Ladder straight down. When not in use, close a HINGED barn door (with an X on it). Bam! Done. 👍

In my opinion, I think leaving it open altogether with a hand rail across the whole end opening for a ladder. That opens up the space. Not so closed in. Maybe close in the storage end to hide "stuff"....

I’m pretty sure y’all said sliding barn door originally when y’all were talking about it in the beginning when it was decided to do a grandbaby loft area

Why are the openings so small. Especially if you're in the storage area? It seems it would be difficult to crawl in and try to retrieve a box and get yourself out. Railings across would solve the issue, both spaces.

Barn door definitely won't work....mine falls off and it could be dangerous!!! Everything seems a little askew. I would match the other side completely.

No way!!! Your Daughters name is Megan? That's my Daughter in laws name as well. And she has a Daughter named Emma (along with a 4 year old named Daisy and a 4 month old named Demi). And she's the one who just graduated from A&M in December. I told you we had alot in common, and it wasn't just that we both live in Texas! Haha Wow.
