    That spot lock in the kayak is just mind-blowing! I fish off anchor sometimes but it is a lot of work to hold myself in position with the pedals and/or the paddle. Very cool!

    Anchoring on the Columbia is why I ended up getting the AP120. Scary every time with shipping, debris and snagging up. Great video.

    Giant ships passing by and giant fish passing below... I'd feel awfully small in a kayak. Fun to watch though.
    I have a request for a kokanee video. I've seen the comments asking for more details about depth, temperature, setbacks, etc... people are basically trying to figure out exactly what you're doing differently, because your advice doesn't contain any secrets but you consistently produce limits. It might be cool to have a "step by step limit" video (or series?) where you chronicle every decision you made between 0 fish and 10 fish. So just calling out every time you change a lure, change depth, change setback, choose new location, and explaining why.
    It could be made a series by highlighting how those decisions change in different conditions. A "step by step limit" might be very different when fish are deep vs shallow, or spring vs fall, for example.

    Good video man really appreciate the video. You always catch some nice fish on your video. I'm sorry to hear about the cut on your hand. I hope everything is okay and you don't need stitches in your hand. I have cut my hand real bad before fishing and had to get like 30 stitches in my hand. Hope you recovered well. Thank you for sharing your video.

      It's healing nicely. I hit it with a lot of soap and peroxide when I got home. You got to be careful though with water injuring. Friends of mine scratched his leg fly fishing in Colorado and almost died from an anti-biotic resistant strain of staph.

    I know this is an old video, but have you ever spot locked for Salmon at the Willemette Falls? Try twitching a big 1-2oz jig over the top of them.

    If you're looking into more Willamette Valley fishing, Henry Hagg Lake is one I've been trying to crack without much success. They recently stocked it with 1000 trophy size trout. Would love to see your approach to the lake!

    The barge bite works on sturgeon like it does on catfish.

    • @spiltmilt
      @spiltmilt  3 года назад +1

      Any heavier sinker slide will do, look for swivels rated to 300 lbs or more, and at least 6 oz cannonball
