If we the smarphone users wouldn't buy smartphones with no headphone jack, and we would tell our needs for headphone jacks and so on, then smartphone brands are shit without our money, so we should all tell our needs and for that amonut of money that I pay for a smarphone they should provide me what I need, and we most need at least 4000 mAh batteries, removable batteries, microSDs, headphone jacks, stereo speakers, IR blasters, FM radio, at least 6gb of RAM, one good rear camera not two or three or more, but customers point of view doesn't matter anymore:(.

I clicked on another channel's video of this phone but my peripheral vision saw dave's video in the corner of my subscribed channel videos and i instantly closed that and clicked on this video. I have never closed a video tab so fast in my life to open another.
The missing headphone jack is definetly a dealbreaker. If you play good games on a phone which should look awsome at 120Hz like Need For Speed, GTA SA, Modern Combat 5, even games like Lego Star Wars, you probably have to charge it up while playing, even though it has a 4000mAh battery. And when playing games you want good sound, but when you are sitting in the train for example you have to use headphones.

Thomas Tran it's not a gaming phone , it's a phone fr gamers which means that it can also be used as a daily driver , yeah it's heavy on gaming side hrnce it has those great sounding speaker ( which r great fr gaming) and even if a phone has the jack it's not necessary that u wid get better quality and there are a lot of wireless headphones with great sound quality and at last get some etiquettes bro , it's pretty easy to use bad language to try to dominate someone but u can't change my opinion

They are, Apple was rumored to be adding it to the iPhone X but I guess they saved it for next year's refresh
I think it'll take a while because most oled displays can't quite achieve 120hz and because all phones are kind of gravitating towards amoled, it might take 2-3 years
Beastly specs and lower than other flagships. Just a shame it didn't come with Oreo on release. Looking forward to getting this phone for the channel.

They used separate amps for each set of speakers. I imagine adding a headphone jack would be a problem with fitting the amps in there too. So it probably came down to better speakers or a headphone jack.
Wistbacka how about the circuitry that has the DAC, amp and everything else required? Just because the actual port won't take up much space doesn't mean the accompanying electronics won't take much as well.

I thought so as well before I got some Apple Airpods and connected them via Bluetooth to my Note 8. Man they are great! Forget the cord.
you cant get better sound quiality for that price with a wired headphone and even with bluetooth heaphones, but true wireless it's something new so a few years will make it better sound quiality as it did with bluetooh headphones

Sounds amazing on paper, no gimmicks or uncomfortable 110% screen to body ratio, good build quality and battery life, acceptable price tag for SD 835...
Too bad it's gonna be hard to market, most people won't understand what a 120hz display, 4000mAh battery or 8GBs of RAM means for a phone, and they will be turned off by stuff like "the bezels are too big" or "it looks ugly".
Still doesn't mean I'll have the money to buy it anytime soon, and people that already do probably don't play games and work harder, while using their phones to show off... So I guess my opinion doesn't matter anyways.

I just came back from the being at the keynote where they had the hands on. The phone is pretty good, the screen is stand out feature and the high refresh rate is super slick. Seems like it'd be a solid choice for anyone looking for a flagship phone

I love it! Great job Razor. If they can add waterproofing and have camera that matches the top guys I would definitely buy this. Sadly waterproofing and camera is my top 2 requirements. Will be eagerly awaiting the next version of this

Awesome design by Razer, hope they go for a tablet version too eventually. My Shield tablet is starting to show it's age as much as I love it and I haven't seen any new tablets that I'd like to replace it with that have around the same screen size

I bought a GIGABYTE AERO 15X as my daily laptop. Casual gamer here. But I wanted a laptop with really good performance that wasn't blasted with red dragons and would look good in a business meeting. THIS PHONE IS EXACTLY THAT. Stealthy Beast. Even if you never use it for gaming, it's a clean stock android phone with beast specs for us power users out there.
It's amazing that we need to go "gamer-y" just to get above average performance from our tech these days.

Wolfdogelite yeah it's a pretty huge miss, which is a shame cause otherwise it's a very compelling device. Personally I'm not an audiophile and prefer BT, but especially amongst Razer fans, I'm clearly in the minority.

Awesome 120hz screen, but no VR Daydream virtual cinema to stream PC games!! Awesome dual camera setup... without OIS. Awesome dual speakers... with no headphone jack. Excellent build quality, but with no wireless charging and no water resistance. And again, no PC-to-phone game streaming everyone was expecting.

bluetooth is an alternative, not a replacement. When you remove the headphone jack you are creating an environment that is more difficult for the user, not easier. I myself use bluetooth headphones for the most part, but I will always choose a phone with a headphone jack rather than without one, even if I like the company that opts out of the headphone jack more (eg. Google vs Samsung), because the option is still there. Maybe the BT headphones aren't charged, or they're not with me, or they break. Now wired is the solution, and I'll never accept an adapter or dongle as a replacement for the real thing (especially because there really is no excuse for removing one, Apple only did it to drive up sales of their Beats brand BT headphones and their Airpods, and every other company just followed suit).

My Nubia Z17 already has a full metal case, almost bezelless design, 128gb of storage, 8gb of ram and a snapdragon 835... For 350$ less... Im not so impressed with this phone.

Doesnt have a headphone jack either now that i think of it (yea that might be a con, i got used to it), but the battery life is pretty good for a 3200mah battery.
But then again, people would probably be buying the phone the battery life, screen, and speakers

Switch will improve a lot in battery life once the SOC makes the jump to 10-7nm. Current switch uses a 20nm maxwell tegra, they could easily could the power draw by half in the next revision, now if they change the screen to OLED they cut some power power.

I really think that companies should go to more refresh rate screen on phones, instead a resolution higher than 1080p if we can't see 2k or even 4k with a regular use anyway(VR more Likely). I've never seen a screen more than 60Hz in my life, but honestly, just knowing the technology, i think it would cost less money, and on the battery thank putting an 2k screen at least.
