Kelly king I’ve broke 4 rods this year and lost the complete set up at Estacada.... I think I’m just numb to it now. I’ve been this way all my life. I don’t get it. Even in my early 20’s I bought a really nice Fenwick trout rod (300+) and told myself I would never break it. I’m not even sure that rod made it through one year... I need to get a case.

Yes but loosen up your drag or you may break your rod! I've caught plenty of sturgeon on my salmon rod. The fight will be longer as you cant put as much pressure on the fish🤙
