After over two months of using the controller since the firmware update, I have experienced zero Bluetooth Xbox controller disconnects. Finally, the issue is solved for me...
I already updated my Xbox controller but the problem not solved. So, I updated the Intel Bluetooth Driver on my laptop and the problem is solved finally!. That means you need to update both the Xbox Controller and Bluetooth Driver.
Updated Controller Firmware plus Bluetooth and WiFi drivers and Motherboard drivers... Even Set the Option in device manager to Not shutdown device due to Energy reasons... Still randomly disconnects... I will Just use a cable now
After Updating. I still had to remove the controller several times & re-add it back. Had to remove it from Device Manager & reboot PC. Seems to finally be staying connected. Hope this helps.
Yo...one year later and this video still coming in clutch. Shame it took me this long to even bother looking into the issue. I always just left the controller plugged in.
My Xbox controller can't reconnect to my Windows 11 PC via bluetooth, once the controller is turned off. I'd have to re-pair the device and restart the bluetooth. For now, I think updating the firmware fixes this issue, and I can seamlessly reconnect my Xbox controller. Life saver!
Hi. what kind of bluettoth do you use? I have generic usb 5.0 bluetooth dongle. I made the controller pair with bluetooth device manager, only once. But cant get to connect to pc via bluetooth afterwards. I did usb-cable firmware update recently but cannot make pc recognice the xbox series controller via bluetooth (i press the damn small button 3 seconds, and so on).
I have a new laptop and tried several times to pair it with the controller. It did not work. Found your video and did this and the moment it finished updating the PC picked it up and paired it with no problem...Thanks...
Thank you, this really helped... Couldn't figure out why my brand new controller wouldn't connect to bluetooth, even though it showed up on the bluetooth device list.. but sometimes it would.. Did this update, and boom, connects everytime..
Bro thank you so much!!! I've had this problem for almost a year now with the disconnecting getting more and more frequent. I went to no batteries+cable but it also stopped working properly after some time. Kinda fun that the solution all along was so easy, cause you have no idea how much times i've died because of this.....
Could not update using the Xbox accesories app on win 10. But was able to update the firmware connecting the controller to an xbox with a usb cable. Works in windows now too.
Worked for me! I can finally get through a Hollow Knight boss without it disconnecting mid-fight XD Edit: Never mind.... I thought it worked for a minute, but then it disconnected again :/
@@RememberingEverything90s it can also be some sort of app that can be interfering with it, maybe try to remember what you installed and then your Xbox controller started disconnecting that was my case
I had to update the controller 4 times. It said it was all updated. Would unplug and replug. Then said it needed an update. After that knock on wood it has been working fine. Thanks for the idea of apps in the background. It could of actually been that because I turned off Game Mode and Xbox overlay as well. Last night it worked for the whole 2 hours I played. Thanks again for all the ideas 💡
Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I have the Starfield Edition X/S controller and it paired great for awhile (played through all of Hollow Knight with it) but now it won't stay connected for more than 10 seconds at a time. Even after updating my bluetooth drivers and updating the controller firmware with the USB-C cable, it constantly disconnects. I'll keep looking for a solution and I'll reply here if I figure out a different fix.
I have another issue: on bluetooth adapter I have instabilities such input being really delayed (even a few seconds sometimes), not readed or just random input when I'm doing nothing. Firmware updated and it works perfectly with cable, only bluetooth give me issues... It'd be annoying having to buy 30€ adapter only for the controller
this is happening to me and I just got my xbox series controller :( I don't know what could be the problem. Initially it worked perfectly and now the controller just goes random input sometimes. Did you fix it? please tell me how if you did I'm desperate
@@javiervergara5695 I just moved the receiver from the back of the PC to the front USB, it's a mix of the distance (even tho the PC is still really close) and the noise that USB ports make (USB make noises that disturb some frequencies, hence why you should plug input devices -mainly if they're wireless- not too close to each other; also USB 3.0 makes more noise than 2.0, so you want to stick with that since you're not going to saturate the band anyway with a Bluetooth adapter)
Hello. After updating firmware my controller dont recognised bluetooth. Dont know what to do. Rolling back firmware Is not possible in Xbox accesories app..
I'll leave another tip: To directly connect to PC Bluetooth, it seems like you gotta hold on to the Xbox button for SLIGHTLY longer than you think to immediately connect to the PC instead of having it look for an Xbox.
when I hook up the controller to the pc via usb C it it vibrates but does not like connect, I have it wired seemingly only for power but connection still happens via BT, and it seems I cannot update it via BT?
That fix might sound stupid enough to work for me I've ad regular disconnects with a new xbox controller for quite some time now. It disconnects randomly and after like 30-60 seconds it reconnects. This happens almost daily. Gonna try that fix now, thank you already for that video!
Hello, I need help with my Xbox controller. I recently connected it to my console and when I tried to connect it to my computer it didn't work. It doesn't connect with neither Bluetooth or usb, Bluetooth does not recognize the controller and when I try to use a usb it just keeps on blinking, I've also reinstalled by Bluetooth drivers. Is there any way to fix this?
I ran into this issue with my new pc. Try removing the controller by going to device manager on pc and then add Bluetooth device choose the first option to add Bluetooth make sure controller is on and in discovery mode. As soon as the pc detects the controller click it as fast as you can it should pair.
my elite 2 controller disconnects time to time on my pc. its really annoying when playing games like apex and i stand still and get killed off. this issue started to happen to me when i plugged it in my xbox and the controller got updated there. then i remember when i connected back to my pc i saw a message saying the firmware is too new and theirs no avaidable updates for my controller on pc. it frustrating and i cant seem to find a fix
i keep trying to play apex on my PC with the controller but when i try to it just doesn't connect and when i try to move stuff it will connect but then disconnect 2 minutes later.
I didn’t have a problem with my controller disconnected from Bluetooth before I updated the controller software. Now it disconnects after about 30 minutes of playing but automatically reconnects.
Hi, I got the elite series 2 and when plugged in it works fine but when connected via Bluetooth the left analog stick drifts in game, at least with FIFA 23. Any help?
I get disconnects as well as the joystick seems to get suck randomly. I have mini USB, not usb-c. Problem is I can't connect via USB because the port on the controller is broken.. 🙁 Anyone have a fix for this?
Updated firmware, my controller (brand new) gets disconnected for 1 second each few minutes. I also tried disbling the power saving option other guides comment
Great video, didn't fix my problem, unfortunately. Mine is connected via bluetooth, but doesn't do anything. It only works plugged in. Anyone know how to fix this? Already checked all my drivers
Thank you! All of the Microsoft Support documentation and not one of the articles mentioned the Xbox Accessories app or updating the controller itself. They don't even know how to support their own products!
It might be dirt in your controller if it causes a drift, you can use special WD-40 spray ( the special one specific for electronical shit!) fixed my controllers countless times :)
@@cmdrasumoto9658 I don’t think it’s drift, I just probably don’t get a good connection cause it happens with almost every controller i’ve tried before so I now just play with a cord and it works perfectly fine!
