I’ve always enjoyed the great outdoor. I moved to Oregon in 68 from California. Your videos make me wish I was young again. 30/40s I’m in my late 60s now. And would love to be able go outdoors by myself. Like you do. I really do like your vids. I like how when you get excited about catching a big fish. That laugh of yours is so amazingly funny. My wife is constantly asking me what’s so funny! Are what are you laughing at. Your show is very relaxing for me. So keep up the great work.

Been binge watching this channel most the day but I took about a hour and went to the rover behind my house and caught 4 brown trout this channel gets me motivated to go fishing.
@@NWFishingSecrets Thank you. The Uncompahgre river actually runs on the edge of my property here in Colorado so i'm blessed, it's loaded with brown trout and some rainbows as well. I would say the browns outnumber the rainbows 4 to1. PS still binge watching your channel as I type this, i'm addicted.

I ran into Matts fishing in Mendocino, CA. Such a cool guy. He was shooting a spearfishing video with some other, RUclipsrs, Seasons to Taste. (Also good content if you like fishing/foraging/cooking) but anyway... I wanted to fish with Matts but he had to leave early because he unfortunately got food poisoning. We exchanged texts and hopefully I’ll get the opportunity to show him the lingcod/cabezon spot down the cabin’s private staircase next July. :))

Just what I needed to see after trying several different corkie yarn combo's today. I'll let you know how the egg's work out for me. How long a leader are you using, it looks pretty short.
@@craigcheesman1848 Thanks for the response. I tied up about a 2½' leader with a red #2 hook, then adjusted the depth with my bobber stop. I hooked into a nice King... Too bad I didn't get the hook set deep enough, but I know I cured my eggs right.
Heck yea! Sorry I'm late to the conversation! I just uploaded a detailed video on bobber & egg fishing. Leader can be really short. 12-24", then adjust depth with the bobber stopper! Fish Onnn!!! 🎣
Thank you!!! For the underwater footage (both shark video & this one) I'm using a GoPro, and a custom rig that I've built myself. There are production cameras for this, but I hear their quality sucks. GoPros are awesome, so I just stick with those.

How long a leader are you using, it looks pretty short.

I tied up about a 2½' leader with a red #2 hook, then adjusted the depth with my bobber stop. I hooked into a nice King... Too bad I didn't get the hook set deep enough, but I know I cured my eggs right.

Totally depends on the spot. I would set it to be about 1-3 feet off the bottom. Just experiment and see where you get the hits! Bobber down! 🎣

Thank you!!! For the underwater footage (both shark video & this one) I'm using a GoPro, and a custom rig that I've built myself. There are production cameras for this, but I hear their quality sucks. GoPros are awesome, so I just stick with those.
