This foundation is, in my opinion, a nearly-exact dupe for the Sephora 10 Hour Wear Perfection. I haven't seen anything come much closer in terms of similarity.
The consistency when it comes out of the pump, the amount of product that comes out of the pump, the dry-down time, the dry-down appearance, etc. Literally everything. The main difference [besides price] is the expiration time period, shade range, & that this one has an SPF.
I received my Sephora foundation as a gift. Being combo but mostly oily, it's workable but I still feel pretty ambivalent. Like... There are foundations that I don't have to work so hard to make them look nice. But I'm not altogether disappointed -- the finish really is very natural without being overly dewy when you powder or blot. So despite its failings, it's nice.
So for any normal-skinned people, I do think this would work. But it does emphasize texture a bit [I got the same issue as Cassie with the bunching on the sides of my nose]. So this is actually a pretty great dupe, IMO.
Also, bread & sleep sound good right about now.
ZijnShayatanica I'm glad I came across this comment because the Sephora foundation is my FAVORITE foundation. It's just killer on my wallet lol, so to find a dupe in a wonderful price range is awesome! I will have to give this a try myself, thank you!!
ZijnShayatanica I bought it as a cruelty free replacement for my L'Oréal true match I feel like it's great for anyone that liked the true match as well. It is more hydrating tho but I needed it.
I have an oily t zone and I tried out this foundation. It made me break out and looked disgusting after an hour. I don't know how it'd work on other skin types, but I threw mine in the trash.

Jen, she said it was a certain kind of "gel" nail, it had a name in front of it that I can't remember. She said she can't use nail polish on them, so they're always clear coated. Leanne, it has been helping her quite a bit. She looks Fabu!

Definitely try the Murad Oil Control Mattifer !!! I'm super oily as well but oh boy has it made a HUGE difference in my life! I use it every single day now. I know it's pricey which kills me but it's worth every penny 🙂

First, i have to say - I love your videos and your reviews are so refreshing. It's so great to hear your thoughts and honesty. I wasn't sure of e.l.f. products at first, but I've been pleasantly surprised. I also found that their foundations looked great in the beginning and then I would get a bit oily throughout the day - one of the downfalls of oily skin I suppose. I tested all of their primers and found that for me their mineral infused primers really seemed to help. Worth a try with their foundations. Thanks again.
I agree with all the comments that your skin is looking so nice! I know you use Paula's choice, and those products have really changed my life too. My skin has kind of regressed lately though. I'd love to see an updated video about exactly which Paula's choice products you use and when you use them. Love you and the kitties! 😺

Cassie you should REALLY start to test foundations with only ONE side of your face with primer. Some foundations just dont play well with some primers.

Loved the video! This is my everyday foundation, and it wears basically the same. When its cool weather and I'm not sweaty/greasy it lasts much better. I like the fact that when it fades off it looks relatively natural, not like patchy foundation.

Thanks for the way you reviewed it with different applicators. Good to know that it works better with a sponge. My face is regular except on my nose I get oily and sweat the most but then my cheeck and cheekbones area is dry!

I've tried this foundation before but I don't remember what I thought about it, so I dug my old bottle out and it had gone bad, thanks to you pointing out the 6 month best by date, because I probably wouldn't have checked. Anyway, I bought a new bottle and tried it out today and I am so happy with how it looks. This is the first time in months I've been happy with my foundation. My skin is oily but thanks to one of my prescription face products I have some dry patches, mainly my nose. It's held up all day with no touch ups. Thanks for making me try this foundation again!

Susie Nava really? I had their loose rice powder in translucent and I hated it. It did nothing for my oils. I have combination skin with a oily t zone and the occasional dry patches around my mouth. I just gave it to my sister because it doesn't work for me
So far I have tried pretty much EVERY ELF foundation and BB cream and not a single one lasts past 6-8 hours!! Always beautiful when first applied but horribly broken down by the end of the day (and I have normal to dry skin!!) Thanks for another great review Cassie!! 😀❤️

have you tried primers? i know it doesnt last long for me either but anything other than light coverage (acne fighting elf) makes me look cakey and full of pores (without primer)

Should proooobably go to bed, but Cassie just uploaded a video sooo ill just put on extra eye cream ;) something interesting I just learned recently about primers and foundations working well together is if the foundation is water based, use a water based primer, if the foundation is silicone based, use a silicon based primer. Seems so obvious, but I have never thought about that making a difference in foundation breaking down throughout the day! Hope that helps you in the future with foundations:)

Just because you use a primer doesn't mean your eliminating an independent variable. Primers have different ingredients that can interfere with foundations, which can be a confounding variable.

I freaking LOVE this foundation. I have combo skin with some really dry patches around my mouth and this foundation works great with my skin. The first time I wore it to an outside party (super windy and dusty) and it held out great. And yes after about 8-10 hours it got a little shiny but I just swiped a brush with no product around my face and I was good again. I am impressed by this. LOVE IT!!!

I have Combo Oily in the summer and Combo Dry skin in the winter and I love the Elf flawless foundation more in the winter then the summer. I have repurchased it as well. It works well for every day foundation where I'm not doing much. But I don't wear it for an all nighter stay put foundation. I thought it looked good on you for the most part. Hi Cassie! This foundation was a miss for me. I didn't like how thick it is. I wear foundation for at least 10 hours (I'm a special education teacher) and my holy grail is the Chanel Ultra Light Skin Perfecting foundation. You have to try it!! It lasts 10+ hours without fail. It's pricey but so worth it👍🏼 hugs from Virginia🤗
I just wanted to pop in to tell you that I just dreamt you made the weirdest commercial for a razor/shaving cream, using all sorts of stereotypes and tropes to sell it. I specifically remember you saying something along the lines of "Are you having issues shaving? Are you getting those red bumps and irritated skin? Try Dr.(insert random brand name)! All the youtubers are using it. It will clear up your skin in no time ~". You were super jolly the entire time and there were also kittens and explosions ~ for added effect (no exploding kittens though!). And then you demonstrated how to use a razor, naturally.
Fairly entertaining I must say ~ I am now also convinced you'd make a great commercial. ♡

CateSimulate Haha, oh, believe me ~ That dream is nothing to worry 'bout compared to what I normally dream.. In fact, it was a welcome relief, rather normal, cause usually my dreams are either terrifyingly freaky or so random that I couldn't ever imagine anything like them while awake.
Example: I've chased a thief in a water-filled arena. At the bottom of it there were two elevators, with torches on each side of them. You had to blow on a spoon in order for the torches to lit up and the elevator to come to your level. The thief took off in one of them, I went into the remaining one. Once inside it started to transform into a moving box with cat doors as your only escape. And that box was suddenly on an airplane and dumped mid-flight.. I do not remember if I survived the fall or not. Or if I never got to find out.
Either way ~ my mind creates the weirdest of dreams and uses all impressions from my life. It's quite interesting though.

Lydia Miller it's good if you have decent skin already and you like the natural look. If you like the airbrushed, face tuned foundation look, then invest in another foundation.

Cheap companies like ELF have a smaller shade range to keep the price point down, unfortunately. The more SKUs, the more it costs to make a product. I even have problems with some of the lightest shades being too dark.

Omg, i love momma squishy (and the masked man and pops..and so on). Instead of scratching myself till it bleeds, I just watch dr sandra do it. All the relief, none of the pain😊
the bottle says re apply after 6 hours. I've worn this foundation every day since 4th grade. I love that you did a review on the elf foundation, this isn't a full day foundation it's like a bb cream. Maybe after a few hours you could re apply? I love that you're a true person and you don't have fixed lighting or a blur effect on your camera. You show that you have imperfections and that's OK, we're human and that's just what it is

Well its ok though my acne is A LOT better now and I try to help people how the best I can when they're sad about their acne.

most foundations with spf say to reapply after so many hours! that's for if you're using the foundation as a sunscreen.

I have super oily skin and very acne prone I usually have the same problems but I started setting my foundation with corn starch an holy moly it made a huge difference. perhaps give it a try. love your channel. Love you!!xo

CateSimulate I never saw the video, but when I heard about it I was disgusted. It made me lose a lot of respect for her. It doesn't help that I can't stand Nikki, but that's not the point...it's just in poor taste, and she should know better. I guess she wants to be popular with these young youtubers...ugh
